Did Yeshua come to destroy religion? Do Christians have a faith without a religion? And what is religion in the first place? Here I take on the modern claim that Christians are without a religion, and show it to be clearly false according to a simple dictionary definition of the word and what the Bible tells us. What does submission mean? Just lovingly serve one another? Just be devoted? Here I go through most of the uses of the word in the New Testament as well as some from the Hebrew Scriptures. It was a real blast to research this. Submission in marriage, much like submission towards civil authorities or the Lord, means honoring the husband as head and obeying him.
I probably didn’t need to make this essay as long as it is, but with so much deception in the Body of Messiah, I think it’s good to be thorough and leave little room for doubt. Much of the Church either denies the fact of submission, or speaks out of both sides of its mouth on the subject. Therefore I think this study can offer you some insight the average pastor these days will not. May you be blessed by it, and courageously speak and live the truth.
