Some think that to be saved, all you need to do is pray a prayer and there is nothing else required. This sermon makes it clear that if you are truly saved, you will also have a desire to know and enjoy your Heavenly Father. Enjoying God is not extra. It is the essence of the Gospel.
This sermon is a bit lengthy. Yet, I noticed that almost everyone in the congregation stayed tuned in and were actively taking notes during the whole sermon. I believe this sermon touched a nerve and the Holy Spirit was driving the truth home to all of our hearts.
May you also experience the same thing as you listen.

You've been playing the part, but on the inside you have been struggling with the issues in your life which has caused you to think that God can't possibly use you. You've been mistreated, abused, talked about, shunned; you've made some mistakes in life and you even have believed the lie from the enemy that God doesn't love you........ You get to a point in life where you begin to ask God: Why were you born?

John Hancock was no Massachusetts moderate! A wealthy businessman, he joined the Continental Congress during the period of the American Revolution and served as its first President. He was the first one to sign the Declaration of Independence, and he signed with such large letters that no one would need their glasses to read it. While this would put his life at great risk, the apostle Paul faced similar consequences for the letter he wrote to the churches of Galatia. Watch as Pastor MacLaren shows from Galatians 6:11-18 how those who truly confess the cross of Jesus Christ--as consistent with Scripture's own interpretation of it--face tremendous hostility from those whose only concern is their personal comfort and advancement. This sermon was preached at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA on March 4, 2012. The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor.
You've been asking God, when God, when? You've been holding back, procrastinating, ready to quit, given in and throw in the towel. Now is the time of your deliverance, your rescue, your season is upon you. Now is the time!
