Blind Boy With Autism Christopher Duffley Sings Original 'It's Been You'

In Colossians 3:23, we learn about doing all things as if we are working for God. It means no matter how big or small, everything we do like tucking a child in at night or singing a song can glorify God. This includes a blind boy with Autism, Christopher Duffley, singing his song, “It’s Been You.” Grab a tissue and be prepared for joyful tears as you see God work through Christopher. He learned how to sing before he ever held a conversation. Born at 26 weeks, he was premature and then abandoned by his parents after it was discovered he was blind. His aunt found him in foster care and took on the task of raising him. Later, she discovered he had autism. He didn’t speak until first grade but he didn’t just learn how to talk, he learned to sing. When Christopher began to sing, it was discovered he had perfect pitch. Over the years, he began singing professionally. Now that he is a young adult, he is grateful to his aunt for raising him as her own. This young man revealed that he is filled with wisdom and humility as he put together a song that talks about his transition from a teen to a young adult. The song talks about how he feels like he needs his parents now more than ever. With lyrics like, “Who’s going to tuck me in at night? Who’s going to say a little prayer?” He says he wrote it because, “It’s the small things that parents do that are not seen or thought about.” Christopher knows what a gift his parents are. He also knows that transitioning from a teen to a young adult is tough too. Well done Christopher! Thank you for the reminder that we are all God’s creation. We all have a purpose to glorify God in all that we do. He created each of us unique and different, yet we all are made in his image. “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;” Colossians 3:23

'What Child Is This' Darius Rucker And Lindsey Stirling Sing Christmas Hymn

Check out this video of Darius Rucker and Lindsey Stirling performing the Christmas hymn ‘What Child Is This.’ “What Child is this, who laid to rest, on Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, while shepherds watch are keeping? So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh, come Peasant, King to own Him The King of Kings salvation brings, let loving hearts enthrone Him.” What a magical performance! Darius Rucker is singing the song while Lindsey Stirling beautifully dances and plays her violin while surrounded by so many lit up Christmas trees. The performance is from this year’s CMA Country Christmas, and it was aired on November 30th on ABC. “Great rendition, violin was an excellent complement to his voice,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “All in all, a beautiful rendition of this wonderful hymn.” “This is so beautiful it brought me to tears, more than once! Thank you for this!! Praise Jesus, the Lord, my savior!” writes another person online. The lyrics to the Christmas hymn ‘What Child Is This?’ was written by William Chatterton Dix in 1865. William spent most of his life as a businessman in Glasgow, Scotland. He was very interested in traditional English folk songs, and when he started writing the lyrics for ‘What Child Is This?, he decided to use the melody of ‘Greensleeves’ to create the carol. It is his most memorable and famous creation to date. We hope that you enjoyed watching this performance by the talented Darius Rucker and Lindsey Stirling, and may this Christmas season fill you with hope and joy! John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

'It Wasn't His Child' Country Christmas Performance From Tim McGraw

Listen to this wonderful Christmas performance by Tim McGraw of the song ‘It Wasn’t His Child.’ “He was her man, she was his wife, and late one winter night, He knelt by her as she gave birth, but it wasn't his child, it wasn't his child Yet still he took him as his own, and as he watched him grow, It brought him joy, but it wasn't his child, it wasn't his child” This beautiful song is by Trisha Yearwood, and it is on her album titled The Sweetest Gift. It’s a Christmas song that tells the story of Joseph, a story that we don’t often hear get told in Christmas music. Tim McGraw did a marvelous job performing ‘It Wasn’t His Child’ on CMA Country Christmas this year. He is seen sitting in a cozy Christmas scene with just an acoustic guitar accompanying him. Such a perfect setting for this performance. “The story of Joseph in music -- how God must have poured out so much love over Joseph and given him an extra measure of understanding and kindness to be the earthly father of Jesus. How blessed are we to hear the story in music from Tim McGraw,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “How beautiful. Tim did a wonderful job with his most beautiful voice,” writes another person online. “This was needed during such hard times, to help us to remember our Lord Jesus Christ and the greatest gift he gave to us.” We hope that you enjoyed this touching performance by Tim McGraw and fell in love with the beautiful humanity of this Christmas song about Joseph. Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
