10-Year-Old Opera Singer Emanne Beasha Performs 'Nessun Dorma' On AGT

10-year-old Emanne Beasha brings the crowd to their feet with her performance of the opera classic ‘Nessun Dorma.’ This famous song is featured in the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot. Over the years, it has become a notable opera staple spurning covers from countless artists. But it wasn’t until Luciano Pavarotti's 1972 recording of the song that it became a pop culture phenomenon. ‘Nessun Dorma’ also became a common tune used during sports events such as European football and soccer. Translated to English, the lyrics go like this: “None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Not even you, oh Princess, in your cold bedroom, watching the stars that tremble with love and with hope!” With an arrangement full of high notes and tricky keys, ‘Nessun Dorma’ is not an easy song to perform. And today, young Emanne Beasha is lending her vocals to the famous tune. This Florida native was full of nerves as she stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage to audition. But her positive personality was shining through and you could tell that this was going to be a performance to remember. From the very moment that she started to sing, Emanne hit every single note flawlessly. I cannot believe that this bold opera voice can come out of a girl like this. With a voice well beyond her ten years, it’s safe to say that Emanne has a bright future ahead of her. What did you think of Emanne and her performance of ‘Nessun Dorma?’

Elephants Rush To Protect Babies From Wild Dog Attack

One man was able to record an incredible group of elephants rushing to protect their babies from a wild dog attack out in the wilderness. What an amazing sight! And with elephants being the largest animals on land, I’m sure the wild dogs knew that they were no match against them. In the video, we first see a group of wild dogs in front of the camera surrounded by tall grasses and shrubs. Then a herd of elephants come walking into the scene. There is at least a dozen of them, some being grown adults and some being little baby elephants. The herd is very important to an elephant, because these creatures really value their family structure, perhaps more so than many other animals. They are capable of forming very special bonds with their friends and family members in their herd, and they are always looking out for each other. And when one feels threatened, they all come to help provide protection. Just like in this video! You can tell that the momma instinct kicked in when the adult elephants saw the dogs. Because they felt threatened, some of them starting swinging and blowing their trunks to make loud noises to scare away the wild dogs. Then the group started to clump together and make a protective circle around their babies. They wanted to make sure that the babies were safe and would do anything to keep it that way! Such good momma elephants. The man in the video is watching this all unfold from a safe distance and comments on the interaction that just took place. “Even though wild dogs don’t actually really show any potential threat to the elephants…elephants just react really negatively to any predator,” he explains. God bless these magnificent creatures and the beauty they bring to this world!

Talented Dog And Trainer Perform 'Footloose' Routine On AGT

Lukas and his dog Falco stun the audience with their impressive ‘Footloose’ routine on America’s Got Talent. As a kid, Lukas never dreamed he’d be working and training a dog. “When I was a child, I was afraid of dogs. They terrified me and I know never ever will I accept a dog into our family. When I was fourteen, my worst nightmare became a reality. My family told me that we would get a dog.” His parents brought home Falco as a puppy and Lukas couldn’t resist this adorable little guy. “At first, I didn’t want to be his friend. But eventually, I just looked at his eyes and he was the first dog that won me over.” From that point on, the duo were inseparable. Lukas and Falco trained every single day and learned all kinds of tricks and skills. For the past nine years, these two have competed all over the world and now they are auditioning for America’s Got Talent. 22-year-old Lukas may be young, but he knows that the rigors of competing are growing tiresome for Falco as he ages. After AGT, Falco will be retiring. But Lukas is determined to go out with a bang. Just watch as this duo performs an intricate agility routine set to the tune of ‘Footloose.’ At the beginning, Falco even dons a cowboy hat. After the performance, all of the judges were in awe of the talent and skill displayed. Simon Cowell is open about his love for dogs and their trainers. He said, “He has amazing personality, but also importantly, so do you.” Howie Mandel described the routine as “Boot-scootin’-doggie.” The pair easily earned four ‘yes’ votes and they will continue on in the competition.

Award-Winning Border Collie Ends Agility Routine With Sweet Embrace

After winning an agility competition, this quick and energetic border collie has a sweet embrace with her handler while celebrating her victory! The border collie’s name is P!nk, spelled like the famous singer. Her owner and handler’s name is Jennifer Crank from Pickerington, Ohio. As the two prepare for the course, one of the announcers says, “P!nk wants to get the party started tonight!” A funny little nod at the title of one of P!nk’s famous songs. The pooch is clearly ready to go, and her loud barks show just how excited she is to take on the challenge ahead. When her owner gives her the signal, she bolts ahead racing into the agility course. The border collie quickly jumps over the poles, races through the tunnels, and ultimately clears every obstacle that is placed in her way with great agility and speed. She finished the course with zero errors. What a phenomenal job by P!nk! One of the commentators said it best: “That was just sheer beauty. Beautiful lines, Jennifer out in front and P!nk following…gorgeous!” P!nk won the agility competition with a running time of 31.23 seconds. She’s a fast one! Since she was also the champion last year, this border collie is now the proud winner of back-to-back titles in the 16" class at the 2019 WKC Masters Agility. After the competition, an interviewer complimented Jennifer on P!nk’s skills. ““She was flawless on those weave poles, just like water,” she said. “How do you teach that?” “That’s one of her favorite obstacles,” Jennifer replied. “You build a lot of value for them. Use her favorite toys and her favorite treats. Make her absolutely love the game.” The cutest sight to see was at the end of the course when P!nk jumped into Jennifer’s arms and they shared a sweet embrace. Such a perfect way to celebrate her win!

13-Year-Old Pianist Plays For Passengers In Airport

A young and talented 13-year-old pianist has got a gig playing for passengers as they pass through the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. And while he plays, people can be seen rocking along to his music in chairs nearby, taking pictures and videos of him while they stand and watch, or even dancing along to the music in the main concourse. He is definitely a crowd pleaser! Evan Brezicki, who lives in Mooresville, NC with his parents and older brother, has eight years of piano training and is one of Charlotte’s most talented young pianists. He volunteers his time, once a week, to share his talent with people in the airport. And with the Charlotte airport being the sixth busiest airport in the country and the seventh worldwide, many people have been blessed to hear Evan play. “I’m here to brighten people’s days, I guess,” Evan says with a smile. The talented musician has a wide variety of songs on his play list, most of which he plays from memory. His fingers move up and down the keys while songs from so many different artists, like Billy Joel, Beethoven, Queen, or Adele come out from the piano. “He’s always a crowd stopper,” says Charles Tabor, who is the airport’s exhibit coordinator that oversees the volunteer piano program. “He plays, and everybody stops to watch.” But Charles admits that he wasn’t so sure about Evan playing in the airport at first, because of his young age. “When I brought him on, I was kind of skeptical because he’s so young. But after hearing his music, I decided that, not only is he a good player, but he can be an inspiration to all kids that are coming through the airport.” Some of the travelers that hear Evan play even leave him notes of appreciation. “Most of the notes that people give me are like, ‘Thank you so much. You’ve taken the stress off of traveling,” Evan says. “I think that’s mostly what people feel.” He even gets tips sometimes from people passing by, which he is saving up for his college education. And Evan says that if he ends up going to college nearby, he’d like to continue doing his gig at the airport. What a talented young man who is using his gift to bring joy to others! May he continue to do what he loves and bless those around him with his music.

PTSD: Overcoming the Trauma of Abuse

This is my story of God's grace and healing. In this video, I share my childhood story of growing up in a physically and sexually abusive situation. I talk about the emotional trauma and living with PTSD for almost 50 years before really starting the healing process with a Christian therapist.

As a child, I believed the lies of my abusers. I believed I was worthless, stupid, and bound for failure, but that wasn't true, and it surely wasn't what God intended for my life. Shame and guilty became the burdens I carried as I kept the darkest of secrets. Trusting others was almost impossible, but God in His gentleness guided me right where I needed to be in order to learn how to trust.

This video is part 1 and in part 2 I sit down with my Christian counselor for a Q&A session about the healing process in connection with my faith in Christ. Downloads of this video and part two can be found on the resource page at www.christcenteredsolutions.org

Residents At Nursing Home Have Fun On A Slip N Slide

Elderly residents at The Oaks At Northpointe were in for a treat when they recently had the chance to enjoy a Slip N Slide. This Zanesville, Ohio assisted living facility is not your average senior living community. On their Facebook page, The Oaks is known for “no long, barren hallways or depressing décor. Instead, our rooms are filled with warmth, the smell of home cooked food, and friendly people who never pass up an opportunity to say hello.” Another noteworthy feature of the community is their Senior Health and Wellness Day. On this particular sunny day, the residents experienced a throwback to their youth as staff prepared a Slip N Slide outside. Many of us have taken our own rides on this popular summer staple which features a long, slick mat that is covered with water. Some people will slide down using just their bodies, but these residents were set up on a special float that allowed them to be safely strapped in. Then, two staff remembers guided the float down the slide at a controlled speed. As we watch this resident take her turn on the attraction, you can see the huge smile spread across her face. Just because we grow older does not mean that we cannot experience the joys and wonders from our youth. It’s so incredible to see this assisted living facility work so hard to make sure that their residents are happy, healthy and full of life. Other people are taking notice too. In fact, this clip has over 7 million views across social media and the number is still climbing. This is just another example that age is just a number.

Lion King Cast Surprises Train Station With 'Circle Of Life' Performance

The cast of The Lion King from Disneyland Paris surprise train passengers with a performance of ‘Circle Of Life.’ This iconic song became a standout hit after accompanying the 1994 Disney animated film, The Lion King. The song was composed by Elton John and the lyrics were written by Tim Rice. The iconic tune climbed the Billboard charts and still remains a beloved favorite today. ‘Circle Of Life’ will even be featured in the new live-action remake of the Disney classic. “It's the circle of life And it moves us all Through despair and hope Through faith and love Till we find our place On the path unwinding In the circle The circle of life” Today, this song is coming to life in an entirely new way. At Disneyland Paris, the park is gearing up for the upcoming Lion King and Jungle Festival. To celebrate the start, cast members from the festival came together at a Paris train station. As travelers walk by, the singers start to belt out the famous lyrics. Little by little, a crowd starts to form and people take notice of the incredible performance happening right in front of them. More and more singers join in and once they start clapping, the whole crowd joins in too. By the end of the song, the cast is surrounded by passerbys with their phones in the air, recording the entire moment. This was definitely a surprise that no one saw coming but I’m sure it brightened a lot of people’s day.

High Schoolers Hold Dance At Hospital For Sick Classmate

High school classmates help organize a senior dance for a sick classmate battling cancer. 19-year-old Ilijah Barron is a senior at Liverpool High School in upstate New York. Two years ago, he was a normal student and even played on the varsity football time. But all of that changed when Ilijah started to notice a pain in his legs. After multiple tests, doctors found a tumor in the young man’s leg. Ilijah was diagnosed with a bone cancer called osteosarcoma. His entire life changed. Before his diagnosis, Ilijah was planning on going to the annual senior prom. Unfortunately, he found himself in the hospital two days before the ball. That’s when his mother came up with the idea to bring the dance to her son. Along with a group of classmates and hospital workers, Ilijah’s mother transformed the 11th floor of the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital into a beautiful dance. There was music, a photo booth and even a catered dinner. The students donned their tuxes and gowns to help Ilijah celebrate his senior prom in an amazing way. The incredible surprise touched this young man and even brought on a few tears. Shortly after the hospital prom, Ilijah stood up and walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma. This inspiring young man isn’t letting his cancer keep him down and it’s such an incredible moment to witness. It’s such a blessing to know that Illijah has an amazing support system behind him. We will continue to pray for Ilijah and his entire family as they face this battle.
