What a sweet video of parents reacting to their son receiving great news about his bar exam results!
The recent law school grad was waiting for his bar exam score for weeks, and when the time came for him to see how he did, he was anxious about seeing the results.
“My hand is shaking,” says the student. You can see how nervous he is as he is taking deep breaths and placing his hand over his beating heart.
Looking for their support, the student waited until his parents came home before opening up the email to see his results.
“Oh Jesus, help me.” His mother says as she is just as nervous as her son to see the outcome.
As the son is reading the email, he shouts with joy! “Congratulations on passing the bar exam!”
Neither him or his parents can contain their excitement! They are all enthusiastically shouting, clapping, and jumping up and down at the great news.
His mother keeps shouting, “Yes! Yes! Yes! Lord Jesus!”
They go back to the screen to read the congratulatory message again. ““Oh! Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus!”
Seeing his mother thanking God with shouts of praise reminds me of Psalm 35:27. “But those who want the best for me, let them have the last word - a glad shout! - and say, over and over and over, ‘God is great - everything works together for good for his servant.’"
What a sweet image to see the student weeping happy tears, and his mother thanking God while hugging her son.
God gives such good gifts. He deserves all of our praise and thanksgiving for all the blessings that he gives us. And seeing this mom praising the Lord for the opportunity that was given to her son with such a grateful heart is so sweet and encouraging!
In his most recent ‘I Am Second’ video, country singer Josh Turner shares his testimony and opens us about some of the trials that he has faced while chasing his dream.
“It’s been a wild ride,” says Josh. “It hasn’t been just positive stuff. There’s been some really tough, challenging things that I’ve been through.”
Josh then goes on to list all of the things that he’s had to endure, just physically, over the years.
“Everything from spinal stenosis, to my vocal injury back in 1996, I’ve broken my jaw, I’ve chipped numerous teeth, I’ve gashed my chin open, I’ve had two broken noses, I got hit in the head with a brick, I’ve had two concussions…just recently, I’ve had sinus surgery.”
The list goes on and on for him. But Josh says that the things in life that are worth it, whether it be your job, your marriage, or your children, are worth fighting for. He says that he commits these things to prayer on a daily basis. The country singer knows that he wants his faith to have a firm foundation in every dream or goal that he goes after.
And Josh knows that without Jesus, nothing in this world can bring you true satisfaction.
“The success that we have in our minds, once you actually achieve it, if you ever do achieve it, a lot of times it just leaves you flat,” he explains. “It leaves you empty. It doesn’t fill that void that you are trying to fill. The only way that you can fill that void is with Jesus, and I’ve learned that first hand.”
Josh Turner later explains how he can relate to the two disciples that Jesus called out to on the Sea of Galilee. He called them to throw down their nets and follow him. Jesus wanted to make them fishers of men. He called them into something bigger and better.
The country star says that God did the same thing for him. He called him away from his comfort zone, away from his hometown, and had a dream for him to go after in Nashville, TN.
“God knew what potential I had. He knew that He had given me a talent and I was supposed to use it. And I chose to do that.”
And now Josh is using his gift to share his faith with others.
“Not only have I made country music, but I’ve said from the day I got my record deal, that this is not just about me. I want to be able to have a platform to where I can make a positive impact in people’s lives.”
Josh knows that God is good, and he wants to let the people that listen to his music know that as well. What a great reminder that we can all use the gifts that we’ve been given to the glory to God!
The true meaning of Easter is not eggs or bunnies, its the death and resurrection of Jesus. Throughout the years the meaning has been watered down and pushed to the back of people's minds. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having fun on Easter. But we need to remember what we are really celebrating. Not to let the importance of the day go by without expressing our true gratefulness for what he has done.

Broadway performers visit Good Morning America for a medley of classic Disney songs.
In honor of 25 years of Disney on Broadway, talented singers and dancers belted out some of our all-time favorites. From Beauty And The Beast to Frozen, this incredible medley begs you to sing along.

Whenever I hear classics like this, I am always transported back in time to my childhood and it puts the biggest smile on my face. I can remember watching these movies in theaters and singing along to every single song.
Films such as The Little Mermaid and The Lion King are timeless Walt Disney films that made up many of the memories of our youth. And as these stars beautifully belted out the lyrics, everything floods right back.

Country legend Alan Jackson serenades fellow superstar Loretta Lynn at her 87th birthday party.
Loretta Lynn has been called the queen of country music. Her iconic songs have truly stood the test of time. In fact, Loretta has written every single song that she ever recorded.
Writing was actually more important to her than singing and the fans responded in waves. She has been called a ‘trailblazer’ and a ‘powerful voice for women.’
Her unique style and heartfelt lyrics paved the way for other female voices. So, it’s no wonder that superstars from all areas of entertainment came out to celebrate her birthday. One of those performers is country great Alan Jackson.
Loretta specifically requested that Alan perform at her birthday and asked that he sing his hit song ‘Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning).’
This song was released after the September 11th attack and it immediately resonated with hearts all over the nation. Even today, these lyrics hold so much weight and importance in the USA.

You can see Loretta sitting front row during the entire performance. And afterwards, the whole theater stood for a rousing standing ovation. What an incredible birthday celebration.
American Idol contestant Riley Thompson sings an upbeat rendition of the Alan Jackson song, ‘It Must Be Love.’
This 16-year-old country singer impressed the judges right from the start. Her first audition was an original song titled ‘Oh Daddy’ and it won her a ticket straight to Hollywood.
This teen showed maturity and poise throughout the entire process. Now, Riley is fighting for her spot in the Top 10 of the competition. After learning that viewers did not vote her through, Riley was given the chance to sing for the judges and live audience.
At the end of all the second-chance performances, the judges will be able to save one contestant from elimination. Even though her confidence was slightly rattled, Riley walked out on stage and sung her heart out to the iconic Alan Jackson song, ‘It Must Be Love.’

Riley completely engaged the crowd with her unique country voice and the judges were thrilled with her song selection. After the performance, Luke Bryan said, “I love the song choice. It embodies what you've given us throughout this competition.”
Even though Riley ultimately did not continue on to the next round, she was given many words of hope and praise for the judges.
At just 16 years old, Riley has accomplished things that many only dream of. I definitely think this talented teen has a long career in entertainment ahead of her.
Mourners on the street sing a beautiful rendition of ‘Ave Maria’ in front of the Notre Dame cathedral.
Hearts around the world broke on Monday, April 15th when the famed Notre Dame cathedral in France caught fire. The building was undergoing a renovation when a blaze spread to the widely famous dome of the cathedral.
Shortly after, news spread all over the globe. The fire lasted well into the evening, burning for over 12 hours before firefighters gained control. During this time, people started to gather in front of Notre Dame to mourn the ancient structure.
That’s when the most incredible impromptu serenade began. ‘Ave Maria’ is a widely popular song from famed composer Franz Schubert. It was originally composed in 1825, but over the years it has evolved into one of the most well known classical pieces.
Artists from all over the world and many different genres have performed this special tune and it has easily become one of Schubert’s most famous compositions.

The hauntingly beautiful words are the perfect compliment to the feelings associated with this devastating fire. There are so many fond memories surrounding the Notre Dame cathedral and it’s deeply saddening to see parts of it in flames.
While a rebuilding will occur, the entire process could take decades. Prayers are with the people of France and anyone with a special memory of this iconic monument.
