Son Who Isn't A Chef Starts Selling Cheesesteaks To Fund Sick Mom's Travel Dreams

A son who isn’t a chef did something great for his momma. He sold cheesesteaks to make his terminally ill mother’s dream come true. What mother wouldn’t be proud? “What you won’t do, do for love,” Bobby Caldwell sang about. We perform amazing actions out of love, not just romantically, but for family members too. Dustin Vitale knows this firsthand. His terminally ill mother Gloria was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Knowing that her time with him was going to be shorter than either expected, he did something amazing. Without any formal training, Dustin became his own sort of chef and started making and selling cheesesteaks. His goal - take his mother to a place she had always wanted to go, the pyramids of Egypt. And in the end, he plans to do just that, while also bringing along their other 14 relatives for the trip. Dustin’s cheesesteak sales he’s been whipping up in the kitchen are in addition to his full-time career. He normally serves his community as a middle-school teacher in Philadelphia. Dustin came up with the cheesesteak idea to be able to help with expenses and serve his mother well, too. What makes his feat more extraordinary is that he didn’t sell from a restaurant. Vitale’s Steaks happened in his own home, in his own kitchen. Responding to the question of what pushed him forward, Dustin said, “Love for my mom.” Dustin used his mother’s recipe to cook huge and delicious steak sandwiches. His initial customers were family and friends, driving over to his home to show support. However, that was short-lived as the list of clientele grew quickly. He wasn’t initially confident about being able to pay for his mother’s trip, but God clearly blessed this man at the same time he worked to bless others. Within 6 weeks Dustin had more than enough money for the trip, thanks to the help of all his supporters, especially those who took to advertising for him on social media. Someone was kind enough to lend their food truck for the cause. “Cleopatra never had it so good,” Gloria said. Gloria’s trip with her son Dustin is set to happen later this year. The details of this story already reveal Dustin to be a loving son. More amazing is that this son cooks for his mother every single morning, and offers her gratitude. Terminal bladder cancer may have marked a certain end for Gloria, but even with the days left in her life, her son Dustin reveals a love that is very much reminiscent of Jesus. Devoted. Kind. Unending. May this story encourage us to also share love with those in our lives, terminally ill or not. Jesus has encouraged us to love, to forgive, and to share. So what’s stopping us from listening to Jesus today. “And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” (Luke 6:29-31)

Olympic Figure Skater Michelle Kwan Skates To 'Rise Up' From Andra Day

Check out this beautiful ice skating routine by Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan to the song ‘Rise Up’ by Andra Day. “You're broken down and tired of living life on a merry go round, and you can't find the fighter But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out, and move mountains, we gonna walk it out And move mountains, and I'll rise up, I'll rise like the day, I'll rise up, I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up and I'll do it a thousand times again, and I'll rise up, high like the waves I'll rise up in spite of the ache, I'll rise up, and I'll do it a thousand times again” This video was shot in December 2018 in Santa Monica, but it is just as uplifting and encouraging today as it was back then. The camera is following Michelle Kwan all around the ice as she is doing so many impressive moves. She looks so free as she skates around the ice with a big smile on her face. And the large crowd watching her claps and cheers throughout her performance. At the end of her ice skating routine, Michelle skates around the rink to thank her fans and gives them all high fives. “For me there has never been or will be anyone like Michelle Kwan on the ice,” comments on person on YouTube after watching the video. “The grace and fluidity is so beautiful, it never fails to bring tears to my eyes.” “Michelle Kwan is one of the best skaters ever. She was the one I watched as a kid,” writes another person online. “Seeing her go to the Olympics and win medals was phenomenal. Her skating is still so beautiful!” What a wonderful ice skating routine by Michelle Kwan, and we hope that you enjoyed watching this video today!

Amazon Delivery Driver Dances For Doorbell Camera

This Amazon delivery driver dancing for the doorbell camera really knows how to get down. But before the feet start stomping, the DJ has to cue the music. That’s exactly what happens in this video, minus the DJ. The music begins to play as we see an Amazon delivery truck parked in someone’s driveway. At the start, the Amazon employee is unseen as he is on the inside of the truck grabbing the resident’s package. When he appears inside the van and prepares to step down to the pavement, it’s as though we are getting ready for his performance. And not just any performance either. No, this performance is for those who can appreciate a good dance performance. He walks down the pathway leading to the porch. With the music playing, the path feels more like a runaway. He slows down his pacing as he starts doing the wave with his arms. He appears to be pretty content and may even be aware that he’s on camera. The young man slowly dances his way toward the door, seemingly glancing at the camera from time to time. Once he reaches the porch, the dancing doesn't stop either. Quite the opposite. The man puts the package down and goes into more energetic movement, doing what’s called the Shoot and other dances. He really does get busy on the runway as he starts back to the van. The man turns, hops, jumps, and does a great deal of bouncing. What makes the video even funnier, is that the man dances all the way back to the van and doesn’t stop. He gets inside of the vehicle and keeps the movement going. However hilarious the man is, he’s still quite talented. Not everyone can do what he’s doing and surely he’s no stranger to dance. And by the looks of him in this video, he is likely no stranger to an audience either. How cool is it that this man is enjoying his job so much? He’s found a way to mix exercise and his work, and he may even be doing this purposefully to bring a little joy to folks who are spending most of their time at home these days! Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." The Good News: No matter what you do, you are using the gifts that the Lord gave you. Colossians 3:23-24

Water-Loving Cat Acts Like One Of His Dog Brothers

Marlin, the water-loving cat, acts just like one of his dog brothers, and by his owner’s account, he’s pretty good. Marlin is a part of a decently-sized family, a number of brother dogs, owner Caroline Jarvis, and her partner. Marlin’s furry companions are a mix of different breeds and different sizes. Marlin himself is the smallest of the bunch. “When we first got Marlin he was like 5-weeks old. He just joined the pack. He really just thought he was a dog. He would do anything they did,” Caroline shared. “He watched them. He would drink out of the same water bowl and when we went to the beach he just was like, ‘They’re walking down the beach. I’m gonna walk down the beach.’ And the dogs would run in the water and touch the ocean and play around. So he would jump in the ocean and walk in there. It’s just what he thought he was supposed to do.” Marlin’s ability to blend into his dog family has been aided in large part by his curiosity and desire for companionship. He follows the other pets around and mimics their behavior. He’s definitely not on the outside, but very much an insider. Caroline remarked that after two days of having Marlin, he expressed curiosity with water. “We were like, ‘What the heck? This cat loves water,’” she commented. At her home, Caroline has steps leading down to a creek. Her pups are always eager to jump and play in the water, but Marlin’s curiosity led him to explore these steps one day. Then in he went, falling into the water. “We were like, ‘Oh my gosh!’” Though surprised, they didn't rush to rescue the kitten because as they saw, he didn’t need rescuing. “And we just let him swim,” she added. And swim Marlin did. Initially, he was swimming away from them, but after calling his name, Marlin easily turned back and swam to Caroline. The family takes boat trips at times, and Marlin stands just above the water, bold and unafraid along with his larger dog brothers. Caroline even drops Marlin off with her parents along with the dogs sometimes. And guess how Marlin enters the house--through the dog door, of course! Marlin may look very different, but he has definitely found a home among canines. And he’s definitely found a home in his human mother Caroline.

Men Of 2CELLOS Perform 'Livin' On A Prayer'

Rock goes classical when Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ gets a whole new sound from the men of 2CELLOS. 2CELLOS is a Croatian cellist pair made up of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. These two have performed all over the world with their incredible blend of original and cover songs. They formed in 2011 and became a household name when their YouTube covers started to go viral. Both men are classically trained but they also incorporate rock elements into their numbers. In 2015, 2CELLOS released a cover of ‘Thunderstruck’ on their album, ‘Celloverse.’ Once the music video was released, it immediately went viral. In fact, the YouTube video has over 140 millions now. Today, they are back with another incredible cover of Bon Jovi’s 1986 hit ‘Livin’ On A Prayer.’ It was an instant hit for the group and continues to stand the test of time as one of the greatest songs ever. So, it’s no surprise that 2CELLOS would choose this rock anthem for the next classical makeover. And as they hit that iconic chorus, it’s hard not to belt out the lyrics. “Woah, we're half way there Woah, livin' on a prayer Take my hand, we'll make it I swear Woah, livin' on a prayer” From the very start, I knew that this was going to be another viral hit for the duo. The string cellos mixed with the upbeat melody truly makes this performance one that you don’t want to miss. What song do you think these guys will choose next time?

Teen Sings Moving Rendition Of 'Can't Help Falling In Love'

Talented artist Madilyn Paige shares a message of love with this beautiful performance of Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love.’ I think we can all agree that it doesn’t get much better than hearing an Elvis classic and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ is one of the best. This hit song was originally recorded in 1961 for Elvis’ hit film ‘Blue Hawaii.’ It skyrocketed to the top of the charts and spurred countless covers from artists all around the world. “Wise men say only fools rush in But I can't help falling in love with you Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you” Today, Madilyn Paige is putting her own spin on this Elvis tune during a stunning live performance. Just listen as she belts out these words that we all know and love. “Like a river flows, surely to the sea Darling, so it goes, some things are meant to be Take my hand, take my whole life too Oh, for I can't help falling in love with you” On YouTube, Madilyn shared that she originally recorded this song during a 2020 live stream event. As the coronavirus spread across the world, it forced many people to remain in their homes. This online concert was a way of reaching others in time void of in-person concerts. “It meant so much to me to perform again and connect with some of the people that were isolated from friends and family. I chose to sing one of my favorite songs: Can’t Help Falling in Love. I felt that what the world needed more than ever, was love and connection.”
