Rest from a Performative Faith | Your Nightly Prayer

Like the Israelites at the Red Sea (Exodus 14), sometimes God’s call isn’t to fight or run—but to be still. That command feels counterintuitive when fear and striving push us to do more. In tonight's prayer and devotional, we are reminded that spiritual stillness isn’t defeat—it’s trust. Amber Ginter reflects on how many of us live out a performative faith, one that feels like we must continually prove ourselves to God and others. But salvation doesn’t come from our effort; it comes by grace through faith. When we rest in Him, we move from striving to surrender. Being still is one of the deepest acts of obedience. It reorients our hearts from performance to presence. It’s not passive—it’s an active declaration that God is in control and His grace is enough.

Reflections That Save - James 1:19-24

Viewers are encouraged to slow their speech, temper their anger, and receive God’s truth with humility. Like a mirror that reveals but cannot transform, the Word only reshapes us when we respond with action. This reflection is a call to spiritual integrity: to live what we profess and let obedience become the fruit of true faith.

He Sees You Starting Over | Your Nightly Prayer

Starting over isn’t easy. Whether it’s a new job, a relationship, or an unexpected life change, new beginnings can feel overwhelming. In this evening's prayer and devotional, Scripture reminds us that God treasures even the smallest steps forward. Britt Mooney reflects on Abraham, who was called to begin anew at eighty years old. What looked like uncertainty became the foundation of God’s promises to His people. In the same way, our fresh starts, however small or stressful, are never insignificant when placed in God’s hands. God often works through humble beginnings so that His glory shines through. Just as He multiplied loaves and fish, He can take your new season—no matter how fragile—and grow something beautiful and eternal. Don’t despise the small starts. Trust Him to be faithful with them.

A Prayer for When Support Fades | Your Daily Prayer

There are seasons when the people we counted on—friends, family, mentors—seem to step away. Whether through misunderstanding, distance, or disappointment, the support we once felt slips away, and we’re left wondering how to carry the weight alone. But Scripture reminds us that God never leaves us, even when others do. 📖 “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” — Psalm 27:10 📖 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 📖 “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 Today’s prayer invites you to bring your loneliness to the One who sees and stays. God knows your pain. He’s not surprised by the silence or the absence—and He will sustain you through it.

Landlord Walks Tenant Down the Aisle in Beautiful Wedding Moment

A landlord walked a tenant down the aisle in a beautiful wedding moment. Be sure to grab the tissues before checking out this story because it'll likely cause your eyes to spring a leak. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to hear why a landlord gave a tenant away at her wedding.

Every couple's wedding day is a massive step. Those two people stand at an altar in front of God, their family and their friends and vow to remain together regardless of what life may throw at them. They promise each other that only death will separate them. What could be more beautiful than that?

Weddings are beautiful ceremonies, meant to be remembered and cherished for years to come. Those pictures and videos captured that day will be looked back upon fondly decades later. Nearly every aspect and moment of a wedding ceremony is significant and carries special meaning. In a clip posted on YouTube, a bride explains why she involved an unexpected individual during an important moment during her wedding.

Shacole Fox was set to get married, and everything was perfect. However, something was missing. She explains that she did not know her father, so she was unsure who would walk her down the aisle. The video explains that it became incredibly painful when she thought about that moment.

But then something unexpectedly beautiful and loving happened. Her landlord, 79-year-old Gil Pulliam, said he had an idea that Shacole was stressing out about that moment during her upcoming wedding. So, he asked if he could escort her down the aisle. Shacole responded immediately and enthusiastically, "Yes."

Shacole recalls that moment when Gil walked her down the aisle, saying it was "like a wound had been healed in her heart."

What an absolutely wonderful, beautiful and touching moment. I'm not sure anything will if that doesn't move you to tears.

Galatians 6:10 "So then, as we have the chance, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the family of the faith."

Young Woman Explains How Christ Brings Transformation and Hope

A young woman explained how Jesus Christ brings transformation and hope. She shared her testimony and mentioned how He changed everything in her life. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear her story and how Jesus Christ transformed her life.

We are all sinners. The Bible makes this completely clear, leaving no room to argue otherwise. The book of Romans mentions that all have sinned and fallen well short of God’s glory. We’ve all willingly turned away from Him and His commands, choosing to go about things our own way.

Of course, intentionally going against and ignoring God’s directives and commandments is sin, and the Bible also says that the wages of sin is death. However, Jesus Christ is the one and only factor that can and did change everything. He willfully died, while we were still sinners, giving of Himself so that we might experience eternal life. He gives hope where there is none. He offers love and forgiveness when we deserve condemnation and to be cast out.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young woman, Madison Prewett Troutt, formerly a contestant on “The Bachelor,” shared how the Lord came into her life and entirely changed everything. He did only what He could do. He accepted her as she was and forgave her, despite her sin and brokenness.

“Jesus Christ changed my life,” she said. “He has absolutely changed my life in every single way. Like, you want peace? Jesus.  You want hope? Jesus. You want love? Jesus. And so many of us are searching for those things, and it can only be found in Jesus.”

Later in the clip, she mentioned that because people look and search for all those things in the wrong places, they are drawn deeper and deeper into sin. But regardless of what we’ve done, we can always turn to Him.

“But I have found true life in Jesus,” she added. “And that’s what I would say, I can preach, and I can teach, and I can encourage from a place of authority because He’s changed my life.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The Father's Love Won't Let Go | Your Nightly Prayer

There are moments in life when we feel too far gone, too broken, or too overwhelmed to believe God is still holding on. But the truth of Scripture reminds us: our Heavenly Father never lets go. His love is not based on our performance, emotions, or circumstances—it’s rooted in His unchanging character. 📖 “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.” — Lamentations 3:22 📖 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life... nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God.” — Romans 8:38–39 📖 “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.” — Psalm 27:10 Tonight’s prayer invites weary hearts to rest in the truth that God’s love is constant—even when ours wavers. He is always near, always faithful, and always reaching for you.

A Prayer to Honor Grandparents — Thanking God for Their Wisdom, Faith, and Legacy

Grandparents hold a sacred place in many of our lives. They are often the prayer warriors, the encouragers, and the steady hands guiding generations with grace and wisdom. Whether biological or spiritual grandparents, their legacy of faith matters deeply in the Kingdom of God. 📖 “Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” — Proverbs 17:6 📖 “Tell your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children to another generation.” — Joel 1:3 📖 “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” — Proverbs 16:31 Today’s prayer expresses deep gratitude for grandparents and asks God to bless them, strengthen them, and help us honor their lives with love and respect.

The Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant is one of the most iconic and mysterious artifacts in the Bible. More than just a golden chest, it was the sacred dwelling of God’s presence among His people—representing His covenant, His holiness, and His mercy. In this video, we explore: What the Ark was and what it contained Why it was central to Israel’s worship and identity How it foreshadowed Jesus Christ as the ultimate fulfillment of God’s promise 📖 “There I will meet with you... I will speak with you from above the mercy seat.” — Exodus 25:22 📖 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.” — Hebrews 6:19 The Ark reminds us that God desires to dwell with His people—not just in the wilderness tabernacle, but now through Christ in our hearts.

5-Year-Old Falls into Well, and Young Woman’s Actions Lead to Rescue

A 5-year-old fell into a well, and a young woman’s actions led to the youngster’s rescue. The girl heard a cry for help and sprang into action, not wasting any time. Watch the short but powerful clip about a young lady coming to the rescue of a child who had fallen into a well.

Children are supposed to be outside, playing and enjoying the great outdoors. Childhood is the time when youngsters should be able to live carefree and simply have fun. They should be outside exploring and learning. That’s what being a child and childhood are all about, right?

However, our world is a dark and dangerous place where even children can be easily injured or worse. Sadly, it seems that children have to be on alert, aware of the dangers that lurk around nearly every corner. A clip posted on YouTube shows how a little one was outside playing when disaster struck, but luckily, a hero was nearby.

The clip explains that a 5-year-old boy was playing outside, running around in the yard, when he fell into a well. The well, the video states, was massive, 30 feet deep. Soon after the child fell into the well, the boy’s mother began screaming and crying out for help, and an 11-year-old girl heard them. That’s when she wasted no time, acting quickly and retrieving a ladder.

The 5-year-old was able to grab hold of the ladder and climb out. Miraculously, the video states that the boy only suffered a few minor cuts and scratches.

That was a situation that could have easily been much worse. The 11-year-old girl is a true hero, racing to the scene to help the child and his mother.

In life, we will encounter situations and circumstances that might seem unbearable and as if there is no hope. Thankfully, our Lord and Savior can take those situations and bring about something beautiful.

Philippians 2:3 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.”

Robert Irwin Visits Father Steve Irwin’s Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Robert Irwin visited his late father Steve Irwin’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was visiting Los Angeles when he made a detour to the popular tourist spot, checking out his dad’s star on the sidewalk in Hollywood. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see Robert visit Steve Irwin’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

California is easily one of the most beautiful states in the country. There is literally every kind of landscape and climate. You can be up in the snow-covered mountains one hour and down in the hot and humid desert the next. There is countryside for those who prefer more rural settings, and massive cities for those who adore big, bustling, highly populated areas.

However, while California is a tourist destination for many, and deservedly so, Los Angeles is arguably the most popular city in the Golden State. It’s the city where many of your favorite films and television shows are produced, home to the massive Hollywood sign and it sits along the Pacific Ocean. However, the most popular attraction in LA is the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There you’ll find some of the biggest names in entertainment up and down the sidewalk, including Steve Irwin.

In a clip posted on social media, Robert stopped to check out his father’s star. He mentions that he had just gotten into town for “Dancing with the Stars.” It was a powerful and moving moment.

“Look who I found,” Robert says as he kneels by his late father’s star. “How cool is that? That’s so awesome! That’s so cool.”

That’s something that Robert and the rest of his family can always visit whenever they happen to be in Los Angeles. As Robert says in the video, how cool is that?

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old, he will not be turned away from it.”
