So you think that sea dragons are mythical creatures? We’ll change your mind on today’s Creation Moments Minute.
Because the vast seas were unknown to so many in the ancient world, early explorers were filled with fear about monsters that might live in unknown regions. After centuries of exploration on and under the sea, we have learned that the seas hold far more beauty than beasts.
One of the most beautiful and unusual creatures in the sea is the sea dragon. Sea dragons are not monsters; the largest members of their family reach a length of only 18 inches. They belong to a family that includes more than 200 types of sea horses and pipefish. Yet, they look completely unlike any other fish. Most of them, in fact, look like seaweed with eyes and a snout like a sea horses' on one end.
More about the not-so-fearsome sea dragon next time.

On today’s Creation Moments Minute we look at the way ground squirrels warn one another of danger.
In previous programs we have marveled at the range of animal communication and how it reflects the intelligence and genius of the Creator. Today we consider the ground squirrel. Ground squirrels have two distinct alarm calls, depending upon what is after them. If a ground squirrel hears the alarm call that warns of a bird of prey, he will dive for the nearest protection. But if the alarm signals a digging predator like a badger, ground squirrels will pass nearby burrows to hide in one that has a back door escape route.
The Bible tells us that all things were made through the Word – the Son of God. Therefore, we should not be surprised to learn that many creatures besides humans have the ability to communicate very specific messages to each other.

This past summer I did an internship that required me to submit a video creatively telling them who I was. I decided to write a spoken word describing my testimony.
So the captain approached him and said, "How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god. Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish." Jonah 1:6 Please join us today as we discuss the matter of sleeping excessively and missing out on the things which God has for us to do.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

Who is to say what is right and wrong? Where do we get our sense of morality? In this Faith File -- Reasons Enough for Belief I discuss how our desire for fairness, right living, and justice help strengthen the argument for the existence of God. Genesis 42:1-38
Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another? 2 And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die. 3 And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt. 4 But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him. 5 And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan. 6 And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth. 7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. 8 And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

The first in a series of seven short videos giving reasons enough to believe. This first video, The Origins of Everything, deals with the issue of how the universe got here. I give reasons why it makes sense to believe that God created everything. I realize I'm only able to give a brief introduction to this subject, and the ones to follow, but my hope it at least will stimulate further study and reflection. A printed version of this information is available at my web site, as well as a pdf version for printing and distribution. Feel free to copy and distribute this information, but it would be nice if you'd leave my name, the author, attached to it.
