Man Gives Orphan A Doll And She Cannot Contain Her Excitement

Check out this sweet video of a man giving an orphan a doll, and the little girl cannot contain her excitement. Bilal Erkus was at an orphanage in Nigeria, and he was playing with a little girl named Bedel. He had brought a surprise for her, and he asked her to close her eyes before the big reveal. When Bedel opens her eyes and sees that the gift Bilal was giving her was a brand-new doll, she couldn’t contain her excitement! A big grin flashes across her face, and she grabs the doll and brings it in for a tight hug. The little girl then starts giggling uncontrollably and it is just the sweetest sound ever! What a priceless reaction! And what a sweet moment shared between Bedel and Bilal. I’m sure it will be a memory that the two always cherish. May we always look out for the orphans and widows of this world, and show them the love and compassion of Jesus. James 1:22-27 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. 26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Romans 12:3-8 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

He has got control of it." “We need Your light, we need Your love To heal the world You made And save us now in our darkest hour With Your amazing grace Earth to God” John partnered with Samaritan’s Pure for ‘Earth To God’ and a portion of the proceeds will go to this faith-based organization. 'Shenandoah' Performance From Young Barbershop Chorus

Check out this performance of the song ‘Shenandoah’ from a young barbershop chorus. “Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you, away, you rolling river Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you, away, I'm bound away, cross the wide Missouri. Oh, Shenandoah, I love your daughter, away, you rolling river Oh, Shenandoah, I love your daughter, away, I'm bound away, cross the wide Missouri” The group singing this song is called the Young Guns Shenandoah, and this video was filmed in Orlando, Florida during the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2013 Midwinter Convention. All of the singers in the group have beautiful voices, and their lovely harmonies fill the room. And the song that they are singing is so peaceful sounding. ‘Shenandoah’ is a traditional American folk song that dates back to the early 19th century. The song appears to have originated with Canadian and US voyageurs or fur traders traveling down the Missouri River in canoes, and it has developed several different sets of lyrics. Some lyrics of the song tell the story of a trader who fell in love with the daughter of the Oneida Iroquois chief Shenandoah, who lived in the central New York state town of Oneida Castle. We hope you enjoyed this lovely performance of ‘Shenandoah,’ and it was able to bring you some peace today. Romans 8:1-6 1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Chance Encounter With Doctor Leads Amy Grant To Life-Saving Heart Surgery

A chance encounter with a doctor leads Amy Grant to a life-saving heart surgery! Amy Grant is a six-time Emmy award winner, and her music is inspiring and uplifting. Amy herself is said to have a heart of gold, but on this day she discovered that all was not right with her heart! One day, Amy accompanied her singer-songwriter husband, Vince Gill to his cardiologist appointment. He was there for a check-up, and Amy came along to keep him company and hear how he was doing. After he completed Vince’s examination, the doctor suggested that he check out Amy’s heart as well. Amy agreed to the physical examination, and what the doctor discovered changed Amy’s life. He sent her on her way saying everything sounded good. But the next day after the results came in the doctor texted Amy, “call me as soon as you get this text.” Immediately, Amy knew something wasn’t right. The doctor had discovered that Amy had a heart condition called Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (PAPVR.) PAPVR is when one or two of your pulmonary veins returns the oxygenated blood to the right atrium instead of the left, resulting in oxygen-filled blood circulating to the lungs and not the rest of the body. This meant that Amy needed surgery right away to get the issue resolved. She shared that the doctor told her this surgery was normally performed on two and three-year-olds when their condition was first discovered. . . or during autopsy of those in their sixties. “Well, let’s not do that!” said Amy, now 59 years old. When Amy was asked if she had felt pre-existing symptoms she claimed that after performances she “sometimes, I feel like I’m suffocating,” Amy said. But the feeling would quickly pass and she didn’t feel ‘bad.’ She never suspected that anything was wrong, so she continued her daily life. After Amy had undergone heart surgery, she says she feels a lot better. Amy is now living life to the fullest, and still performing around the country. When asked about Vince’s appointment, Amy said that her husband has a family history of heart attacks. She also said that when Vince would walk up stairs he said that something was wrong or didn’t feel right. But the doctor assured Vince that he was fine and needed to exercise more and have a healthier diet. Amy and Vince are living happily after such a scary discovery. They are both thankful they are able to continue living life as planned, and things worked themselves out!

ABC News Anchor Amy Robach Learns Of Cancer After Live Mammogram

Can you imagine showing up at work and receiving bad news? What if that news was delivered to you on live TV? That was what happened when ABC News Anchor Amy Robach learned of cancer after a live mammogram! “My first guest is one busy lady,” Ian Smith, host of The Doctors, said before welcoming Amy Robach onto his show. Busy was an understatement. He cited her work as a journalist, her work with Good Morning America, GM3: What You Need To Know, and 20/20. She balances her schedule by planning time for projects and herself, and prioritizing exercise. Amy joined Ian to highlight her good practices of self-care, but also another important issue. They talked about her life-saving discovery of when she found out she had breast cancer. Amy received her first live mammogram on Good Morning America. She learned she had stage 2 of an invasive breast cancer. When this new information she underwent chemotherapy and double mastectomy. Only after these procedures was she declared cancer free. Ian began his interview by asking Amy, “What does Robin mean to you?” She felt like she owes her life to Robin Roberts, who also works for ABC and Good Morning America. “Well, Robin saved my life. And for that I will always be eternally grateful. She inspires me everyday. I used to look at her before I realized I, too, would become a cancer thriver and think, wow, look at that woman, battling bravely, not once, but twice. And still coming to work, still bringing that smile, still reassuring Americans about the world we live in, and look at what she’s personally battling. And I didn’t even realize how incredibly difficult and heroic that was until I myself went through it.” Amy sees her role similar to what Robin did for her, “inspire other women to save another woman’s life.” She “saw everything in slow motion” when she was first diagnosed with the initial malignant tumor. “I didn’t think cancer could happen to me.” Cancer did happen, but she survived. Since that time Amy has been a role-model for other women inspiring them to do what may feel overwhelming in the moment, but could save their very lives in the long run.

Crowd Forms Around Teen Violinist Playing 'A Thousand Years' On The Street

Birds fly overhead, the sea breezes blow, and a crowd forms around a teen violinist playing ‘A Thousand Years’ on the street. Who else wishes they were there to hear this beautiful song from The Greatest Showman? Karolina Protsenko steps into the spotlight as a young girl with undeniable talent. You would think so, too. Just watch her string together music effortlessly. As people on the streets take notice of her, she also gains a lot of popularity online. The teen violinist has a number of cover songs she has created with her instrument. Her ability to string music together so masterfully at such a young age is quite impressive. One commenter on her video said, “She: plays violin. Me: can’t even do the dishwasher.” Another wrote, “The way she moves when she plays, it shows just how much she loves doing what she does, and how into it she is. Can't get much better than that!” The crowd in the video is definitely impressed with her ability. All listen, some even record with their phones. People pass by in the background, but even they can’t escape the sounds resonating in the air. In this video, she performs alongside two companions, Imanielijah who is drumming, and Kiev Morales who too plays a violin. In their cover performance, there are no lyrics, but their ability to convey the song easily allows those listening to sing along if they wanted. And Karolina does not simply play her instrument either. She engages in a bit of dancing as she spins and steps across her impromptu stage. She smiles confidently and never misses a moment to capture the sound from her violin. Upon her musical conclusion, the crowd has grown and they give the performers well-earned applause. Seeing a talented teenager is refreshing! She is someone who is making a name for herself by serving others through her art. If she already finds such success at her young age, can even you imagine what the future will hold for her?

Psalm 95:1-7 1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

2 Teen Street Buskers Sing Billy Joel's 'Piano Man'

Check out these two talented teen street buskers singing Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ in the streets of Ireland. “He says, ‘Son, can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete, when I wore a younger man's clothes’ La, la, la, di, dee, da, la, la, di, dee, da, da, dum Sing us a song, you're the piano man, sing us a song tonight Well, we're all in the mood for a melody and you've got us feelin' alright” The two teens are named Allie Sherlock and Cuan Durkin, and they take turns singing the verses of the song and then join together during the chorus. Both of them have wonderful voices and look like they have a great time performing together! “Hi guys, watch my fellow busker friend, Cuan Durkin, entertain a crowd in Dublin City, Ireland,” writes Allie in the caption of the YouTube video. “We sang ‘Piano Man’ by Billy Joel, but he decided to change some of the lyrics and make some fun of my dad who is behind the camera.” Halfway through the song, the guy playing the piano for them has a great solo. They all are such a talented bunch of performers! And onlookers on the street stop off on the side to enjoy the lovely show. “This was fun to watch,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “These two are really good in their own rights and they're really in tune with each other.” “I like them both, great natural sounding talent and the free-spirited way in which they delivered their song,” writes another person on YouTube. “Thank you both, for your time and love of the craft.” We hope you enjoyed this fun video and the performance of ‘Piano Man’ made you smile!
