Not sure if it's me, the day, or the powerful mode of this Psalm, which is really a complaint to God. This almost seems blasphemous at first encounter, but what it really draws out, I think, is the deeply personal nature of Asaph's relationship with God: he argues with him like he would with a family member, even seems to chastise Him! Just an extraordinary example of faith being tested to its limit and surviving.
