A pair of unexpected competitors joined the swim meet. They were, more than likely, last-second registrants, but still managed to give everyone a run for their money. A UPS driver jumped into action to corral an escaped dog. The woman did not hesitate in the slightest after she witnessed the dog walk out the front door. Sadly, instead of too much, it often feels we have entirely too little of it. People have the surprising ability to inflict immense pain and suffering on one another. While this world is fallen and lost and can never be restored due to the destruction sin has brought upon it, we can all do things to make it a little better. She tried to coax the dog back, but when that didnt work, she took more drastic measures. She grabbed a bag of doggy treats to help guide the dog back into the house. The woman did not have to do that. It wasnt her job to worry about the dog, but she showed some kindness because she obviously knew how she would have felt if it were her dog that had turned up missing. Jacob, the 7 year old with the loose tooth, was complaining that the tooth was being stubborn, and wasn’t coming out. Jacob didn’t like the idea of twisting it around and around. So mommy and daddy pitched the idea of Pumpkee, the orange kitty, helping the Tooth Fairy out. Little Pumpkee was to perform a speedy kitty dash chasing the red laser dot to pluck the tooth out. It was a fun and exciting alternative to other scarier methods. Mommy, who is also a dental hygienist, tied a little string around the tooth, and around kitty’s waist. This cats escalator battle is too funny to miss. The determined feline refused to back down even though the odds appeared to be stacked against it. Technological advancements are supposed to make our lives easier, and that has generally been the case. Improvements in internet speeds and computers allow people to work remotely, from anywhere in the country or even the world. Cell phones allow us to communicate with nearly anyone at any time with lightning-fast speed. Advances in medical technology have brought about better medicine, extending our lives. However, a lot of that relies on the user. People can and do use those advancements for evil or even in ways that they werent intended.
