Christian singer Colton Dixon had a harrowing experience with his wife, Annie when their daughter was born without a pulse. The couple shared their miracle story because Annie says, “In the moments when thoughts of worry tried to creep in one word kept coming up: VICTORY. The couple had been married over three years when they discovered they were pregnant. But God not only blessed the couple with the gift of becoming parents, he doubled it! They were pregnant with twin girls. Imagine all the pink little dresses and shoes! “...we found out we were pregnant with twins. I felt a little sick to my stomach. Annie had cry laughter going on,” Colton said. The pregnancy was smooth sailing for the first nine months. It wasn’t until Annie was actually in labor when they realized something was wrong. Now some people don’t realize that even with all of today’s medical advances, the birthing experience can still be dangerous and potentially deadly for both mom and the baby. Many simply reflect on birth as a beautiful, life-changing experience, which it certainly is. But for Annie, things weren’t progressing like they should have. She had been laboring for more than 30 hours when her medical team switched gears to do a C section. The babies were delivered thirty seconds apart and that’s when this joyous experience became a life or death situation. Baby Ava Dior wasn’t breathing. Colton said, “I remember one of the nurses asking another nurse if there was a pulse and the nurse shook her head. That’s when I went over to Annie and we watched as the doctor and nurses resuscitated our daughter back to life.” “I leaned into that word [Victory] and it gave me peace. Praise God for a skilled team of medical professionals, God’s healing power, and His supernatural peace. There’s no way I should have had peace but the only way I can explain it is knowing it had to be God. I continuously held onto that word: Victory,” she said. Baby Ava Dior had actually suffered some trauma to her head during the delivery. She had been caught in the birth canal for a couple of hours before the c-section. But God was watching over this couple and this precious baby. After three weeks Ava Dior was able to be reunited with her sister Athens and go home! God certainly gave this couple victory over death. What a beautiful word and amazing God. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." 1 John 5:4

Spoken word artist Brandon Leake shared emotional letters he wrote to his father on AGT Semi-finals. Brandon Leake, a contestant on the hit show America’s Got Talent, is using his talent of spoken word poetry to express the emotional toll his father’s absence had on Brandon’s life. His performance starts off with a light-hearted letter to his dad from perky little 4-year-old Brandon. “Hey, Dad! My fifth birthday is coming up, and this year I think I’m getting an ice cream cake!” He offers to save his dad a slice. He then goes on to talk about his tenth Birthday, you can kind of see a pattern now of Brandon’s letters falling on his own birthday. He wrote, “When I woke up this morning, the first thing Mom said was, “Dang you look just like your daddy.” Maybe that is why my reflection is so unfamiliar sometimes. Anyways I really hope you can make it to the party this year. I miss you a lot.” As the years progress, he has dropped the familiar term of ‘Daddy’ and only refers to his father as Tyrone. When Brandon turned 16, he was obviously more emotional and angry. Resentment towards his father pours out of him as he shares embarrassment at covering up to his friends for Tyrone’s absence. At the end of this letter Brandon wrote, “This is my last letter to you, Tyrone. Goodbye.” Years passed, and he finally wrote his dad another letter. “Dear Tyrone, For twenty five years I cried into pillow sheets, wondering why you left me.” In one final, powerful letter, Brandon realized that the anger he was harboring was only hurting himself--that when you have this anger and resentment inside of you, you will never truly be free. He forgave his father for never being there for him. This was a beautiful, heart wrenching piece, and you could feel his emotion through his words. This story will definitely hit home for many who can relate to Brandon’s pain. It underlines the importance that forgiveness has on the person extending it. Even though Tyrone never apologized or asked for forgiveness, Brandon realized that he needed to forgive him to release himself from the negativity. And while Brandon’s earthly father wasn’t there for him, we all know that he has a heavenly Father who loves him very much.

In this adorable video, a family encountered a stray kitten that decided to come home with them. But the real surprise came when their loving dog adopted the kitten as her own baby! When they first saw the stray kitten on the street, the family instructed their German Shepherd, Toast, to be gentle. The tiny kitten latched on to this act of kindness from the large pup and decided to follow the family and walked right into their home! Toast immediately started mothering the poor kitten. When the kitten began exploring, Toast helped her go up stairs, get on furniture and even protected the baby from danger. When the kitten wandered too close to the family pool for Toast’s liking, the protective mama lifted the cat up by the nap of her neck and gently brought her to safety back where the family was sitting. The very heartwarming footage goes on to show more of how lovingly Toast took care of the kitten. When Toast was fed, the hungry kitten didn’t just step in to eat some of the food--she actually climbed right into the bowl and began hungrily gobbling up all the food! But Toast seemed to sense that the kitten needed the food more than she did. The hungry pup waited patiently in the background for her turn to eat. With everything the pair do together you can tell the care and patience that Toast has. It was discovered that the kitten slept in between Toast’s legs to keep warm as well. “I saw the cat grabbing Toast, and I was like that's the movement of breastfeeding.” The kitten began to try to breastfeed off of Toast. According to Toast’s doctor it was normal and was what was known as a stress pregnancy. Toast carries the kitten, now called Lucie, around by the tuft on the nap of her neck, and it's obvious that Toast is in her element as the mama who keeps her baby safe. The relationship between Toast and Lucie will continue to grow, and one day the kitten will grow into a wonderful cat all thanks to the unique love from a mama dog that raised her.

A woman plays the violin in a boat and everyone is amazed when whales gather around to listen. Music is such a huge blessing in so many people’s lives. It has an impact to change moods and uplift the spirit. Music doesn’t just have this impact on people either. It also greatly affects animals. There have been several videos posted on social media where animals react to certain songs in a cute way, but few are as moving as this one! In this classic video that went viral on Youtube, there is a woman named Maesyn on a boat with her violin. The boat is on the Pacific Ocean offshore of Mauii. Several passengers had boarded the boat for an adventure outing to find and view whales. Little did the passengers know, they were about to witness an incredible sight. The violinist on board played so beautifully that the whales became engaged in the music and began to draw closer to the boat. Maesyn is a professional violinist who lives in LA, and she decided to share her talents online with this beautiful interaction between herself and the whales. As Maesyn continued to play, you can see whales start to surface and are attracted toward the boat. As the video continues you can see the whales they came right up to the boat and floated there, on the water’s surface, so that they could hang out and listen to the music. People on the boat started to film the interesting phenomenon to be able to share it and document, yet again, another case of just how much animals love music. The video ended up going viral with over a million views, twenty thousand likes, and two thousand comments. It isn’t known what drew the whales to the surface, whether it was the rhythm of the song, or the frequency. But the whales enjoyed the song so much that they listened and tried to interact with the violinist, Maesyn. Regardless of what drew the animals in, everyone from that day will never forget the incredible sight.

An emotional semi-final performance on Britain’s Got Talent moved the audience to tears. A dog puppet named Miracle, a little magic, and the stirring words from Lauren Daigle’s ‘Rescue’ combined for a moving performance you won’t want to miss. Amanda Leask & Miracle is a unique puppet magic act with a twist. They participated in Series 14 of Britain's Got Talent and made it through to the semi-finals. Miracle is a rescue dog who Amanda brought home from Thailand in 2014, and they live in Scotland. Miracle was a victim of the dog meat trade and was close to death when rescued. However, the dog found a home and so much more with Amanda. She told the judges how Miracle is giving so much back to her son who has autism and cerebral palsy. But that’s not what moved the judges to tears. In her semi final performance, Amanda used magic tricks and a puppet dog to emotionally tell the moving story of how she met Miracle. The performance was set to ‘Rescue,’ by Lauren Daigle. The words of Lauren’s song whisper over the crowd setting the stage for how terrified, lost, and broken Miracle was as Amanda worked hard to earn her trust. I will send out an army to find you In the middle of the darkest night It's true, I will rescue you The performance garnered shocked gasps from the audience when photos of a beaten, matted dog were displayed on the screen. The audience and judges were visibly moved to tears as Amanda showed how she eventually gained Miracle’s trust. The end of the performance earned a standing ovation as a big white sheet dropped from the ceiling to hide the Miracle puppet only to reveal a wonderful surprise. Judges of the show, David remarked 'you told the story very beautifully', with Alesha adding 'we’ve never had anything like this on the show before.’ Amanda and Miracle will melt your hearts in this tearful theatrical performance. Grab a tissue and prepare for it to touch your heart! “Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.” Isaiah 1:17

After an angry dad storms off, hidden cameras capture complete strangers helping a teen girl play ball. That video of the act of kindness from strangers has gone viral. Girls can do anything boys can do, right? In fact, no one believes in girl power more than the Lord! But what if you witnessed an earthly father telling his daughter that playing ball is a man’s sport and she should be doing girly things? Would you say something to this dad? Hidden cameras caught a family helping a teen girl learn how to play ball after her dad storms off for the hidden camera TV show, ‘What Would You Do?’ The show, hosted by John Quiñones, puts strangers in difficult circumstances and records how they react. This scenario played out at a batting cage where a young teenage daughter is asking her dad why she can’t play softball. She begs him to help her learn how to hit the ball when the father says she should be doing girly things like dance. Several bystanders are shocked by his words and even more shocked when he walks away from her daughter, leaving her there to crumble under the weight of his words. Some strangers are compelled to act on God’s compassion and grace to tell the young teenage girl she can do anything she sets her mind to. At one point in the show, the cameras catch a group of young teen boys telling the father that his daughter can do anything she wants. It’s heartwarming to know strangers will step up and defend the weak against bullies in difficult circumstances. This is definitely a hotly debated topic and it’s really interesting to see it play out on screen. What would you do if you saw a father belittle his daughter in public? Would you step in to encourage her or would you help the father try to see it from a different perspective? "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." Psalm 139:14

A police officer stopped his car to help elderly women cross the street, and not surprisingly, the video went viral! Sometimes one moment can just make your day. Especially if it’s a moment of kindness. An anonymous viewer saw a police officer stop his car and get out. The viewer must’ve known something was going on and decided to record a video. What happened next was unexpected. The video reveals two elderly women stuck in the middle of an intersection of two very busy streets. Frail, fragile, and slow, these ladies merely wanted to reach the other side of the street. Drivers whizzed by without so much as a glance at the two ladies standing in the middle. What happened next was the sweetest thing to be caught on camera. The two elderly women wanted to cross the road to get a closer look of the bay on such a gorgeous day. That’s when an anonymous police officer stepped in. The officer gently held the arm of one of the ladies and walked slowly with her across the road as she held onto her friend. It took a few minutes to reach the other side of the road. The view must have touched everyone’s hearts that were watching. It was such a sweet moment of kindness and compassion. Once the ladies had arrived safely on the other side, viewers within view erupted with cheers of gratitude. It’s nice to know there are kind human beings out there who have a heart to serve and protect others. Let’s give this officer a cheer and applaud him for his efforts! We view policemen as the protectors of our community. We tend to think they are all business, which is what we want in our time of need should something go wrong. But what tends to get lost behind the badge are their hearts and why they committed to serve in the first place. Besides the countless acts of bravery, it’s the numerous small acts of kindness they commit everyday that create community and brotherly love. It’s moments like this that are outward reflections of why they protect and serve, just like this officer. It certainly gives a whole new meaning to serving each other with brotherly love. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 12:10
