1 Corinthians 6:1-11

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goeth to law with

On Your Side

Ps 118:5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, [and set me] in a large place. Ps 118:6 The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

"Singing For Joy"

Pastor Dunbar bases today's sermon on the reading from Zephaniah 3: 14-20. As Christians, we need to be reminded to rejoice in our Lord as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and remember that God sent His son to die for us and give us eternal life.

Acts 21:22-40

22 What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. 23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them; 24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

The Third Sunday of Advent: Knowing God's Love

Southside Baptist Church
December 13, 2015
Pastor Bishop Helsley
Zephaniah 3:14-20

Summary: Relationships are significant and important. In fact, relationships are an essential element of life. In most loving relationships, the relationship begins with a need to demonstrate love and affection, but eventually the relationship develops beyond the need for proof. Many people turn to God for favors or miracles as evidence of His love, but in our relationship with a loving God, we have to reach a point when we no longer need evidence, but simply know that God loves us.

The Second Sunday of Advent: The Way of Peace

Southside Baptist Church
December 6, 2015
Pastor Bishop Helsley
Luke 1:68-79

Summary: Christmas is normally a chaotic and busy time for many people. But, the true meaning of Christmas is all about the coming of peace. When we speak about peace in the coming of Christ, we are not talking about the cessation of conflict, but rather the defeat of fear and worry that comes from resting in the promises of God.

Violent Night, Holy Night

Pastor Jeff shares how we sing Christmas carols, specifically Silent Night, but the night that Jesus was born was everything but. The enemy has been trying to kill Him since day one and he is still trying, even more so this Christmas season. For more videos or information on the ministry, visit www.ongoodground.org

Exodus 15:1 - 27

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. 3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. 4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. 5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. 6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
