Britain's Got Talent Winner Colin Thackery Returns With Ed Sheeran Cover

Winner of Britain’s Got Talent, Colin Thackery, returns to the stage for a dazzling performance of ‘Supermarket Flowers’ by Ed Sheeran. We first met Colin when he auditioned for the thirteenth season of Britain’s Got Talent. At 89-years-old, he was much older than most of the contestant but his heart is as young as ever. Colin shared the heartfelt story of the love and loss of his wife, Joan. It was just two weeks after his wedding to Joan that he was sent to Korea. Colin served in the 45th Regiment of the Royal Artillery and nearly died while he was fighting in Korea. Sadly, in 2016, Colin was forced to say goodbye to his love when she died in his arms. His initial audition was full of emotion as he belted out the words to Bette Midler’s ‘Wind Beneath My Wings.’ Week after week, Colin brought emotion and talent to each of his performances. Finally, he was crowned the winner and now holds the title of oldest winner of Britain’s Got Talent. Today, Colin is back on the stage that started it all as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 45 competitors from all of the Got Talent franchises. For six weeks, these all-stars will battle it out to see who will be crowned the ultimate champion. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. Before the performance, Colin and Joan’s love story plays on the screen behind him. Then, he begins to belt out the words to ‘Supermarket Flowers’ from pop artist Ed Sheeran. This song for his beloved wife earned a standing ovation. What a beautiful performance!

High Schooler On Drum Line Plays Blindfolded

In this fun video, a high schooler on the drum line plays his drum cadence blindfolded. What an impressive sight to see! The young man who is blindfolded in the video is Kobe Miller, and it is clear to see that he has put in the time and effort necessary to perform this amazing talent. Without using his eyes, Kobe relies on his muscle memory to play all the right beats for his drum performance. Playing his drums without looking appears to be second nature to him, almost like he does it out of habit. It takes discipline and determination to get to where he is with his talent. Good for him for working hard at something he is passionate about! Discipline is something that doesn’t just help when you are trying to master a talent, it helps in all avenues of life. When you are disciplined, you are able to form habits and practices in your life that can add value in many ways, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Habits that can get us into the Bible and prayer daily and keep us deeply connected in the body of Christ are spiritual life-savers. Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Like it says in this verse in Hebrews, it is a habit of some to neglect meeting together for corporate worship. But as followers of Jesus, we need to be connected to the body of believers and make church a priority. It may take discipline to make it regularly to service on Sundays, but soon it will become habitual and greatly add to your spiritual growth. In what areas of your life do you need to form better habits? Just like Kobe’s impressive drum playing, all it takes is some time and discipline, and soon you will see the fruits of your hard work!

Singer Bonnie Anderson Performs 'You Say' By Lauren Daigle On Britain's Got Talent

Bonnie Anderson returns to the Got Talent stage with a moving performance of ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle. This powerful single earned worldwide attention and even won a 2019 Grammy Award. The poignant lyrics serve as a reminder that when we feel small, God can lift us to greater heights. “I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know” Bonnie Anderson was just 12 years old when she won the first season of Australia’s Got Talent. Her bold voice captured the attention of the judges and she’s continued to rise in the music industry. Now, she’s back on the big stage as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 45 competitors from all of the Got Talent franchises. For six weeks, these all-stars will battle it out to see who will be crowned the ultimate champion. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. Bonnie clearly made an impression as she belted out the lyrics to Lauren Daigle’s hit, ‘You Say.’ “You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak And you say I am held when I am falling short And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours” God is truly our light and our strength. These words remind us that when we put our trust in Him, there is no obstacle we cannot face.

Chick-Fil-A Manager Performs CPR On Unconscious Customer

A Chick-Fil-A manager is being hailed a hero after saving the life of an unresponsive customer. Chick-Fil-A restaurants are known for their impeccable service and variety of delicious foods. You always know when you walk through the doors that you are going to be served a great meal with a side of kindness. Whether it is inside the restaurant or going through the drive thru, Chick-Fil-A employees are always there to greet you with a smile and positive attitude. One Chick-Fil-A manager went above and beyond the call of duty when he helped save a customer’s life. Tauya Nenguke was outside working the drive thru when he noticed an unusual sight by one of the parked cars. There was a group of panicked people surrounding the car. Upon closer inspection, Tauya found a customer inside their vehicle who was not breathing and unresponsive. Tauya is a pre-nursing student so he recalled his training and immediately leapt into action to start CPR. "There wasn't any hesitation on my part. I knew that was where God placed me at that time. This was honestly a really big calling to be in health care because it was like instinct took over." Thankfully, the gentleman is okay. After paramedics arrived, they said that the outcome could’ve been very different if Tauya had not been on scene. There is no doubt that God put this man in the right place at the right time. Because of this brave Chick-Fil-A manager, another man is alive today.

Follow Your Dreams by Winner Shashi

In childhood, it was always taught that sons do not insist, it is a bad thing to do. Because children are childish in stubbornness, they do not know the difference between right and wrong, they do not know what is good and what is bad for them.

But today I say, be stubborn, insist to get something, to do something to become something.

Autism Teaches Us! "Andrew's Song"

Autism Teaches Us!

A young boy living with Autism gave me a great lesson many years ago. The world’s largest Crucifix is in my hometown. Our friend’s son, Andrew, loved visiting this Cross in the Woods and kept asking his parents to take him to see It, over and over. He was fixated on the Cross and even collected manger scenes as well. We often want to help others who live with Autism be more like the rest of us. This boy’s thirst for the Cross made me think, maybe we should strive to be more like him. I wrote the following song about the lesson this amazing young man gave me. It’s called, “Andrew’s Song”

“Andrew’s Song"

They say, that he was born different.
He is not like you and me, and may not fit in society.
They say, that he is not normal.
His brain doesn’t work like yours, and yet there is no known cure.
But he says, Mom and Dad, will you take me to see, the Big Cross in the woods.
Oh I, wish I was more different, I wish I wasn’t so normal,
I wish I was more like Andrew, I wish I felt more like he does.
They say, he has trouble relating, to the outside world we’re in,
He doesn’t understand his own feelings.
They say, he has weird attachments, to certain objects as he grows,
That might fade away when he’s old,
But now he says, Mom and Dad, will you take me to see, the Big Cross in the woods.
Oh I, wish I was more different, I wish I wasn’t so normal,
I wish I was more like Andrew, I wish I felt more like he does.
We should all be more different, much more less normal.
Take a lesson from Andrew, and be more like him,
A whole lot more like him, A whole lot more like him!
