A grandfather immediately became emotional the moment he saw his granddaughter in her wedding dress.

Weddings are typically emotional events. It’s a beautiful ceremony when a man and woman stand before God and their family and friends and become husband and wife. It marks the beginning of their life together. That is enough to cause most people to start bawling like a baby.

But weddings are also special because all the memories leading up to that moment come flooding back. It’s an opportunity for moms, dads and siblings to reflect and think back on their lives and how things will never be the same in the future. It’s a “where did all the time go” situation.

As a sweet video posted on YouTube shows, grandparents also feel this way at weddings. The clip captures a “first-look” moment before a young woman’s wedding involving her grandparents. The second the grandfather sees his granddaughter in her wedding dress, he becomes a puddle of tears.

The bride walks over to her grandfather, who is so overwhelmed by the moment that he can barely speak. The two share a warm and loving embrace. The clip also features an interview with the grandfather about his thoughts and feelings at that particular moment.

“All these years that she was growing up flashed before my eyes,” he said. “And I’m looking at her, she was born – our first grandchild – thinking she’s the most beautiful baby we’ve ever saw. And then I turn around and I look, this woman is getting married. And she’s there with a wedding dress, and my mind is going 100,000 miles an hour.”

The video includes photos of the grandfather and his granddaughter as children. He mentions how one of her favorite things to do was to dress him up.

Even discussing seeing his granddaughter in her wedding dress is almost too much for him. He chokes up recalling the moment.

Children don’t stay little for long. Parents and grandparents must cherish the moments they have with them because that time will be gone in a flash, never to be recovered again.

Actor Matthew Lawrence recalls a miracle that he witnessed firsthand and also discussed the incredible power of prayer.

The Bible is a blueprint and guidebook for life. It has commands, suggestions and examples for nearly every situation and circumstance you'll ever encounter. Are you having an issue with this or that? The Bible has words of wisdom that will guide and point you in the right direction.

Additionally, the Bible contains miracles. Miracles abound in God's Word from the Old Testament to the New Testament. But for some reason, many believe miracles no longer occur. Something like that couldn't possibly happen today, right?  Well, you'd be wrong.

In a clip posted on social media, actor Matthew Lawrence admits that he also thought miracles no longer happen. That was until he witnessed and experienced a miracle and how prayer can totally and completely change a situation.

Matthew says he went to a retreat called "21 Days of Prayer," where he and his group would begin each day at 7 a.m. praying over one another. Sadly, one of the people in his group, a woman, had been diagnosed with Stage Four cancer. She had given up all hope, Matthew says.

"And there was this one lady, Stage Four lung cancer," he said. "And on the 21st day, she says, 'At the beginning of this, I had given up. I had stopped all my cancer treatment. I had told all the doctors that I'm not doing this anymore. I am cancer-free.'"

Matthew understands that He witnessed God at work right in front of him.

"I witnessed a miracle happen in front of me," he said. "And in witnessing that, that was the real shift for me. Once you see something like this, miracles can happen."

Matthew added that this woman believed she would be healed through prayer. And "It worked," he said.

Psalm 77:14 "You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples."

A stranger saved the day after a newly engaged woman lost her ring in the ocean.

A wedding is a big, life-changing step for every couple and their families. Marriage is a beautiful institution. It’s a step that should not be taken lightly but only entered into after much thought, consideration and prayer.

Before a couple can be announced as husband and wife, and following all the thought and prayer needed to determine if marriage is the right step, something else will have to occur. It involves a marriage proposal, or “popping the question,” as it’s commonly called.

Every couple wants their proposal to be unique and memorable, something they can tell their children and grandchildren. For Katie Nicholson and Steve Frank, that moment will be one they will never forget.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Steve and Katie are on the beach, with the ocean right behind them, both dressed in white. Steve gets down on one knee, pulls out a ring and asks for Katie to be his wife. She responds, “Yes,” and the happy couple commemorates the special moment by hopping into the ocean behind them.

But they soon realized there was one huge, costly problem. Katie had lost her ring, the one Steve had just given her, in the ocean. Steve, Katie and others on the beach frantically searched the water for the diamond ring. Things were not looking good for the engaged couple.

However, a stranger showed up 20 minutes after the search started and mentioned that he had just come across a ring. He asked if they were looking for the expensive piece of jewelry. Amazingly, it was Katie’s engagement ring.

What an amazing engagement story that Katie and Steve will undoubtedly remember for the rest of their lives!

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

A woman was touched and overwhelmed by a heartwarming and unexpected gesture from her 98-year-old neighbor.

Being kind does not require exceptional talent, skill, gift or ability. It doesn’t even require a massive investment of time to be kind to someone. Everyone can be kind and loving. All that one really needs to possess to be kind is the ability to consider other people and be concerned for their well-being.

All Christians should practice kindness and consideration for others. The Bible calls on Christians to consider the needs of others. In the New Testament book of Mark, Jesus Christ calls on His followers to “love your neighbor as yourself.”  He says this is the second greatest commandment, right behind loving God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind.

A short but sweet video posted on social media perfectly demonstrates someone following Christ’s commandment to love your neighbor as yourself. The clip begins with a woman with her left hand covering her mouth. She is amazed by what has just taken place. The text above her head explains the situation that caused the woman to become emotional.

“We just moved into a house and my 98 year old neighbor just dropped off a cake to welcome us to the neighborhood,” the text reads.

The next shot is of the elderly gentleman making his way back up his driveway. The text beneath the kind and loving man mentions what he told the woman when he presented her with the cake to welcome her to the neighborhood.

“He’s lived here for 52 years and “hopes we love it as much as he has,” the text reads.

The woman also includes a quick shot of the cake the elderly gentleman gave her.

It doesn’t take much to be kind to someone, but a simple, surprising and loving gesture could mean the world to the person on the receiving end.

Actress Patricia Heaton asked her followers an important question about Jesus Christ in a clip posted on social media.

The world is a sad, lonely and lost place. It’s filled with people who are hurting, struggling and looking for hope. Their unhappiness and hurt will cause them to search far and long for anything that might bring them even the slightest, most temporary feeling of relief.

In this world, there are a ton of things that will provide happiness, at least temporarily. You’ll probably feel good for several hours to a few days and maybe even a few weeks. But eventually, that false sense of happiness and fulfillment will wear off, and you’ll be right back where you started, leaving you to start that search all over again.

However, in a clip posted on social media, Patricia reveals the true source of happiness and fulfillment. She states that there is nothing in this world that we can trust. All will let us down at one time or another. However, there is one who will never let us down. He is always faithful.

“Nothing in this world is trustworthy. Nothing,” she says. “Not the government. Not politicians. Certainly not journalists or the media. Everybody lies. So much corruption. We’re living in a particularly crazy, eventful time where the hypocrisy is on full display.”

After mentioning and pointing out the sad state of our world, Patrica poses a fundamental, crucial question about Jesus Christ to her followers on Instagram.

“So, my question is: If you haven’t put your trust in Jesus by now, what are you waiting for?” she asks. “He’s the only thing that’s true and eternal.”

As Patricia mentions in the video, Christ is faithful and true. He has never let us down, and there is no reason to think He ever will.

John 1:14 “And so the Word became flesh and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory – such glory as is given to an only son by his father – saw it to be true and full of grace.”

In a cozy family gathering filled with laughter and anticipation, a game of charades took an unexpected and romantic turn when Liz found herself at the center of a surprise marriage proposal. As family members guessed Liz's playful charades, suggestions ranged from whimsical creatures like Sassquash to formidable beasts like gorillas, eliciting giggles. Unbeknownst to Liz, who was attempting to be a bear amidst the spirited game, Tim quietly slipped away and prepared for the moment he had meticulously planned.

Down on one knee, ring in hand, Tim awaited Liz's attention. Lost in the game's hilarity, Liz initially wondered if this was another charade twist or a playful prank. However, as she turned and caught Tim's earnest gaze, her heart skipped a beat. The realization dawned on her, and her laughter turned into stunned silence, then tears of joy.

"Everyone knew I was going to propose that weekend," Tim later shared, recounting the buildup to this heartfelt moment. Throughout the day, he had surreptitiously captured pictures of the ring in different settings, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Amidst the charades and family banter, he seized his moment with love and determination.

Surrounded by their cheering family, Liz said ‘yes’ with overwhelming happiness. The room filled with applause and heartfelt congratulations as Tim slid the ring onto her finger, sealing their love with promises of a future together. Thank the good Lord for moments of joy and love, such as the surprise marriage proposal amidst a game of charades. Thank God for blessing us with the capacity to love deeply and guiding us through moments shaping our futures.

In a heartwarming tale that's gone viral, a police officer’s heartwarming act of kindness to a dog in the rain will make you want to stand up and clap for his generosity. 

Trooper Lance Willis of the Tennessee Highway Patrol became a real-life superhero when he rescued a stray dog from a rainy predicament. Spotting the pooch wandering perilously in the middle of rush hour traffic, Trooper Willis sprang into action, parking his patrol car strategically with lights ablaze to halt oncoming vehicles. With a beckoning gesture, he stepped out into the rain and coaxed the hesitant dog into safety.

The dashcam footage capturing this act of kindness shows Trooper Willis patiently gaining the trust of the wary pup named Luna. Once aboard the safety of his vehicle, Luna found comfort in the company of her temporary rescuer, who ensured she was safe until animal control arrived. Luna was whisked off to Petworks Animal Services, where a reunion with her worried family awaited.

Relieved and touched by Luna's safe recovery, Trooper Willis expressed his gratitude upon learning that Luna's family had been located. Social media erupted with praise for the officer's compassionate gesture, with users hailing him as more than just a cop – he was a true hero for animals everywhere. "Tennesse State Trooper Willis, you're my hero," one commenter shared, echoing the sentiments of many touched by the heartening rescue. Another joked, “The dog is like I called for an Uber, but this nice policeman will do it!”

In a world often filled with sirens and traffic, Trooper Willis' selfless act stands out as a beacon of hope and compassion. Luna's story reminds us of the bond between humans and their furry companions, proving that even in the midst of a storm, there are always moments of kindness that shine through like a sunny day.

A construction worker showed great concern and unexpected kindness after a child had a nasty bike wreck.

Children are supposed to be outside enjoying the great outdoors, having fun, exploring with their friends and engaging in some much-needed physical activity. Phones, tablets and other devices with screens consume too much of our time, including children's. Putting the screens down and spending more time outside, away from those devices, would do us all some good.

One of the most common ways for children to experience the outdoors is by riding a bike. It's a great way to exercise and a relatively quick method of getting from Point A to Point B. Plus, riding bikes is just a lot of fun.

In a clip posted on social media, a young man and his buddies were outside, riding their bikes together, when he rode past a construction site. The construction workers were working on the lane next to them when the young man took a tumble and fell. From the video, the crash looks pretty bad. It wouldn't have been surprising if the young man had come away from the wreck with an injury or two.

After the young man falls to the ground, one of the construction workers immediately rushes over to him. The kind city worker picks up the little guy's bike and then proceeds to help the young man to his feet.

But the construction worker's kindness did not stop there. He dusted off the boy's bike, made sure it still operated properly and even cleaned off the young man's hands.

Soon after, the group of youngsters was back on their way. Right before the clip ends, the construction worker lightly and friendly pats one of the children on the helmet as the kids ride past him.

It doesn't take much to be kind to someone else, but it can significantly impact the person receiving the action or one witnessing the move.

Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you."

Author and former television talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford praised God for His continued grace and talked about some of the joys of being a grandmother.

Without God’s grace, love, forgiveness and mercy, no hope would exist for anyone. All would be lost, condemned to live out their days on Earth in their sin and shame. But God, when He sent His one and only Son, forever changed all that for everyone.

God showed incredible grace and love in sending His son, Jesus Christ, who willingly went to the cross and died in our place. But the Lord continues to shed that same grace in our daily lives, blessing us and giving us things we do not deserve.

In an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna, Kathie Lee Gifford praised God for the grace He has shown her and continues to show her. She also talked about a serious medical procedure that she had undergone but praised God for His work in her life.

“And when my doctors got done with me, they just said, ‘Your spine and hips are down to the nubs because of the way you’ve lived your life,’” she said. “Now, would I live a different kind of life than I’ve lived? No, this is the life the Lord has given me. And by His grace, I’m still here. By His grace, I’ve survived a lot of things.”

Kathie also talked about her grandchildren and how much she absolutely enjoys being a grandmother, even if they have taken over her house.

“It’s everything everybody says it is,” Kathie said. “It’s just joy. It’s just joy.”

She joked that she now has a crib in every room of her house and demanded to know who really needs all those bottles.

Hebrews 4:16 “Then let us come near to the seat of grace without fear, so that mercy may be given to us, and we may get grace for our help in time of need.”

At the start of this clip, we see the words, “Meet Cash Harris, the 6-year-old with spina bifida who loves sports.” Cash is seen in his living room smiling at the camera and shooting a basketball at his mini hoop. The parents share about how Cash loves every sport. We see various moments of Cash in a wheelchair playing golf, at a baseball game, and swimming in the ocean. 

His dad shares that he loves how his son does not allow his disease to get in the way of his love for sports and activities. There is a flashback clip of Cash when he was first born in the hospital, and they share about his diagnosis. The mom teaches that it is where the spinal cord is not completely developed, and it causes nerve damage. Cash is therefore paralyzed on most of his body because of the lack of nerves. 

The dad reveals that when their boy was young, he loved basketball and football. They share that he plays wheelchair basketball as a sport. Chase is a fitness coach who helps Cash learn to navigate his unique challenges and helps him to grow stronger. The father shares that his wife is a pediatric nurse, and he is an exercise sports trainer, so they can help their son in a special way. They reveal the joy it has been to work with their son because he has such a positive and hard-working attitude to be an overcomer. This story will encourage you and remind you that our challenges and weaknesses can be used as beautiful strengths. Christ helps all believers in Him to be overcomers.

An off-duty firefighter's quick actions and thinking saved a man's life at a high school graduation.

Graduations are special ceremonies that recognize and celebrate students' hard work and countless hours of study. They are often joyous and happy occasions as family and friends come together to honor the educational achievements of someone close to them. Regardless of the degree obtained, graduating from an academic institution of any kind is an important milestone and should be recognized as such.

Graduation ceremonies are about individuals dressed in cap and gowns striding across the stage to receive their diplomas. All the attention and focus should be and usually is on the graduating students. However, a scary, life-threatening incident momentarily took the focus off the graduates at one high school graduation. Luckily, an off-duty firefighter was in attendance, and he knew exactly what to do during the emergency.

In the clip posted on social media, a man in his 70s unexpectedly collapsed, causing a large thud as he fell to the ground at a high school graduation in Tennessee. The man had gone into cardiac arrest. Undoubtedly, it was a scary scene for all in attendance.

But one man, Jayce Pickle, was not frozen in fear. The video captures Jayce running toward the man moments after he fell to the floor. Jayce is an off-duty firefighter and immediately began performing CPR. Moments later, an AED arrived, and soon after that, Jayce was able to detect a faint pulse. Then, Jayce and several others helped carry the 70-year-old to an awaiting ambulance. The elderly man was then transported to a hospital.

Despite his efforts, Jayce remains modest about his actions that day, believing he does not fit the definition of a "hero."

"I've been a part of a lot of hero-like things," Jayce said. "Hero is a nice title, and, you know, I don't think I deserve it."

Many people would beg to differ.

Proverbs 11:17 "The man who has mercy will be rewarded, but the cruel man is the cause of trouble to himself."

A man in his 70s performed quite the dance after completing his final cancer treatment.

Unfortunately, we will all encounter many frightening and painful experiences. These situations will induce grief and sorrow and raise a lot of unanswered questions. To make those circumstances even worse, they usually occur when we least expect them and are things we have no control over.

As bad and as dark as some valleys can be, nothing compares to hearing the word “cancer” from a medical professional. It doesn’t matter if it’s about a loved one’s diagnosis or your own; both will completely rock your world. Everything after that diagnosis will change forever.

Cancer is an evil and horrible disease. It does nothing but hurt and destroy. That’s why when someone successfully gets through their cancer treatment, it’s a moment of relief and celebration. Because of everything that the patient and their family go through during that fight, that is a time that should be commemorated in some form or fashion.

A clip posted on YouTube shows the unique and hilarious way a 76-year-old man celebrated the special occasion. The short video begins with the elderly man walking up to a bell and enthusiastically ringing it multiple times.

He is composed, taking the significance of the bell ringing entirely in stride, internalizing it and not showing any emotion. After ringing the bell, the man takes a step or two and softly throws his jacket on the floor. Once his coat is out of his possession and on the floor, he does something unexpected.

The 76-year-old breaks out into a hilarious dance number, showing off his impressive moves. He does this for several seconds, and then, as quickly as he starts, he stops.

What a hilarious but incredibly moving moment.
