Paralyzed Father Of 6 Builds Spectacular Bedroom For Daughters

One paralyzed man, a father of six children, has built a spectacular bedroom for his daughters.

Life can and will sometimes throw you overwhelming and devastating situations. These moments, which can come without any warning, will change your life forever.

No one can predict the future. The only thing we can do is to continue fighting, not give in or fold up. It’s about making the best of the present circumstances. Sadly, another part of life is playing the hands you’ve been dealt and making the best out of even bad situations.

According to the video posted on YouTube, one man, Daniel Kotter, experienced a devastating and life-altering injury that left him paralyzed. In 2013, Daniel was working on a house before the accident.

He says that he was “setting the trusses for the roof,” took a couple of steps and then the next thing he remembers is waking up in the hospital. While in the hospital recovering, Daniel started considering his future as a paralyzed individual. What were the people who were paralyzed doing?

Daniel started looking online for answers but didn’t find much. However, that has not stopped him from continuing to build and work with his hands.

For over a year, Daniel worked meticulously, pouring his blood, sweat and tears into building an imaginative and spectacular bedroom for his daughters. In addition to the beds, he constructed a set of stairs in the room that folds up into the wall.

Daniel admits that putting his daughters’ unique bedroom together helped him in a variety of ways.

“It’s kind of challenging in a good way, mentally,” he said. “Physically, it’s such a positive beat for me. Like, I have extreme nerve pain. Anytime I can stay really active, doing something like that helps negotiate that down.”

Daniel did a fantastic job because the results are absolutely spectacular!

4-Year-Old's Unexpected Act of Kindness Changed Elderly Man's Life

A 4-year-old girl’s unexpected act of kindness dramatically changed an elderly man’s life.

There is a reaction to every action. Sometimes, those reactions and repercussions are simple, mundane and nothing too surprising. As we all know, that is usually what happens. However, sometimes, our simple, seemingly meaningless actions can have a massive impact, leading to a drastic and literal life change for someone.

A video posted on TikTok explains how a young lady’s simple actions in a grocery store changed the life of an elderly man. Dan Peterson, an 82-year-old man, had recently lost his wife and was experiencing a deep depression.

In the clip, Dan admits that he wasn’t really living and was waiting to die. For Dan, this dark period lasted for six months.

But a trip to the supermarket changed everything and led to a lifelong friendship.

The 4-year-old, Norah Wood, while sitting in a shopping cart, reached out to Dan and then asked him for a hug.

“This is the first time, for quite a while, that I’ve been this happy,” he said.

After that initial hug in the supermarket, the child started visiting Dan at his house once a week.

“She opened me to a love that I didn’t know existed,” Dan said.

Sadly, Dan passed away, and Norah was at this funeral, holding back tears.

A young woman’s simple action changed and brightened up a man’s entire life. We never truly know how much our actions could impact someone else’s life.

Telling those around us we love and appreciate them is excellent and should be something we all do regularly. However, those words are empty if we’re not really willing to back them up with any action. Actions really do speak much louder than words, and can change someone's life.

Longtime Married Rocker Jon Bon Jovi Shares Wisdom For Long-Lasting Marriage

Legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi, who has been married for over three decades, shared some wisdom for a long and happy marriage.

Marriage is one of the best things about life. There isn’t anything like sharing and experiencing life with the love of your life right by your side. They are there when you’re at your worst and when you’re at your best. They are a loving and helping hand when you’re feeling down and in need of a word of encouragement.

However, in addition to being one of the best parts of life, marriage is also one of the most difficult. Anything worthwhile is always challenging, including marriage. Life will unexpectedly throw difficult situations and circumstances in your way. These instances will test the strength and resiliency of that marriage relationship.

A long-lasting and happy marriage is something that everyone enters into that sacred bond desiring. But sadly, that does not always happen. In particular, celebrity marriages never seem to last more than a couple of years.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his wife have defied this trend. They have been married for 35 years. In a video posted on YouTube, Jon shared some words of advice for couples who recently said, “I do.”

Jon’s advice involved telling couples to embrace change and meeting difficulties together as a couple.

“It’s all about growing together,” Jon said. “You know, every day is going to bring you challenges, and you’re going to change over the course of 35 years. But growing together, I think, is the key to happiness.”

Jon’s words about relationships and marriage happened when he sat down for a Good Morning America “Ask Me Anything” session. The first question he pulled out of the hat was about achieving a long-lasting and happy marriage.

Groom Surprises Bride By Including Her Students With Down Syndrome In Their Wedding Ceremony

A groom brought his wife-to-be to tears while standing at the altar, surprising her by including her students with Down syndrome in their wedding ceremony.

Weddings are beautiful and often emotional events. They are a significant ceremony and moment in every couple’s life. They are when two people stand before God, their family and friends, exchanging vows and committing to remain together no matter what life throws at them.

With such significance involved in and attached to a wedding ceremony, it is entirely clear and understandable why someone may become emotional. It’s literally a life-changing event.

Yes, the bride and groom exchanging vows and saying, “I do,” is the most important aspect of a wedding ceremony. However, plenty of opportunities can and do take on an added significance during the ceremony.

In a clip posted on social media, a groom used an often overlooked and mundane part of a wedding to bring his bride to tears as they stood at the altar together. He involved the bride’s students with Down syndrome as flower girls and ring bearers.

Understandably, when the bride figured out what was happening, she immediately became overwhelmed, brushing away tears from her eyes. The children fitted in their best formal wear as they walked down the aisle and met their teacher and her future husband at the altar.

But the child didn’t just drop off their flowers and hand off the ring and take a seat. The video shows the bride and groom interacting with and thanking the children for participating in their big day.

It’s such a beautiful and touching moment. Even the most stoic and unemotional person would have difficulty not bawling their eyes out at that sweet and loving scene.

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love: true love has no room for fear, because where fear is, there is pain; and he who is not free from fear is not complete in love.”

Two Heroic Barbers Jump Into Action And Save Child From Walking Into Traffic

Two heroic barbers immediately emerged when they saw a youngster walking toward a busy intersection and saved the child.

Hero is a word that is used way too much today. It has been so watered down that the qualifications to become a hero are nonexistent. It’s an essentially meaningless term, mainly due to how excessively the word is used today.

For most of society, one must do only a few things to become a hero. First, getting elected to public office while promising that you’re the only one who can bring about good or change and then underdelivering is, surprisingly, a hero to some people. Other people believe those who catch a game-winning touchdown or score a certain number of points in a basketball game are heroes. Still, some individuals think someone on television who memorizes words written by someone else is a hero.

Of course, none of those types of people are heroes at all. They aren’t doing anything for the good of anyone else. They are acting out of selfish ambition and conceit.

However, a video posted on social media displays two men who are genuine, actual heroes. Two men in Connecticut were cutting hair in their barbershop when they looked outside and saw a girl running down the sidewalk by herself, headed right for a busy intersection.

Without thinking twice, they dropped their scissors and rushed out the doors. One of the men is able to reach the toddler seconds before she enters the busy intersection.

One of the men admitted that after seeing the little girl headed right for traffic, his first thought was about her welfare.

“My initial reaction, it was just, ‘I gotta get there,” he said.

They didn’t tell others how great they were or add points to a scoreboard. Instead, they saw a need and immediately acted without concern for their safety, thinking only about the child.

Outrageous grace

'Amazing Grace' is one of the most well-known and dearly-loved hymns ever written but everyone who has experienced or witnessed God's grace in action in their lives or in the lives of others would agree that such grace is surely much more than just 'amazing'. We congratulate musicians for an amazing performance, footballers for an amazing goal or friends for an amazing new hairstyle but find grace to be far beyond such an over-used adjective. For some people, grace seems so unfair, especially when shown to the worst of us that we can be outraged by what appears to be injustice. But God's grace is truly outrageous because our sin in so awful yet God's love is so great! Read the stories told in the Bible about forgiveness that show us grace which is beyond our comprehension - outrageous grace!

Passing Through

Life is short! The Bible tells us that we are like the flowers that we see in the fields; we're not around for long. But we also read of how God has made a home where we can be with Him forever. It can be ours because Jesus gives new life to anyone who trusts in Him as their Saviour. When we know who Jesus is and what He has done for us, we have a new future. While we are 'passing through' on our way to be with Jesus forever, He has also promised to be our Good Shepherd on that journey. That's the theme of this song based on Hebrews 11.13 to 16.

Nurses' Touching Gesture Celebrates Co-Worker's Graduation

A group of nurses recognized and helped their co-worker celebrate her graduation with a sweet and touching gesture.

Anyone alive for any significant amount of time knows life is full of requirements and obligations. We all have jobs, family commitments and other things that constantly pull us in a hundred different directions. This is a simple fact of life; everyone knows and understands it.

Of course, when everyone has so many obligations and requirements, some hard choices sometimes must be made. Some things are prioritized, while others must fall by the wayside or be ignored altogether. Family and work obligations sometimes precede things deemed less critical, like walking in your graduation ceremony.

However, a special and loving group of nurses would not let their co-worker miss walking in graduation. A short video posted on social media shows a young woman walking to the desk for an “emergency.”

But when she arrived, there was no emergency. Instead, she attended a makeshift graduation ceremony thrown by caring nurses in a hospital. Once the young woman reached the desk, she was immediately met by another woman who placed a “graduation cap and gown” on her.

She responds to the unexpected ceremony with a series of big smiles. The graduate is then sent on a walk through a hospital hallway lined with her co-workers clapping and celebrating her educational achievement.

According to the video’s caption, the young woman in the video was set to accept her master’s degree as the valedictorian of her class. Unfortunately, duty called, and she could not attend the ceremony. But her loving co-workers showed her how much they love and appreciate her.

That sweet gesture from those nurses helps bond people together, making them more than co-workers. People who know they are loved and appreciated at work will do more and stay longer than someone who feels they are simply filling a role or a job.

Robert Irwin Gets Emotional Discussing His Father's Impact On Others

Robert Irwin, the son of the late Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, got emotional when he talked about the impact his father had on the lives of others.

Death is a sad and painful part of life. Losing a loved one is never easy, and the experience will always result in a ton of hurt and heartache. That is especially true when losing someone as close as a parent or sibling. That sting will linger for decades and likely for the rest of your life.

Robert Irwin knows what it’s like to lose a parent. His father, Steve Irwin, was killed during an interaction with a stingray. At the time of his dad’s death, Robert was only a child. He, his mother and his sister were left to a brave life without their beloved father and husband.

Years after his dad’s passing, on a recent podcast appearance, Robert choked up when speaking about his father. He specifically talked about how his father had touched and impacted other people's lives.

He mentioned that he often has random people approach him and inform him how much they loved and adored his late father.

“This is probably the most powerful thing,” Robert said. “People will come up to me, and it’s, it’s a very emotional thing. And people will say, ‘I grew up without a father figure’ a lot of time, you know? People will say whether that’s through death, whether, you know, whatever circumstance, that these people will say, ‘I grew up without a father figure, and your dad, Robert, was, was a father figure to me.’”

Robert understands that he was incredibly blessed to have the father he had, someone who meant so much to others, even if it was just for a short time.

“I lucked out,” he said. “I really lucked out big time.”

Christian Musician Ben Fuller Shares Powerful Testimony: 'God Had Other Plans For My Life'

Christian musician Ben Fuller shared his powerful testimony, telling a crowd of concertgoers, "God had other plans for my life.”

God has an immeasurable and endless love for everyone and wants everyone to repent of their ways and turn to Him. He does not want anyone to continue in their lost and sinful ways and perish. However, we still have free will and have to choose God or not. He will not and cannot make that decision for us.

While everyone has free will, God still has a plan and a purpose for our lives. If we turn to Him and ask for forgiveness, He will slowly start to reveal His plan and will for our lives. Whatever His plans for our lives may be, they will always be better and more meaningful than anything we could have ever hoped to do on our own.

Ben shared his short but moving testimony in a clip posted on social media. He states that before coming to God, he was trying and failing to fill a hole, a void in his life with everything he could think of, including drugs and sex.

“But it didn’t stop there, 14 and a half years - cocaine, alcohol, sex - you name it. Everything to try and fill every void in my life, and nothing, nothing worked,” Ben said.

However, things soon changed when Ben moved to Nashville to pursue country music. The Lord had another direction for his life and musical pursuits.

“God had other plans for my life, and He knew I loved country music, and so He moved me down to Nashville, Tennessee,” he said. “I was going to sing country music for a living, but God had other plans for my life.”

Once in the Nashville area, Ben was invited to church. There, he asked the Lord to forgive him and repair his brokenness and hurt.

“I’ve tried it all, I’ve done it all, and when Jesus came into my life, oh, like a wrecking ball, He knocked out all that stuff, all that junk,” Ben said.

Young Woman's Moving Call To Late Mom To Inform Her Of Good News

A young woman called and left a message for her late mother to inform her of something good that recently happened to her.

Sadly, and ironically, death is a simple but horrible fact of life. It’s an inescapable part of being alive and being human. Everyone will, at one point or another, experience death.

Knowing that death is something that eventually comes to everyone means that all will have encounters with death before actually passing away themselves. This is by far the most challenging aspect of dying: losing a close loved one, like a parent. It’s an experience that will never get any easier, no matter how many times we go through it.

A sweet but heartbreaking clip shows a young woman, a medical student, who reached out to her mother to tell her that she had gotten into her top residency program. However, her mother, who she called and left a message for, had passed away.

Paighton Noel’s phone call follows a similar call she made to her mother in 2020. At that time, Paighton phoned her mother to let her know she had been accepted to the University of Utah’s medical school.

The aspiring doctor said that while some may believe her to be crazy for calling and leaving a message for her deceased mother, she knew she had to do it.

“So, it just felt like it would be crazy to not include her in that moment, even though it might sound odd to call my deceased mother,” Paighton said. “I just felt like I was missing my person, and my person’s my mom.”

While fighting through tears, Paighton left a voicemail letting her mother know she would be an OBGYN at UNC-Chapel Hill in North Carolina.

We can never be sure how much time we have left with our loved ones, so we must cherish every moment.

Fast Food Worker's Quick Response Saves Child's Life In Drive-Thru

A fast food worker’s quick-thinking and swift actions saved the life of a child who had become unresponsive while in the drive-thru lane.

In America, time is money. People are constantly trying to do whatever they can to maximize their time. The more we can accomplish, the better, right? We’ve even come up with a term defining how individuals do this: multi-tasking.

Fast food consumption is another method of maximizing and making the most of our time. Most Americans visit fast food establishments for a quick bite to eat. However, as a clip posted on social media displays, one woman got much more than that when she visited a Taco Bell.

Natasha Long was in a drive-thru at a Taco Bell in Pennsylvania when she experienced a parent’s worst nightmare. Her 11-month-old child stopped breathing and started turning blue. Natasha described her child as “lifeless” in that moment.

However, one Taco Bell employee was placed in the right place at the right time. The location’s manager, Becky Arbaugh, said she threw off her headset and ran out to Natasha and the unresponsive child.

Becky immediately started doing chest compressions on the infant. Moments later, Becky was able to get the child breathing again.

The child was rushed to the hospital and is said to be doing well. Natasha is, of course, eternally grateful for Becky’s heroic actions. But Becky said she was just trying to do what she could to help someone who badly needed it.

“I just thought of myself as a mom with another mom that needed help,” Becky said.

Bad things happen in life, and some of them are entirely unavoidable. However, God often places the right people in the correct position at the right time to help us through those trials and hardships.

James 2:8 “But if you keep the greatest law of all, as it is given in the holy Writings, ‘Have love for your neighbor as for yourself,’ you do well.”

Student's Generosity Toward Hungry Man Leads To Unexpected Blessing

One student’s love and generosity toward a hungry man resulted in a very unexpected blessing.

Anyone who believes that hunger is no longer an issue is badly mistaken. Sadly, some still are forced to go without food every day. Believe it or not, some of those individuals live in the United States. Yes, in the country where people develop diseases and conditions from overeating food, there are other Americans who fail to consume an adequate amount of food.

Many organizations are dedicated to feeding the hungry and eradicating food insecurity. Every little bit helps; everything can make a difference in someone’s life.

The only motivating factor when helping others should be improving someone’s life. However, as one clip on social media beautifully demonstrates, helping someone in need can have massive, unforeseen personal positive consequences.

The short, minute-and-a-half clip begins with one man approaching a student sitting at a table studying. The man approached the student and asked him if he had any food. He was looking for something to eat because he was starving.

Immediately, the student shows great concern for the hungry man. He looks through his backpack, but when he comes up empty, he offers to take him to a nearby Tim Horton’s and “buy whatever you want.”

The student informs the hungry man that his parents taught him to “not keep anyone hungry.” He is bound and determined to buy this man food, so they go to the coffee shop.

It’s also revealed that this student has been away from his family for eight months and has been unable to see them during that time because of travel expenses.

The student buys the man the largest coffee they sell. Immediately, the hungry man—who was not actually hungry—repays the student for showing him love and kindness.

He gave the student $2,000 to see his family in India.

The clip ends with the two sharing a loving embrace.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Ryan Reynolds Has Sweetest Conversation With Child During Hospital Visit

Actor Ryan Reynolds had what is likely the sweetest conversation with a child during a visit to the hospital.

Life is often an unkind and unfair experience. Some people are given pretty bad cards and can do nothing but play the hand they were dealt. Some people are given more than their fair share of issues and problems. They are forced to endure terrible situations.

Those sad, horrible and unavoidable circumstances may involve cancer or some other disease or condition. It’s always awful to watch a loved one go through something like that, knowing that there is little to nothing you can do to ease their pain. But it’s made much worse when the person inflicted with a debilitating or life-threatening medical condition is a child.

While we may not be able to alleviate their pain, we can still offer them love and kindness. That’s precisely what actor Ryan Reynolds did when he visited a hospital and visited with a young lady who had just undergone a bowel transplant.

In a clip posted on social media, the “Deadpool” actor kneeled and leaned onto Bella’s hospital bed, and the two had a cute and lengthy conversation. Topics included in their discussion included video games, hospital food and Bella’s surgery.

“Bella, did you have the transplant yet?” Ryan asks her.

“Yep,” she responds.

“And how’d it go?” he follows up.

“I can walk,” Bella says.

Later in their conversation, Bella adds that she can now eat, and her favorite food is a roast beef sandwich served by the hospital.

Ryan also asked the young lady how she handles a situation like that when she is about to undergo a massive surgery. Surprisingly, the little girl states in a way that shows it doesn’t affect her much at all. She does it.

What a strong little girl who has obviously been through so much but has not let it phase her.

Heroic College Students Rescue Mom And Two Children From Sinking Car

In a world where sisterhood is often celebrated for its bonds of friendship and camaraderie, a group of five heroic college students rescue mom and two children from a sinking car!

A group of five sorority sisters from the University of Georgia prove that sisterhood can also mean selflessness, courage, and heroism. Dubbed ‘The Fearless Five,’ Molly McCollum, Jane McArdle, Eleanor Cart, Clarke Jones, and Kaitlyn Iannace became beacons of hope and inspiration after their extraordinary act of bravery rescued mother Cori Craft and her two young sons from a sinking vehicle in a creek.

It was a fateful day as the sisters embarked on a journey to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and decided to take a detour to satisfy their craving for cheesy biscuits. Little did they know that their detour through a rural area would lead them to a moment that would define their lives forever.

As they drove, they witnessed a terrifying light and a cloud of dust, prompting them to investigate. What they discovered was a car sinking rapidly into the water, with Cori and her children trapped inside.

In a moment of instinct and compassion, the sisters sprang into action. Without hesitation, they called for help and plunged into the cold water to rescue the family. Despite the danger and uncertainty, they remained steadfast in their mission to save lives. As they quickly brought Cori’s older son to safety, the youngest remained trapped underwater, buckled in his car seat, his life hanging in the balance.

"Time is ticking. It had been like 4 to 5 minutes … it was just, like, every second mattered," Molly recalled of the scary moment.

With every second crucial, the sisters refused to give up. Drawing upon their collective strength and training, they worked tirelessly to free the young boy from his car seat. Clarke then began performing CPR on the little boy. And when all seemed lost, their prayers were answered as the boy started breathing again, a moment of sheer relief and joy for all involved.

Through the seemingly ordinary cravings of these extraordinary young women, God intervened to turn them into instruments of His grace and mercy. Their swift and selfless actions saved a family from tragedy and also served as a powerful testament to the strength of sisterhood and the guiding hand of God.

In a world often fraught with uncertainty, their story stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us that even in our most unexpected moments, God can use us to bring light and salvation to those in need. As we reflect on their heroic deeds, let us be inspired to embrace the call to compassion and kindness. We know that with God by our side, we, too, can become vessels of His love and instruments of His peace.
