There is always something sweet about hearing a loving mother speak or sing over her child.

In this video, a mom’s angelic voice calms down her crying baby. At first, a sweet young toddler is seen in a baby carrier in this clip. His face says it all. He is not happy one bit and his scrunched-up facials and cries cause anyone to calm him down.

As the boy is crying, all of a sudden the beautiful singing voice of his mother comes on from behind the camera. She sings a bit of the song, “For Good” from the hit musical Wicked.

Her skills are nothing short of Broadway and the little boy goes immediately from sadness to a big smile on his face. He giggles and grins as she sings. It is adorable. This short clip gives us a glimpse of how quickly our own emotions can change.

We, like this young toddler, can be thrown with difficulties and challenges in life and then hear a song that we love or experience a moment of happiness that completely changes our day.

The truth is that the Bible tells us that we are sung over by our Heavenly Father. This is even more wonderful than the mother in this video clip singing over her son. If we could stop and receive the joy that our God wants to share with us, we too can be given the strength to change our attitudes like the young toddler in this clip.

“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

God is good and He wants to to heal our land. But He is waiting for us to open up and joyfully receive more of His kingdom and presence into this realm (Jer 9:24, 2Ch 7:14, Amos 5:24, Mat 6:33).

This is a speedpaint rant (all be it a short one) about my distaste for the phrase "touch me" in worship music.

He can move mountains, and He can perform miracles. Written by gospel singer and songwriter Travis Greene, the song ‘Made A Way’ shares a beautiful message that inspires others when they are going through difficult times. God is always there and always near. He will make a way. In the Top 13 Live Playoffs on The Voice, Gymani performs ‘Made A Way,’ and her rendition showcases her beautiful and bright voice. Some of the judges are standing and swaying along to the song, and it is powerful to see her singing a gospel song on stage. She is sharing a moment of worship with the audience, and that is something that you don’t always see on television! “An absolute spirit filled voice,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “A vocalist. A worshipper. Unashamed of God. May His favor be upon you, Gymani. Beautiful,” writes another person online. Feel the spirit of Christmas as this father-daughter duo perform a special rendition of ‘Where Are You Christmas?’ This modern day Christmas tune was originally written for the 2000 movie ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas.’ The song was first performed by Taylor Momsen, who played Cindy Lou Who in the film. Later, it was recorded by country artist Faith Hill. “Where are you Christmas, why can't I find you, Why have you gone away Where is the laughter you used to bring me, Why can't I hear music play” You may recognize father-daughter pair Mat and Savanna Shaw from one of their many YouTube videos. The duo made headlines earlier this year when their performance of ‘The Prayer’ went viral. They’ve continued to create beautiful music together, including some Christmas favorites. Today, they are putting their own spin on ‘Where Are You Christmas?’ and it’s a stunning arrangement that will pull at your heartstrings. Just watch as these two beautifully belt out the beloved lyrics. “If there is love in your heart and your mind You will feel like Christmas all the time I feel you Christmas, I know I found you You never fade away” This Christmas season, remember that Jesus is the real reason that we celebrate. When we allow Him into our hearts, we will feel the love that we all seek. Not every couple has the gift and joy of making music together.

However, in this unique video, a husband and wife perform a beautiful duet to “Happy Christmas.” Peter Hollens starts out this video with strong vocal ability and confidence. His wife Evynne then appears singing with such joy and passion about Christmastime.

The two have true Christmas cheer on their faces and in their voices. We see the couple standing in front of snowy backgrounds and holiday lights. This clip gets you into the holiday spirit.

As the husband Peter takes the lead melody in the chorus, Evynne brings on the beautiful background harmonies. What I love about this video is that the couple appears to be having so much fun while they sing. Their big smiles and energy come across very clearly.

They end powerfully singing, “War is over now.” The Song “Happy Christmas” shares a powerful message. And so this is Christmas For weak and for strong, (War is over if you want it) For the rich and the poor ones The road is so long. (War is over now) War and battle are part of this sinful world.

Thankfully, the Lord has empowered us with the gift of the Holy Spirit to live in His peace no matter what our circumstances.

As believers, we can view this song in a different way. We can celebrate that the war for our souls is over because Jesus came to earth and died for our sins. Anyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.

This Christmas, may we celebrate the gift of Jesus and the peace and freedom we experience through Him.

This is one Christmas song that has been a classic for centuries. ‘O Holy Night’ is originally based on a French-language poem by poet Placide Cappeau that was written in 1843, and composer Adolphe Adam set it to music in 1847. In 1855, John Sullivan Dwight wrote the English version of the hymn that we sing today. As for Carly Pearce, she is a country music singer and songwriter, and her songs contain both traditional and country-pop music. She began performing in her teens and appeared on several bluegrass albums in the 2000s. Carly gained major recognition when she wrote the song ‘Every Little Thing’ in 2017 and secured a major record label recording contract. The singer Gabby Barrett is an American country music artist, and she was the third finalist on the sixteenth season of American Idol. As for the Christmas hymn ‘Silent Night,’ it was first sung on Christmas Eve 1818, in the church of St. Nicholas in Oberndorf near Salzburg. The words of ‘Silent Night’ were written by Rev. Joseph Mohr, a young priest in Oberndorf. He wrote them in 1816 as a reflection on peace after a summer of violence in Salzburg. Two years later, Joseph Mohr asked his friend Franz Xaver Gruber, a schoolteacher and organist, to set his words to music. When Joseph and Franz performed ‘Silent Night’ for the first time in 1818 at Christmas Eve Mass, it was an instant hit. The Christmas carol has now been translated into over 300 languages, and the first English translation appeared in New York City in 1851.
