In celebration of America's 250th Anniversary - and wanting to encourage every American to rediscover our foundation - Christians Engaged is proud to present - America Reads the Bible - a national Scripture-reading event and movement beginning on Saturday, April 18, 2026 and running through Saturday, April 25, 2026. Over 475 leaders from all spheres of influence will gather in Washington, D.C. to read the entire Bible aloud.
This week long Special Event begins with an Opening Celebration on April 18, with the week long reading of the Bible beginning on Sunday, April 19. 99.5 KKLA and 98.3 FM The Word will broadcast the Opening Ceremonies with a Special one and half hour program on Sunday, April 19 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
The entire week long Special Event will be Live Streamed on Great American Pure Flix - live from the Museum of the Bible. The Live Stream is free to watch. You’ll simply create a free Great American Pure Flix account to access the stream, and you do not need a paid subscription.
