Overtaking The Culture | Shift Canada

This video was produced by Shift Canada. https://www.shiftcanada.ca
This was a spoken word poem that was written to give an example of what a culture might look like if Jesus Christ was the foundation of it.

I gave Jordan a week to come up with this poem for a local teen and young adult event that was being hosted at Third Day Worship Centre in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The Event was called "Overtaking the Culture" and it was put on by there teen and young adult ministry - Revolution. https://www.revolutioncanada.com

LASTing Peace, "What Can You Do With Maturity?"

What does it mean to be spiritually mature? Must you be wise in order to be mature? Or does maturity train us to discern wisdom? For that matter, what is wisdom?

What is Wisdom?

Truly what is wisdom? James 1:5 tells us that God gives it liberally and graciously to everyone who ask for it. Lead Pastor Joshua takes us on a journey to show everyone what true wisdom is...Jesus and Him crucified.

Stay Human

This new one is also outside of my usual reform and holiness work, but I felt it urgent to present the coming battle humanity faces. And we all face this battle, believer or unbeliever. That is the battle of continuing in our core natural identity, or giving in to scientism and blending human nature with inhuman nature. I believe a stand with God is a stand with natural law. Stay human, brothers. God bless you.

Acts 8:1-6

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. 4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

1 John 2:1-14

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

Acts 7:52-60 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. 54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

No One Will Be Saved After Death. (Part 4 of 5)

In this Five-Part series, William presents "5 Fearsome Facts from the Faithful Word of God". It is taken from the Sermon on the Mount in the gospel of Matthew by the Lord Jesus Christ.

This teaching deals with "Fearsome Fact Number Four" - "No One Will Be Saved After Death." No on will be saved on the other side of the grave.

Whether a man goes to heaven or hell is decided in this life on this side of the grave by what he does with Jesus Christ.

A man either dies saved or he dies lost.

Romans 1:30 – 2:9

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
