"Manifesto for Missions!" Rev. R S MacLaren, 4/27/2014

A momentous development for the future of global Christianity sprang from the testimony and death of the first Christian Martyr Stephen. No longer would the Christian mission be limited to the confines of Palestine. Now it would begin to extend to the nations of the earth. Pastor MacLaren's sermon is based on Acts 8:1-13 and was present to First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, on April 27, 2014. First Church is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

Second Sunday of Easter

Pastor Ed provided the sermon today.

When Thomas met the Resurrection

The power of the resurrection was not just one of the event, for Thomas and many others it needs to be made real through finding in Jesus the Transcendence of God bringing the New Life to us. This message challenges you to turn and believe as you meet the Resurrection!

Why Doubting Thomas?

Pastor Rick Green in his last Sermon at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Alamogordo examines Jesus appearing before his disciples after the resurrection.

The Living Hope (4-27-14)

Pastor E Dean, preaching on our 1 Peter reading, tells us some of the benefits of Suffering, that life troubles can make us “bitter or better” and that we have a living hope in our Risen Christ.

Stereotyped

Peter, a devout Jew visits the home of Cornelius, a God-fearing Gentile.

Have you been stereotyped? Did institutional racism exist in the Bible?

1:We have to first hear the word of God.
2: Push pass what you have been taught, for the word of God.
3: Once you have push pass, once you understand the word of God, you have to share it.
4: Understand the work of God and how he can work thru me.

What God has cleansed, let no man call it unclean. Everything that God made is good. He didn't make any junk.
Are you looking out for your own? Don't you think that you are being races if you can't even look out for your own?
There is no where in the bible that Cain was cursed black. There is no where in the bible that it says that blacks were to be slaves. Peter was a man that loved God, but he had prejudice in his heart.
If you don't want to deal with the sin matter, you will not be able to deal with the race matter.

Peace - Rev. C. David Coyle

No man, no woman will ever know true, fulfilling peace until they know the peace of Jesus Christ. We who know Him know He is our peace, the source of peace and the giver of peace.
