It's tempting to wake up early, rush through the day, fall into bed exhausted and drift off to sleep, and miss the day's opportunity to spend time in the presence of the Lord. We must not be like the busy executive where life needs to strike us a hard blow before we refocus on those things that really matter.

Imagine that in the beginning of time that there was nothing, yet, The Word of God was there in the midst of nothingness. The passage says that one day, there will be nothing left, yet The Word of God, will still be there. Since the Word of God is that powerful that time cannot erase it or history cannot change it, shouldn't you and I be relying on The Word to sustain our lives?
The Word is powerful. In the beginning God spoke the Word and everything came into existence by the power of God's Word. This same power is alive and well today and the power of the Word will never fail or fade.
The Word of God is no just some words written on a piece of paper, no, the Word of God is a person, the person of Jesus Christ himself. In the gospel of St. John chapter 1, the writer said that "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we saw the glory of the only begotten Son of The Father".
