A prayer for times of adversity

Thank You for choosing me as your Jacob. Thank you for changing me to Israel. I bless the day You chose me in Your Son. I worship You for the lack of fear You are promoting in my life. Truly, no one loves me as You do. I confess that You are with me and in Your presence there is no fear… only Your great love for me. I bless You that You have pulled the plug on my anxiety and my fears are draining away...Your presence strengthens me as the promise of Your help fills my senses. You will help me! You will help me!! You will help me!!!
You will uphold me with Your own righteous hand and tender heart. Your loving kindness is eternal. Your love is everlasting. In Your great heart, You will purify me. Your holiness is a gift to my inability to change. Because of You… Jacob is diminishing and Israel is forming. You, and only You, are my Redeemer. I accept Your help in all things. Today, while it is still called today, I rest in Your unchanging love. The strength of Your compassion for me upholds me in Your peace. You will complete that which You have begun in me. I have no doubt about that. I am confident in Your great love… great God.

A prayer when people rise up against you (Addressing slander and gossip)

“Father, I’m weary of being misunderstood,” I pray. “I’m tired of the ungracious scrutiny of others. Hide
me, dear Lord, in the secret place of Your presence. Keep me from people who speak about me, but not
to me. I am helpless against the riptide of their words. I cannot defend myself. Refresh my heart to look
on them with love. I accept this part of Your cross. Change my heart to speak with Your love and sculpt
my life through these situations. Let their hard words chisel away my roughness, forming Christ.”
