It is always inspiring when you see older people receiving their just rewards. In this video, a 92-year-old crossing guard retires and gets the sweetest goodbye. Robert Frew is a 92-year-old man who chose at the age of 75 to begin working as a school crossing guard in Florida. Each proudly wore his uniform, ‘elbow-fiving’ kids while he held up his stop sign to help them and their parents cross the road. In this viral video, Robert shares, “I was only going to do it for a couple of years, but it gets into your blood.” Before starting his second career with the school, Robert worked at a phone company. The school gave him an honoring send-off with parents wearing matching t-shirts and holding posters that said, “Happy Retirement Mr. Bob.” In this super sweet clip you see small kids hugging “Mr. Bob” and cars honking in celebration. The principal of the school kindly declares June 4th “Robert Frew Day!” This reminds me of the popular Bible verse that tells us to do everything for the glory of the Lord. I love how Bob found such joy in his job and wasn’t defined by his age. Since he remained in good health, he took the opportunity to brighten the days of others. Bob chose to use his retirement years to be a blessing to his community. This not only gave others joy, but it brought a lot of fun into Bob’s life. This is a wonderful reminder that as long as we are breathing, the Lord has a purpose for us. Although we might have different roles in various seasons, we have a purpose in Christ. Sometimes in the daily routine of work, we can forget our value. I hope that this video encourages you that whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

Watch the sweet moment that this mama cow reunites with her baby cow after a heartbreaking separation. Maybelle the cow arrived at The Gentle Barn in California alone and depressed. When the trailer doors opened, she seemed very anxious to enter her new home. My heart hurts for the sweet cow. In her stall and in the fields, Maybelle cried out dramatic moos while pacing. Even after some time of getting used to her new home, Maybelle continued to moo with a purpose. She sounded like she was experiencing pain, but she didn’t have any injuries. Ellie Laks founded The Gentle Barn more than 20 years ago to rescue animals. Jay Weiner volunteered a few years later and eventually teamed up with Ellie to devote themselves to improving the lives of animals. Once their health improves, rescued animals join the others that greet children almost every day. The nonprofit has another location in Tennessee and one more in Missouri. In her experience, Ellie knew that when a cow cried like that, it usually missed a baby that got separated from it. Nothing would heal Maybell’s pain except seeing her baby again. When the rescue picked Maybelle up from her previous farm, the owner said she didn’t have a baby. Jay returned to the farm to find out if there was a baby that was left behind and... there was! Maybelle’s baby was still there! The previous owner planned on keeping the baby, but they must’ve come to an agreement because the calf was on its way to mommy! Jay called Ellie to let her know that baby was coming back with him, and she immediately started crying. I’m so excited that happy tears are already forming. As soon as the truck pulled up, the two cows began to call out for each other non-stop. Maybelle’s baby ran off of the trailer to reunite with his mama. Ellie said, “They walked away together and have been inseparable since.” The love that a mama has for her baby is a wonderful thing. Hug your mama the next time you see her and remember everything that she’s done for you. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Proverbs 31:28–29

MIKE DENVER, known as “The Galway Boy”, is one of Ireland’s top Entertainers, having celebrated over 16 years in the entertainment scene. He forged a career as one of Ireland's foremost country singers, due in part to a relentless touring schedule and regular studio work. Born in Galway as Michael Fallon, the future singer was brought up around his mother's deep love for country music. By the time he was 16 he took to performing live alongside his mother around Northern Ireland.

A few years on, in 2003, Denver had written and recorded his debut album, Wings to Fly. Over the years that followed, Denver maintained a busy touring schedule, whilst at the same time heading into the studio to regularly record full-length albums, including Seasons in the Sun (2008), Vintage Country (2011), and There's Only One Mike Denver (2013); perhaps his biggest highlight was 2008's Got a Funny Feelin', which featured country legend George Jones. When I think of a soldier, many times I only imagine a battlefield. However, these are multitalented people who have many gifts. In this video a U.S. navy band performs “America the Beautiful.” This clip highlights the U.S. Navy Band Brass Quintet. We see classy soldiers dressed their best in white uniforms with gold accent buttons. As we hear from the group of five musicians, we see the trumpet, french horn, tuba, saxophone, and trombone. The song in which these brave men play is more than just a performance. Each one truly believes that America is their nation and they are willing to fight for freedom in the military. The great courage of these men far exceeds the bravery it takes to step up and perform a song. Each one has made a bold decision to sacrifice his time, energy, and even willing to lose his life on behalf of the country of America. As we listen to this stunning rendition of one of our nation’s anthems, may we remember the great sacrifice of those who came before us and those currently serving in the military. America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea! Many times we can feel defeated or fearful about the future. However, over the course of our country’s history, there have been leaders who have honored God and He has been faithful to them. It is important that we continue to look to Christ and to respect those willing to serve and die on our behalf. No matter where each of us goes, it is a great reminder that the Lord loves us and just as He is always with these soldiers, He is with us too. "This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

This adorable 100-pound beagle loses weight and learns to be a puppy again! Jameson the Beagle’s original owner surrendered him to the Arizona Beagle Rescue when he was only three years old -- except this young pup weighed a hefty 100 pounds. Although still adorable, there was nothing cute about his health. Jamie originally lived with an older owner that would feed him ice cream and cheeseburgers almost every day. As tasty as that sounds, those treats didn’t give him the nutrients he needed for a healthy life. The beagle’s foster home would have to drag him outside on top of his bed and carry him around in large tote bags to go to and from vet appointments. Short walks with a bunch of breaks got him started, but. The extra weight eventually took a toll on the poor pup’s knees. He had surgery to repair both! Jamie’s rescuers weren’t going to give up. They knew he’d lose weight and become a happy and healthy pooch! His foster mom said, “Once Jameson had his knee surgeries, it was like a totally different dog.” When the vets cleared him to go on walks, Jamie couldn’t get enough. His mom said, “It was like this athlete was just building inside of him.” Erin and Chad have been rescuing Beagles for over 10 years and just happened to end up with multiple obese hounds. Each of the chunky dogs before Jamie reached its goal weight, and soon enough, Jamie did too. He could barely engage with other dogs when he first arrived because it was way too difficult for him to move around. But once the pounds began to disappear, his playful side reappeared! Jameson pounced around with his foster buddies and eventually began running 5k’s with Erin and Chad. We are all rooting for you, Jamie! And bless his rescuers for dedicating their lives to improving the lives of these poor animals. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Watch this woman as she fights off a bear trying to attack her dogs! This mama bear chose the wrong balcony to climb! You’ve heard that you should never mess with a mama bear with her cubs around. But have you ever thought the same thing about dog mom and her fur babies? Well, maybe you should! This clip shows footage from a security camera perched on Citlally Morinico’s patio, but the brave human? That’s her 17-year-old daughter, Hailey, running to her tiny pup’s rescue. She said that in the moment, she didn’t think twice about it. She just ran. The dogs were hanging outside on the enclosed patio alone until the owners heard them barking. Thinking that their dogs bark from time to time at random dogs or people, a bear was the last thing Hailey expected. In the beginning, the mama bear leads her cubs across the stone wall. Yes, they are wild animals just going about their day. Unfortunately, the dogs noticed and charged toward the bears frightening the cubs and triggering the mom. Three tiny dogs bravely stood up to this bear along with their bigger doggy sibling who immediately went face to face with mama bear. You can see the black dog jumping and barking at the bear while it swats back. My heart was pounding just watching! It’s a good thing the two weren’t on the same level! It seems like the bear got a good swat at the bigger dog’s face because it quickly ran the other way after a few seconds. That’s when mama bear starts swatting at one of the little ones. Somehow mama bear snatches the poor pooch, but luckily, Hailey got there just in time to shove the bear! The little guy was dropped inside the walls and scurried back toward the door while Hailey picked up another small pup that wanted to get a couple of good swings at the bear. Brave little guy! Luckily, no people, pups, or bears were severely harmed. Brava to Hailey for having the guts to fight a bear! Here’s to hoping that no bears or other dangerous wildlife mess with your dogs again!
