Bus Driver Makes The Kids Smile With Funny Costumes Each Day

In this hilariously inspiring video, a bus driver makes the kids smile with funny costumes each day.

As we first hear a bus driver say, “I’m the troublemaker on the bus,” it intrigues us to want to know more. Kevin Hughes is a bus driver in Missouri for elementary schools and he is a blessing to his students. He is shown in a variety of photos wearing costumes such as a bunny at Easter and a leprechaun at St. Patrick's Day. Kevin loves to make the kids laugh.

Kevin says, “These are trying times and I’m just putting a little fun in the workplace. If I’ve made you laugh, I’ve done my job.”

Not only does Kevin make students laugh, he is an amazing bus driver. He was named the Transportation Department’s employee of the year. Kevin shares that the kids love the outfits. Sometimes they don’t understand them, but most of the time they do. The children who are blessed enough to ride the 229 bus get to have some fun on their ride.

Kevin’s outlook on being positive in hard times reminds us to find joy in Christ and to share His love with others. Kevin thought creatively about how to brighten the days of his students. He was thinking outwardly.

In our lives, it is easy to get caught up with selfishness. However, when we think about others, we can live missionally and purposefully to bless them even on the hardest days.

“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:3-5

Unforgettable X Factor Audition Features Jennifer Holliday's 'And I Am Telling You'

Unforgettable X Factor Audition Features Jennifer Holliday's 'And I Am Telling You'

If you enjoy listening to a powerhouse vocalist who is only 17-years-old, then check out this incredible video. This is an unforgettable X Factor audition that features Jennifer Holiday’s “And I Am Telling You.”

As a young and confident woman enters the stage she begins to share with the judges that she wanted to audition a year ago but felt like she needed more time to grow in her confidence. Lanya Matthews is only 17 and she is shining.

Lanya tells the judges that feels confident and ready and hopes to do well at her song. As she begins singing the audience is wowed, waves of people begin standing in amazement. Lanya has a powerful voice. She is strong at entertaining and knows how to captivate the crowd. Her entire family is seen cheering her on in excitement.

This girl belts out her heart and in the end, everyone, including the judges are standing in applause. She sweetly smiles and mouths thank you. One judge says, “That was more than a performance, that was a statement.” Another judge says “Lanya, when I sing in the shower, in my head, that’s what I sound like.”

What I love is that this young woman clearly has some genuine nerves about this audition, however, she practiced and chose to be confident. Sometimes God pushes us out of our comfort zones or we may not feel ready for something new, but He walks with us and provides inner confidence in Christ that can help us be brave. Remember today that confidence is faith in action.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

This 1971 hit was written by Kenny Loggins. It was featured on the first album released by Kenny and Jim Messina, known by their stage name Loggins And Messina. Decades later, the words still move hearts all around the world.

He will be like she and me, as free as a dove, conceived in love,
Sun is gonna shine above”

'Sunshine On My Shoulders' 2 Men Sing A Cappella John Denver Cover

Be transported back in time as the a cappella voices of Peter Hollens and Tim Foust perform the John Denver classic ‘Sunshine On My Shoulders .’

This 1973 hit was featured on John’s album, Poems, Prayers & Promises.

“Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high”

Peter Hollens became an instant social media star when he started to post a cappella cover songs of our favorite tunes such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ‘You Raise Me Up.’

Many of his videos went viral and now it’s his full-time job to make incredible a cappella musical arrangements of popular songs and powerful originals.

Tim Foust is another a cappella sensation. You may recognize him as a member of Home Free, an a cappella group that won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013.

Today, these two distinct voices are coming together for a unique performance of ‘Sunshine On My Shoulders .’

“If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you the day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way”

This song is truly a much-needed dose of nostalgia and I just love this a cappella performance. All of the sounds that you are hearing come from the human mouth and it’s absolutely incredible to listen to this stunning arrangement.

How Can You Control Over Your Emotions

Emotional control is the capacity to recognize and direct your feelings and react in a socially average and adaptable manner and furthermore have a specific degree of control over unconstrained responses.

Abundance Mindset all time strategy

An abundance mindset is the way to go or perspective that there are an adequate number of assets and victories for all to share. This perspective is appeared differently in relation to a world view limited by fear, or the possibility that there isn't to the point of going around and that every individual should monitor their achievements or assets from others.

86-Year-Old Widow Loves Babies So His Caretaker Set Up A Beautiful Surprise

Floyd’s caretaker will do anything to put a smile on his face and has an extra special relationship with him. The 86-year-old caretaker sets up a beautiful surprise that has the internet melting in response. This past year Floyd lost the love of his life when his wife was called home. After decades together with his wife, he was alone and unable to care for himself.

As if losing his wife wasn’t enough of an adjustment, he also had to adjust to living in a nursing home. But one of his caretakers got to know Floyd when she learned he absolutely loved babies. So she asked her son if he would be willing to bring his daughter in to visit Floyd. And your eyes will fill with tears as you witness Floyd’s face transform to a look of absolute, pure joy.

In fact, they now bring this sweet baby often and they’ve developed a special bond with Floyd. He even gets the baby little gifts like cute outfits and baby toys. And the best part is this sweet little baby girl adores Floyd too. When she sees Floyd, her eyes light up with recognition as a grin spreads across her chubby little face.

Later when the video was posted online, it started trending because it was such a sweet moment of kindness and a reminder of the special bond older adults have with infants. One viewed posted,

“The model of having daycare centers within care homes needs to be more widespread! The bond between babies and older adults is unreal, and the relationship is so mutually beneficial! ❤️ My little one loves her GG’s (great grannies.) They take a slower pace to things and seem to have a more mindful relaxed approach to life, something in common with little ones!”

While another commented, “I used to take my son to the nursing home where I worked when he was born. He had his younger years in that home. All the residents were there throughout my pregnancy so I would take him to meet all the residents. Their faces would light up when I took him in. When he was three he would come every Sunday and clean their glasses, walking sticks, and Zimmer frames.”

It’s safe to say we all realize just how special these relationships are. And we are all melting over the love Floyd shows this precious little babe!

"Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him." Psalm 127:3

New Neighbor Asks News Station To Bless Local Pharmacist Going Above And Beyond

Pharmacists typically see us at our worst. We are either sick or getting over an illness especially during the pandemic. And more often than not, the last thing we want to do when we aren’t feeling well is to stand in line waiting to pick up our prescriptions. But, a pharmacist by the name of Tye received special recognition when a new neighbor asked a news station to bless a local pharmacist for going above and beyond to make him feel welcome.

Inside an email sent to the news station read:

“Tye is a pharmacist at Idaho Drug and he goes beyond what a pharmacist is supposed to do for his people. He has given me advice and goes above and beyond his job to help people in need. We moved here four months ago and I only had a sister-in-law. His pharmacy is like our family. He welcomed us with open arms. He is so kind, has a heart of gold and I feel he should be appreciated for his work in our community.”

Because of this thoughtful email, the East Idaho News decided to pay Tye a visit and let him know how his acts of kindness impacted others in the community. Not only was Tye surprised, he couldn’t take the credit as he mentioned how great his staff are at helping him deliver the best kind of interactions with those in the community. Tye was gifted several gift cards but he plans on giving a few of them to his staff members instead!

May this inspirational and kind moment inspire us to thank someone in our lives who has impacted our lives. It is an incredible feeling to put a smile on another person's face and it’s heartwarming to know your words and thoughts can lift the spirits of others when they feel appreciated.

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23-24

Daughter Helps Dad Complete Bucket List After Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

This story reveals the spirit of humanity as a daughter helps her dad complete a bucket list after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Patrick Mitchell had high hopes of living to the age of 100, but at the age of 72, he received news he likely wouldn’t have long to live. When his daughter Vanessa received the news he had stage four pancreatic cancer, she knew time was running out, so she decided to embrace what little time she had left with her father.

Vanessa wanted to make as many memories as possible with her father. She then came up with a plan to take a month off of work to spend time with her dad. But her plans didn’t stop there. She posted her father's story in the Coronado Happenings Facebook Group asking for things to do but she didn’t want touristy things to do–she wanted more memorable moments with her Dad. She assumed she would get a few suggestions from the community group and she certainly didn’t expect to receive hundreds of responses. Not only did the responses pour in but those who read her father’s story wanted to help too.

One generous stranger offered to take Vanessa and her father on a private tour of the U.S. Navy helicopter squadron. Another stranger generously offered Patrick and Vanessa a private tour of a Navy Assault Ship which brought back many memories for Patrick from his former glory days in the military. The pair were also given tickets to fly to Las Vegas to stay at the Paris Hotel and even attended a UFC fight. Vanessa and Patrick had never attended one but really enjoyed the bonding experience they shared. Perhaps one of the most beautiful gifts Patrick received was a violinist coming to his home to play many of his favorite songs.

Can you imagine just how special these last moments were for Patrick and his daughter? Vanessa says she will forever treasure the kindness, compassion, and generosity that was shown to her and her father before he was called home. Even though her dad passed from this side of heaven to the next, she is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love from strangers.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  2 Corinthians 9:6-8

After 40 Years Apart, Couple Finds Each Other Again

There is nothing sweeter than a love story. In this video after 40 years apart, a couple finds each other again.

This clip is what the movies are made of and I would not be surprised if they made a film after this couple. Jeanne Gustavson shares about her “chronic regret” from not marrying the love of her life due to pressures to end things in the 70s since they were an interracial couple. Jeanne shows a yearbook from where she had a college sweetheart named Stephen Watts. They were in German class together and fell in love, however, her mother did not approve and she broke up with Stephen.

Jeanne decided to track Stephen down and he was in a nursing home. He was divorced with no kids. He was homeless and had two strokes, but she said he is still the wonderful man that she knew. Jeanne says all the feelings came rushing back. Jeanne moved him from the nursing home to her own. She is his caretaker now. The man says, “I always loved you” as tears fell from his eyes. These two probably thought that they would never have another opportunity to see each other again.

This story reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Even though racism stood in the way of their life together, their love never ended. God’s love for us is eternal. Through Jesus, nothing can separate us from the love of God. We can be confident that He will never leave us or abandon us.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Kind Strangers Save Leopard Trapped In Barbed-Wire

This is an action clip unlike any other. In a touching video, kind strangers save a leopard who is trapped in barbed wire.

This poor animal was struggling to escape the pain and entrapment from a barbed-wire fence. The leopard begins to give up. Suddenly the mouth of anger responds and a tranquilizing dart hits the ferocious feline. When the leopard begins to rest and fall asleep the people come to his aid.

One person covers the leopard’s face with a towel while the other uses large wire cutters to remove the wires. Suddenly, he cannot reach so the two guys each hold one side of the cutters together. They have to remove the wires that have been wrapped around the leopard’s entire torso. Suddenly, the trap is released and they are able to get the large animal over the rocks and into a net.

This group strategically carries the leopard to a crate and removes the towel and equipment as they close him in for their own safety, because he is still a hunting predator. Rescuers took the leopard to a rehab facility and he was rehabilitated back to the wild. This leopard was saved from a painful death by some brave humans.

This reminds us of how we were once trapped in our sins, but God has made us alive again through Christ. We do not have to be held down by our old ways but can live free because of Jesus. Our sins held us down like the leopard trapped by barbed wire, but Jesus came and saved us.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:2
