We Are Uniquely Made

We are uniquely created by God, and this truth is illustrated visually though the careful and intricate way origami is folded to create beautiful pieces of art. This video is a great lead into songs like "The Way I Was Made" and "Made to Worship" by Chris Tomlin and "Made for More" by Lincoln Brewster.

Your Father Knows That You Need These Things

God is looking for a faith in Him that just takes for granted His provision for “all these things” –the same essential stuff that everybody chases after. He is looking for a faith that diligently seeks Him—never questioning His desire or His ability to bless us with “all these things.”
When we seek the kingdom of God, we seek the presence of God. We no longer need to seek after “all these things” because our focus is on “every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (see Matthew 4:4).
God's kind of prosperity flows out of our relationship with Him. God's kind of prosperity is not limited to money, but is rich in all the resources we need—from peace to property.

The Loner

Dr. Dobson recalls a time early in his career as a high school counselor when a lonely young man confided in him that he hadn't any friends or anyone who cared about him. Unfortunately, this kind of isolation isn't uncommon and will sometimes lead to violence.

Keys to the Kingdom

Why in the world would I want something to happen in my life that God didn't want to happen? And why wouldn't I want what God wants, instead? I am becoming more and more convinced that it is foolish to ask God for something—anything—that He doesn't want for our lives.
In other words, the question should shift from: “God, will You please agree with me in this situation and give me what I want?” to “God, will You please show me what You want in this situation so that I can agree with You?”
Sadly, too many of us would respond with, “What's the point of a relationship with God if I can't get “my” prayers answered?” But such a faith in God, presented as a way of getting “my” prayers answered, is a mutant form of faith that is not at all reliable.

I am an Overcomer

I witnessed the murder of my mother at age 5. Losing my parents to a murder suicide greatly affected my life and sent me down a dark path of depression. I myself almost lost my life to a suicide attempt but Gods grace and mercy has saved my life. I have now been serving God for 16 years!

I have since started a clothing line called Overcomer Apparel - (based on Revelation 12:11), with the purpose of spreading the Gospel and financially helping struggling single parents, as this is my very same situation.

Here is my testimony video.. I am more than an Overcomer thru Christ!

I pray my testimony can encourage and bring hope to other hurting people.

Faith Redefined

Please consider how much our understanding of faith would change if we began to think of faith as the means to get what God wants for us, and not what we want for ourselves.
When we believe that we have the innate ability to decide what is right for us and for others, we start down a road of misguided faith. When we pursue what we want without any accountability to God, we head off in a direction that is not in our best interest. When we have no accountability to God, but just do what we think is best, then stupid stuff happens.
I know this runs contrary to the way Christianity is presented today, at least here in the United States. But just consider the Biblical evidence—when people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes, as recorded in Judges chapters 17 and 21

God Is Not a Vending Machine

For such a long time, we have thought about faith as a tool to get what we want from God. And it takes some real mental gymnastics to think of faith as a tool for relationship. Yes, He does reward those who diligently seek Him.
But have you ever considered the possibility that He is the reward—He is the reward and not His goodies?

The Chastening of the Lord (Sermon Jam)

This video jam titled "The Chastening of the Lord" comes from a sermon preached by Vincent A. Artese "Therefore I Hope In Him".

This is a prayer to the LORD by the prophet Jeremiah as he reflects upon the destruction of Jerusalem. His reflection leads him to humble himself under the mighty hand of God. There is no better place to be during a time of trial or affliction than to be humbled before the LORD under His mighty hand looking to see what He wills to show you through the situation. It has all taken place in response to sin and rebellion of the people. The entire calamity caused their hope and their strength to perish. It is from this place of humility and lack of strength that Jeremiah finds hope. Jeremiah sees that all of this has come about not for their destruction but for their salvation! God is merciful and compassionate! God has an end and a purpose for the entire situation! The end intended by the LORD is the salvation of the people. This leads Jeremiah to wait on the LORD and seek Him! God chastises those He loves for the sake of their refinement and their sanctification. During times of chastisement we must submit to God by faith. God’s chastisement produces righteousness, holiness, and eternal life. We must submit, surrender, and consecrate ourselves to His ends and His purposes! He is worthy of our trust because He is perfectly just! He will never act contrary to His attributes! And God is Holy Love!

Relationship with God Is Not a Maintenance Item

I enjoy creating things. But I don't enjoy maintaining things. So I always create with minimal maintenance in mind. When I build something—no matter what the size or the purpose—I build it to function with minimal maintenance (or no maintenance, if at all possible). Don't get me wrong, I do maintain things—but not always with the best attitude. I would rather move on to the next project.
Are we the same in our relationship with God? Do we just maintain, at a bare minimum, our relationship with Him—and not always with the best attitude? Would we rather move on to something else?
These are critical questions in our study of faith. So let me ask another question: What if faith is not what we think it is?
