"From My Mother's Womb"

"From My Mother's Womb", sermon by Rev Walt Ullman, St Pauls Lutheran Church (LCMS), Evansville, Indiana, January 16, 2011, Sanctity of Life Sunday

Introduction of weekly devotional

This is just an introduction of a weekly devotional I am going to do.

The Coming Kingdom

As Christian we can constantly live on the verge, on the cusp of something new and exciting. Our entire lives happen in the realm between heaven and earth. We’re simultaneously sinner and saint. We live between Christ’s first coming where He redeemed us and His second Coming where he’ll fully restore and recreate us. We’re in the front end of a new creation. As God conforms us to the image of His Son, Jesus, we are displaying his love and likeness to the world. We are on the front lines of the inbreaking of the kingdom of God. Based off of Isaiah 2:1-5

God Reigns

God created everything. He's the king of the universe. He is all powerful and above all things. Yet it often doesn't feel like it. We can forget that the all powerful God is on our side. If God is for us, who can be against us. The king of all creation became one of us, and suffered on our behalf, so that he could help us in our suffering, so he could free us from our chains, and could give us eternal life and joy in Him.
