Amy Grant Speaks Out After Suffering Brain Injury Following Bike Accident

Amy Grant speaks out after suffering brain injury following a bike accident. The six-time Grammy award winner with Christian and pop hits like “Baby Baby” feels like she’s finally emerging from her ordeal. Back in 2021, Amy hit a pothole while riding her bike.

She knew she would be banged up, but she never imagined she would suffer from a brain injury. Amy went from knowing the names of her family and singing to writing what she did know in a notebook.

“I wrote this long book. It was a spiral notebook. And I was just writing to remember, writing — making sure I could remember everybody’s name in my family, which I couldn’t, at first,” she said. This included no memory of any of the songs she had written and performed.

She was told it would take up to 18 months to fully recover, but she’s not letting the road to recovery keep her parked. She isn’t out of the woods yet, but through God’s healing and strength, she’s getting there.

“I feel fantastic I mean, really, from 2020 on, I feel like I had to, if I were a car, I’ve made a lot of trips to the shop. And I feel like I’m emerging. I went, ‘Oh man, I feel like a classic now.’ And actually, sort of re-revved up in a really beautiful way,” she said

And she’s performed a time or two. The night of her first performance, she prayed for God’s grace and strength. She recalled how much it meant to have support and great friends. “So the first night of the Christmas tour, which is the first time back on tour, teleprompter, and I was on heels,” she said. “I was, like, holding onto the piano. Before the show, I was like, ‘I’m so scared. I’m so scared.’ And I work with so many great singers, and they’re like, ‘We got you, we got you.’"

With the support of her husband, Vince Gill, and her family, she is back to performing, and she’s back in the studio to record new music. Despite the bike accident, Amy seems to be in a better place.

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise,” Jeremiah 17:14.

God Told Christian Artist Jenn Johnson To Buy Shoes At Rite-Aid, And The Reason Why Is Amazing

God wants to speak to us and use us to bless others every day. God told Christian artist Jenn Johnson to buy shoes at a Rite-Aid, and the reason why is amazing. Jenn Johnson is a singer, songwriter, author, and musician. She encountered God as a teenager one summer during camp.

She had prayed for God to show her where he needed her. As she was praying, God gave her a vision of a mom standing in an aisle at a Rite-Aid looking at shoes. Jenn didn’t even know what a Rite-Aid was. But nonetheless, she obeyed. When the group got to town,

Jenn was floored to find the store. But the incredible moment wasn’t the vision of the store but the encounter inside the store. A mom holding a baby was looking at shoes. That’s when Jenn walked up to the struggling mother and blessed her.

Jenn walked up to the mother and started a conversation that would forever change her life. “I walked up to her and said, ‘Ma’am I just had this vision, and I wanted to ask if you need shoes. Can I buy these shoes?” Jenn said the woman looked at her like the world had stopped. The mother responded in tears. “I don’t even know why I’m in here right now. I don’t have money, and he needs shoes.”

Jenn then proceeded to pay for the shoes and told the struggling mom, “God loves you, ma’am.” Jenn sums up the story with the message that God wants to be obedient in the small everyday moments. He wants us to be seeking him in all that we do.

We will never know how he wants to use us to bless others and build our faith in return. May this incredible story be a reminder you need to be faithful to God in all things.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light,” Matthew 11:28-30.

Bindi Irwin Shares Decade-Long Health Battle

We’ve followed her life from when she lost her dad to becoming a new mom and wife.

Bindi Irwin is now sharing her decade-long health battle with endometriosis to inspire others. She posted on Twitter, “For 10 years, I’ve struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain, and nausea. A doctor told me it was simply something you deal with as a woman, and I gave up entirely, trying to function through the pain.”

Endometriosis is a disease that causes tissue to grow outside the uterus. It’s incredibly painful and can cause infertility. Bindi shared on her social media channels about her journey because she wants other women to know they aren’t alone in their own health battles.

She also wants people to understand we have no idea what life is like behind closed doors. For Bindi, it was insurmountable pain and being misdiagnosed. When her doctors did realize she had endometriosis, she was encouraged to have surgery. When the procedure was complete, she learned her medical team had removed over 37 lesions.

“Things may look fine on the outside looking in through someone’s life. However, that is not always the case,” she shared on Instagram. She then added, “Please be gentle and pause before asking me (or any woman) when we’ll be having more children. "After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family’s miracle.”

This incredible 24-year-old hopes to spread awareness and compassion by sharing her story. God calls us to be compassionate and to be the hands and feet of Jesus when and where we can. Even though she’s recovering from surgery, Bindi is doing an incredible job of raising awareness and compassion through immense grace.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding,” Proverbs 3:5

Australian DrillDance Routine Is Simply Mesmerizing

Holy schnikeys, this Australian drilldance routine is mesmerizing! Try as you might, you will be hard-pressed to find even the hint of a misstep in the performance!

In America, there are dance teams and drill teams, but Australia appears to have combined the two into a single sport, and this group, named Enigma, has mastered it!

Most people have been in or watched a child participate in cheerleading, marching band, flag corp (color guard), dance team, show choir, or similar activity in which precision and timing are critical. Those are the events where the slightest lack of synchronicity or the failure to remember each beat in a sequence costs points in the competition. They aren’t for the lazy!

But Enigma has chosen their name wisely! This group of gals, festooned and fixed-up flamingos in boots, are quite a mystery! They look more like soldiers—even robots—than a group of young ladies. Enigma exhibits absolute consistency and uniformity in their hairstyles, facial expressions, and steps. And there are lots of different types of steps!

Enigma marches in the traditional fashion, and they do a goose step. They walk quickly and slowly. Though not the technical term, they do a sort of slide step at 1:45, and there is a fancy little toe step at 2:45. That’s also not the correct name. They move backward, forwards, sideways, and diagonally, add arm movements and salutes, and create intricate formations. Imagine the discipline and hours of practice required!

The group of 15, representing South Australia, won gold at the 2022 Australia DrillDance Championships. The Omaha School of Music and Dance published a blog post about the ways in which music and math are related. One of those four is the fact that both use patterns. With that in mind, I’m betting these amazing drill dancers are excellent math students, too!

So often, we pursue individual goals and solo endeavors. And while those reflect wonderful American values, Australia’s Enigma has provided an exceptional example of a collective effort!

“Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise.” Proverbs 1:2

Joyce Meyer Reminds Us That God Doesn't Make Mistakes

Joyce Meyer reminds us that God doesn’t make mistakes.

We’re living in a broken world, and we’re wondering if we’re the problem. We feel defeated, corrupted, and afraid everyone else is going to learn our little secret: we’re a mistake. But that’s not true.

Joyce shares she felt like God had somehow made a mistake when he created her. She felt less than and unworthy after years of abuse. She felt imperfect and useless after she came to know Christ as her savior.

That’s when the joy of the Lord began to bloom in her heart. Joyce began to set her mind on the truth of God’s word instead of the terrible messages she told herself. She said, “Let me tell you something. It is amazingly freeing when you come to the point of saying, “God loves me. I’m his child.

I’m not an accident. He created me. He has a purpose for me, and maybe other people have spent their whole lives trying to destroy me. But God, he is my healer, and I am on my way back.”

Isn’t that incredible? If only we could believe that. Sometimes it’s hard to stand on God’s word when it feels like the world is against us. Thank goodness for God’s mercy and strength. He lends it to us when we are at the end of our rope. Joyce shares facts about what God says about all of his beloved children.

We are not mistakes. We are not frauds. We are loved and worthy because God doesn’t make mistakes. He created each of us perfectly.

Let’s take a moment to pray. “Father God, when I am feeling insecure, help me to be secure in you. When I feel like I am a mistake, remind me that I am perfect because you created me. When I am feeling down, help me to lean in on your strength and stand on your truths. Amen.”

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well,” Psalm 139:14
