Forgiveness can be one of our greatest struggles. Because for some reason sometimes it feels good to stay mad.
But the truth is that forgiveness is not really for the offender but for the offended.
When you forgive you let go of all resentment, hurt, grudges, and pain. And you are free to live a true happy life. Watch this 3 minute video on the struggle to forgive.
Claire Diaz-Ortiz tells Crosswalk about Hope Runs, the memoir she wrote with her foster son Sammy about their meeting in Kenya, founding a nonprofit in a Kenyan orphanage, and how following God's lead changed the whole course of her life.
This video jam titled "Stir Up the Fire" comes from a sermon preached by Dr. Vincent G. Artese titled "Stir Up the Fire and Add Fresh Fuel".
If the fire of God is going down in you God wants to breathe new life into it. Christ is coming in judgment, and His judgment will be based on our righteousness. Each one must stir up the fire of God within, holiness is the flame of God! Keep the faith warm and glowing always, it will not stay lit on its own, it must be cared for and attended to. The embers need to be stirred, fresh fuel must be added, and it is the Holy Spirit that does this work.

Holly Starr is an extremely talented singer/songwriter from Washington state. This is her latest single, titled "God Is", written by Phillip LaRue and Christopher Stevens. To me the lyrics sort of reflect John 16:33, which starts out with Jesus saying "In this world you *will* have trouble." So, the song sort of focuses on trials and hurts and fears. But in the second part of John 16:33 Jesus says "But take heart! I have overcome the world!" That's the good news of this song. God is our Refuge, our Savior, He is "greater than the pain".

Road to Freedom is founded on the belief that freedom is possible, and Jesus Christ is the source.
The Gospel teaches that a life free from the bondage of addiction is not only possible, in Christ it's a promise. Our program is founded on the belief that hope and restoration for the lost and the broken is found through God's Word, His Spirit and His power working through His people. It is this power that can break the chains of addiction and give us strength to walk in victory for a lifetime. Skeptics, spiritual seekers, and committed believers have all had life transforming experiences at the Road to Freedom. In Galatians 5:1, the apostle Paul proclaims, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." Our mission is to help all who are willing to experience that freedom in Christ.
Our caring staff is made up of pastors, Christian therapists and doctors with many years of experience in addiction treatment. Pastoral care, prayer, bible studies, worship and Christ-centered addiction counseling are the building blocks of our program. The Road to Freedom team will help you discover freedom from the bondage of addiction and teach you how to continue to walk in that liberty for a lifetime. Join us and start the healing today.
