Receiving All God Has For Us With 10th Avenue North's Mike Donehey

When life feels challenging, or our dreams or something we love feels threatened, our anxiety often tempts us to cling all the more tightly to whatever we fear losing. But after courageously stepping back from music for four years, Mike Donehey, lead singer for 10th Avenue North, discovered the difference between clinging, figuratively, to sifting sand and receiving all God has with open hands. Closed fists might allay our worries temporarily, but they also tend to block us from God's best.

Officer Adopts Kitten After Rescuing It From Busy Street

A police officer adopted a kitten after rescuing it from the middle of a busy street.

Law enforcement officers regularly go above and beyond the call of duty. They are usually the first people to arrive on the scene whenever disaster or tragedy strikes, already doing something that most people do not. But they also often risk their lives and safety for others, doing much more than is required of them in their official, professional capacity.

Those men and women are often accurately described as heroes. They will do more and offer their assistance in unexpected ways. As one cute, tear-jerking video on social media shows, kindness and going beyond the call of duty does not stop at humans. One officer helped a sweet, innocent little kitten.

While on duty, Officer Brennen Flanigan saw something unusual in the middle of the road. Instead of simply driving by, he pulled his vehicle over and stopped traffic, discovering that the thing in the middle of the street was a kitten. The video shows the officer pick up and save the kitten from the road.

But that is not where this story ends.

Officer Flanigan sought medical assistance for the feline and took her to the vet. He learned that the cat did have a slight eye infection but was otherwise healthy. After learning that the tiny kitten was not microchipped, the officer adopted the kitten and took her home.

The officer mentioned what he hopes to accomplish and show by adopting the sweet, precious kitten he found in the street.

“What I hope the public takes away from this is, is no matter how small of an act you complete, it can really have a big impact, and that’s what I hope to provide for this little kitten right here,” the officer said.

What a beautiful act of kindness and love!

Simon Cowell Overcome with Emotion After Breathtaking Drone Show on AGT

Who knew drones could leave you speechless? Simone Cowell was overcome with emotion after Sky Elements' breathtaking drone show performance on America’s Got Talent. The atmosphere was electric during the Season 19 semifinals, which aired on one of America’s most somber days, 9/11. Among the many semifinalists, Sky Elements, a drone show group, created an emotional performance that left the audience in tears and the judges speechless.

Sky Elements created a performance to the song ‘Butterfly’ by Lily Meola. The haunting words filled the air as over 1,200 drones flickered to life resembling a field of stars in the night sky.

‘I never got the chance to say

I know your wings are getting heavy

You can let go when you’re ready

to fly, fly’

The drones painted a picture of a father and daughter walking together beneath a try only for the child to drift away. In that fleeting moment, it filled the performance with a deep sense of loss and love. The drones then formed a single flower.

The drones then formed a single flower before spreading out in the night sky with butterflies. The finale was a phoenix with fiery wings. What a beautiful performance that was dedicated to the loss of Briely Rose, the child of Preston of the Sky Elements group.

Without even a word, the performance struck a chord with the audience and judges, leaving most in tears. Howie Mandel remarked, "You just broke us," and Heidi Klum called it "a beautiful tribute to your daughter."

Simon Cowell however, couldn’t utter a word. He pushed his glasses back up on his face as he tried to wipe away tears as he said, “That was… ah, that was… oh gosh,” before he pointed to Howie to take over as Simon tried to collect himself over the emotional performance. Known for his sharp words, Simon had none. In a rare and touching moment, Simon’s thoughts and feelings mirrored the audience.

We hope this performance touched your heart as it did ours.

Four Siblings Born on the Same Day Across Different Years

In the Lammert family, August 25th is not just another day on the calendar; it’s a family celebration, as all four siblings were born on the same day across different years. This special day marks the birthday of Sophia, 9, Giuliana, 6, Mia, 3, and baby Valentina, who recently joined the family just weeks ago. What makes this birthday even more extraordinary is that these sisters share the same birthday, each born exactly three years apart.

Kirstin said baby Valentina was supposed to be born on September 25th but she decided to join the family early. Kirstin said she and her husband Nick couldn’t stop laughing when they realized baby number four was going to be born on the same day as the rest of their daughters.

She said, "Because at that moment, we were really mostly concerned about the health of the baby and myself, and I wouldn't say we didn't realize the date, but the bigger focus was about making sure she was okay and that it wasn't putting enough stress on the baby, and that I would be okay. She added, "And then when it kept getting closer to midnight, we then thought it was funny."

So, what are the odds of having the girls share the same birthday? They’re absolutely astronomical. Only God could have orchestrated something so special and unique for this family of six. The odds of the girls all being born on the same day are one in 50 billion.

Kristin said, “At this point, I’m joking that my body only knows how to birth on August 25th.” She added, “It’s our family holiday.”

That also means Sophia, the oldest, has had three incredible birthdays with three amazing gifts: her little sisters. As the sisters gather to celebrate, the Lammert household will no doubt transform into a wonderland of pretty pink balloons, decorations, flowers, and treats that are perfect for a girl at any age.

In the meantime, the Lammert family is in pink baby bliss, celebrating not only their birthdays but also the addition of their newest sister. What a precious gift!

Baby Girl Holds On Just Long Enough for Brother and Mother to Live

In the midst of great loss, there are sometimes moments of hope that transform lives forever. A baby girl holds on long enough for her brother and mother to live. When Nash and Jayme Kuehl wanted to start a family, they had no idea of the heartache, challenges, and loss they would face. Jayme became pregnant with twins, but her pregnancy was filled with challenges. She was told to prepare for a miscarriage and that her babies wouldn’t make it. She was then hospitalized and laid in bed for three months while her medical team did everything in their power to keep the twins alive and healthy in order to reach full term.

“We know God is the God of miracles. I laid in bed for three months. Every time I would stand up, I would leak amniotic fluid,” Jayme recalled

Her medical team tried to stop Jamie’s body from going into labor, but they couldn’t stop it and took Jayme in for a C-section. Sadly, their daughter Faith passed away, but Nash made it. The doctors were relieved that Jayme made it because they were sure they were going to lose her, too.

“He said, ‘Your daughter is a hero. She lived long enough to give her brother a chance at life. But died soon enough to save you,’” she said. The doctors didn’t realize until it was too late that Jayme had been bleeding internally behind the babies. But the challenges didn’t stop there. Nash was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism and spent a lot of time in the NICU before he could come home.

Years later, Nate and Jayme dreamed of completing their family but faced the heartache of five miscarriages before welcoming their daughter, Blair.

From the start, Blair was a force to be reckoned with, determined to chase her dreams. Often, she sacrificed her aspirations for the sake of her brother, Nash, because of his special needs. Yet, with her father’s support, she pursued her dream of owning a horse, even though competing seemed out of reach for their family.

Tragedy struck again when Jayme’s father fell ill and passed away. Before his death, he urged Jayme to use her inheritance to buy a horse trailer with special accommodations for Nash. This promise led them to Hart Trailers, where a team designed a travel trailer and camper to accommodate Nash and help Blair pursue her passions. What made this journey even more meaningful was that Amberley Snyder, a paraplegic barrel racer, prays over each trailer before it’s sold. You won’t believe the incredible detail and thoughtfulness that was put into the design.

This heartwarming story beautifully illustrates hope, faith, and community. It reminds us that God weaves all things together for our good, even in the face of profound loss. With faith, all dreams—even the most ambitious—can become possible.

Heroic Officers Save Choking Baby in Dramatic Rescue Captured on Video

When time is of the essence, two heroic officers step up to save a choking baby in this dramatic rescue captured on video. The two officers from the Highstown Police Department are being hailed as heroes. Officer Officers Daniel Abbatemarco and Kenneth Larson responded to a distress call. They arrived on the scene on the side of the road to find a frantic family and a baby in grave danger.

The baby had begun to choke while she was in her car seat. Upon arriving, the officers quickly assessed the situation and immediately recognized the severity of the infant's condition. Without missing a second, Officers Abbatemarco and Larson began performing the infant Heimlich maneuver, a critical technique designed to clear the airway of choking victims. The parents were frantic and begging the officers to save the baby’s life.

Throughout the tense moments, the officers remained calm and collected, reassuring the distressed family, which was incredible to watch. Once they cleared the baby’s airway, they coaxed the baby girl to cry.

“Let’s let out a cry, sweetheart,” one of the officers said as the other held the little girl in his arms. Once she was able to breathe, she let out a wail from the terrifying ordeal. Soon after, the paramedics arrived and they praised the officers for knowing exactly what to do. This story would have been tragic if the officers did not know how to do the infant Heimlich maneuver. They only had precious seconds to save the little girl’s life.

The video was posted online and gained thousands of views and hundreds of comments of praise. One viewer put herself in the parent's shoes. She commented, “I can only imagine how the parents feel at the moment. A parent's nightmare. This is why people need CPR classes.” Another person commented, “Not all heroes wear capes;” we couldn't agree more.  Another viewer said she loved seeing the softer side of the police department. She added, “Absolutely in love with this video! I love seeing the softer side of officers and seeing the community come together to support this family️ I'm just tickled pink that your munchkin made it outta the dark. The first cry sent goosebumps from head to toe.”

What a blessed sound that first cry was. We are so thankful for everyday heroes like these officers. We hope this video of their courage brightened your day.

Retiring Mailman Receives Heartfelt Send-Off From Community After Years of Service

A retiring mailman received a heartfelt send-off from the community members on his route after more than 30 years on the job.

Retiring can be a bittersweet moment. Throughout their working lives, most people save and put away money, hoping that they will one day be able to retire. Retirement is the dream for most people. Who wants to work their whole life? There’s so much to do and see in this world. Why spend all that time working if retirement is a possibility?

When that last day of work finally arrives, it can hit like a brick wall. When that day comes, most people will likely feel many different emotions. Yes, they are pleased to be able to stop working, but there is a part of them that may not necessarily miss the job but will miss the people they worked with and for. That is what life is about anyway: people and those relationships.

A sweet, tear-jerking video on social media captured a longtime mailman’s last day of work after 31 years. In the clip, the gentleman mentions that he has worked on the same route for 24 and a half years.

Over the more than two decades he has been delivering mail on that specific route, those people have become like family to him. He cared for them, worried about them and celebrated with them. He added that he and the people he delivered mail to grew up together.

“You’re walking the same route every day, 12.2 miles,” he said. “And all of a sudden, a sign shows up in the yard: ‘Congratulations, we had a boy.’ And then next thing you know, ‘Congratulations, I just graduated from high school.’ Then it’s ‘Congratulations, I just graduated from college.’ So, those whole things, when you watch start to finish, unforgettable.”

On his last work day, community members did not forget about him either. Everyone came out to say goodbye and wish him a happy retirement. Everywhere he went, people greeted him and thanked him for his service and for being more than just someone who delivered the mail.

“This was it. This was the best send-off that could be. What a way to walk off,” he said.

Lead Singer of 3 Doors Down Speaks of Christ’s Love During Powerful Concert Moment

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the rock group 3 Doors Down, spoke of Christ’s love during one of the band’s concerts, making for a powerful moment.

Many people today are broken and lost, feeling alone and unloved. They erroneously believe, for one reason or another, that no one cares or loves them and that their lives mean nothing. They believe there is no hope and see no end to their struggle and pain.

People are in desperate need of Christ’s love, healing and forgiveness. But how can they accept or receive something they have never heard of? That’s why it’s so crucial for Christians to share the message of Christ’s love. That was exactly what the lead singer of 3 Doors Down did during one of the band’s concert stops.

A clip posted on YouTube captures Brad, the singer of songs like “Kryptonite” and “Here Without You,” addressing a crowd of thousands. Brad admits that he typically doesn’t speak much during concerts but that “something was put on my heart.” He informs concertgoers that they matter, and even when they feel alone and broken, Jesus Christ loves them.

Brad says that the world constantly tells people they don’t deserve love. He goes on to add that people are repeatedly told that they are not good enough in this or that way, that they don’t measure up, and that they fail to miss the mark.

“They’re driven down our throats every single day, that we’ll never be good enough, and that nobody really, really loves us,” he said. “But my friends, I just want to take a second to tell you that’s an absolute lie. You are loved. You are loved, and you are enough, and you will win. Not only can you win, but you will win. And you’ll always be enough for one reason, and that’s because Jesus Christ loves you.”

Later in the clip, Brad states that Christ's love for us remains even in our many stumbles, falls and failures.

Before the end of the clip, Brad asks if the crowd would do him a favor and repeat some words after him.

“I am the one that Jesus loves,” Brad says.

What a powerful and moving moment of someone using their platform and influence to share the love of Christ with thousands.
