The first in a series of short stories from 29 years as pastor, as well as nearly four decades of ministry in education, working with the homeless, in correctional facilities, and life in general.

There's a quiet magic in the simple act of a father bringing his younger daughter flowers. It's not just about the blooms themselves; it's about the love, tenderness, and unspoken bond shared between a father and his little girl. Don’t miss this sweet moment when a daughter is emotionally overcome after Dad’s heartfelt present. 

It must’ve been a long day for the young lady in this video. Growing up has its growing pains as girls navigate the world of school, friends, assignments, anxiety about clothes, boys, keeping their room clean, and so much more. We will never know what this sweet little girl was thinking as she was sitting alone at the counter in the kitchen. But the miracle-melting moment that unfolded on camera will capture your heart. Dad walks in, still wearing his work clothes, and sees his daughter in the kitchen. In his hands are a stuffed teddy bear and a bouquet of brightly colored flowers. As he presents them to his daughter, she holds her breath and the bear before bursting into tears of gratitude. 

In one sweeping moment, she looks up into her daddy's eyes and stands to hug him. In the tender moments when a father presents his daughter with a bouquet, it's as if he's offering her a piece of his heart. Each petal whispers his affection, hopes, and dreams for her. For in his eyes, she is a precious gem, a treasure to be cherished and protected–just like our heavenly father views each and every one of us. 

The bond between a father and his daughter is unlike any other. It's a bond woven with laughter, shared secrets, and endless cuddles. From the first time she wraps her tiny fingers around his to the moments when she seeks his guidance and reassurance, their connection only grows stronger with time.

For daughters, their fathers are more than just protectors; they are beacons of strength and pillars of support. Dads are the first men they will ever love, and their influence shapes the way they view themselves and the world around them. In the warmth of their father's embrace, daughters find solace, comfort, and unwavering love.

With their wide-eyed innocence and boundless love, daughters hold a special place in their father's heart from the moment they enter the world. Thank God for the gift of family, the protective love of fathers, and a simple gift of flowers.

Check out this heartwarming story about retired Eagles star Jason Kelce, granting the final wish for a dying fan and her family.

Mary Lou Carey was a huge Eagles fan and had a soft spot for former center Jason Kelce.

“She called him her young boyfriend,” said Jill Carey, the daughter of Mary Lou.

Mary Lou's dying wish was to be buried in her Jason Kelce jersey. When her family heard this, they knew they wanted to make it even more special for her. That’s when they took to Facebook to see if anyone could connect them to Jason Kelce to see if he could sign the jersey.

Not only did Jason Kelce end up signing the jersey that Mary Lou was eventually buried in, but many other Eagles players signed it as well. And the family was able to get the jersey back in time for Mary Lou’s funeral, complete with signatures from the players of her favorite team. What a sweet act of kindness!

“He’s all about the fans and the community,” shared Jill about Jason Kelce. “He goes the extra mile. And that’s why everyone loves him.”

Many people shared online their appreciation of Jason Kelce when they heard about this news story.

“Jason Kelce has a heart of gold!” one person wrote on YouTube.

“What a genuinely great man!” another person commented online. “Thank you, Jason Kelce. Your kindness and empathy will always be with her family. You’re a legend in all of the best ways. #62!”

Jill Carey also shared some sweet sentiments about her mom online and why she was such a big fan of Jason Kelce. “My mom was a truly wonderful woman. She would always do for others, expecting nothing in return, giving everything she had to whatever task she was doing, and working hard her entire life,” Jill Carey said. “I think that’s part of the reason she loved Jason so much. He is a true class act! He put a huge smile on her face in her last days, and seeing this done for her gave us some light during our sad time.”

What a great story that reminds us all of the importance of kindness and being there for your community.

In a heartwarming tale of bravery, a young man’s quick actions save his classmate’s life. You won’t believe what 8-year-old Trey Lewis knew what to do. He emerged as a hero alongside his teacher for assisting him. God works in mysterious ways, often using ordinary people, including children, as vessels for His extraordinary miracles. Throughout history, we see countless examples of everyday individuals, young and old, guided by faith and empowered by God's divine grace, accomplishing the seemingly impossible. From a child’s simple act of kindness that ripples into profound moments of healing and transformation to instances of extraordinary bravery and selflessness in the face of adversity, God's handiwork is evident in the lives of His faithful servants.

The miracle moment of today’s story unfolded during lunchtime at the second-grade corridor, where Trey, with remarkable alertness, noticed a fellow student choking on a granola bar containing cashews. 

Rushing to Assistant Principal David Ravida, Trey's urgent plea for help set a chain of life-saving actions into motion. Ravida swiftly intervened, clearing the obstruction from the choking student's throat, yet sensed something more was amiss.

 With lightning speed, staff recognized telltale signs of a severe allergic reaction and administered life-saving treatment with an EpiPen. David, acknowledging Trey's heroic act, emphasized that heroes come in all forms, whether students, nurses, teachers, or principals. 

The collective efforts of these unsung heroes ensured that the stricken student received timely care, with Trey's selfless actions at the forefront of the rescue. With a modest grin, Trey reflected on the life he helped save, a testament to the profound impact of his bravery and the importance of being vigilant about allergies.

When he was asked about the harrowing moment, Trey said, “If feels that I saved his life.”

This heartwarming story serves as a poignant reminder of the invaluable contributions of healthcare professionals and the everyday heroes who embody the spirit of compassion and heroism in our communities. As we navigate life's journey, may we remain open to God's call to be instruments of His miracles, trusting in His plan and embracing the opportunity to be His hands and feet in a world in need of His love and redemption. Through the eyes and actions of children, we are reminded of the purity and boundless potential of faith, making each miraculous moment even more heartwarming and inspiring.

“The Office” star John Krasinski was moved to tears by the kind and loving words from fellow “The Office” star Steve Carell.

The words people say to one another are powerful and can and do significantly affect their lives. Everyone can easily recall those moments and words whether those words were uplifting, encouraging or negative, hurtful or stung. The words we say to one another matter, and that’s a statement with which there should be no disagreement. 

In a clip posted on social media, John recalls a moment during an interview when Steve’s words impacted him and brought him to tears. They were kind, loving and completely unexpected. 

John tells Gayle King that he wrote a character in a script specifically for Steve to play. After agreeing to play the part in the movie, John and Steve had a small “The Office” reunion. Hugs and pleasantries were exchanged. But at one point, unprompted, Steve mentioned how proud he was of John and his work since “The Office” ended.

“So, he walked in, and I had this big smile,” John said. “I thought we were going to laugh, and he came up, he gave me the biggest hug. And he looked at me like a brother and said, “I just wanted to say how proud I am of you.”

Steve added that he has loved everything that John has written and directed.

John said this loving and unexpected compliment brought tears to his eyes. He said those kind words “meant the world because that’s family.”

Words—good or bad—are powerful. They can either build up or tear someone down. An unexpected compliment or a cruel, cutting word could affect the day, week or even someone else's entire life. Choose your words carefully. Once they leave your mouth, you’ll never be able to take them back. 

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only what is good for giving necessary teaching, and for grace to those who give ear.”

This is a unique song where I literally had the lyrics pressing in on my mind without knowing what they were about. This happened during a time when I was seeking God for an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that are spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12. So I wrote them down with the music in a matter of minutes and wondered what this song was about. A week and a half later, a couple who were friends of ours, gave birth to a premature baby who ended up dying that day. I read these words to the father over the phone and he wept, believing they were given just for them. This song has gone on to impact others in other situations profoundly as well. Originally recorded in 1991, we re-released this song in it's original version on our 'Best So Far CD' in 2013. We hope this song blesses you as well. Mr O aka kamal Imani shares his life success lessons

In a heartwarming display of kindness, two police officers turned a routine 911 call into a heartwarming celebration with a cupcake and candles for a special needs man named Chris on his 25th birthday. Instead of merely responding to the call at midnight, Officers Israel and Frank went above and beyond to ensure that Chris felt special on his special day.

When Chris dialed 911, he had a simple request: He wanted someone to wish him a happy birthday. Little did he know that his call would prompt a heartwarming response that would touch the hearts of millions, even though it was the early hours of the morning. 

Upon arriving at Chris' home, Officers Israel and Frank knew they couldn't "show up empty-handed." They stopped at a store to pick up some treats, including a cupcake, candles, and warm wishes.

As captured by the officer's body cam, the surprise encounter unfolded with smiles and laughter. Chris greeted the officers with a smile as they presented him with the birthday treats. They sang "Happy Birthday" as Chris beamed with joy, blowing out the candles with enthusiasm.

The simple act of kindness brought tears to Chris' eyes as he thanked the officers for making his birthday unforgettable. At that moment, he felt appreciated and loved, surrounded by the warmth of strangers who had gone out of their way to make him feel special.

This heartwarming gesture reminds us of the power of kindness and compassion in our everyday lives. As Proverbs 11:25 reminds us, "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." In this instance, Officers Israel and Frank exemplified the true spirit of generosity, bringing joy and happiness to Chris on his birthday.

Their actions serve as a poignant reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact on others. As we navigate life's challenges, let us always strive to extend kindness and compassion to those around us, spreading love and joy wherever we go.

An elderly man amazingly snagged a 16-pound bass with his bare hands.

Everyone has pastimes and hobbies. Life can physically and mentally tear people down. Doing something, really anything, for a couple of hours to escape those stressors and problems is a must. Those activities give us some time to recover, relax and think about something else for a while.

Those pastimes and favorite activities vary from person to person. Some people enjoy picking up and reading a book. Others enjoy going on a run through their neighborhood or a nearby park. Writing or painting might be something others prefer to do in their spare time. Even taking a short, several-hour nap can do a lot of good. 

Another relaxing pastime activity that is quite popular is fishing. When most people imagine fishing in a pond, lake or ocean, they probably envision having a rod and reel and casting it into a body of water. Then, it becomes a waiting game, hoping to fool a fish into taking the bait on the hook. 

Well, one man has a different way of fishing. As a clip posted on social media shows, he requires next to no equipment. All Robert Earl Woodward needs is a small, tiny piece of bait and his bare hands. 

The video shows Robert leaning over a deck as he holds a piece of bait and moves about in the water. After several moments of repeating this motion, Robert attracts a fish's attention. Then it’s go-time as it becomes a battle of man versus beast.

The fish puts up quite the fight, but Robert ends up victorious, successfully snagging a massive 16-pound bass.

But Robert does not intend to keep the creature. As the clip ends, Robert releases the fish back into the water.

Ezekiel 47:10 “And fishermen will take up their places by it: from En-gedi as far as En-eglaim will be a place for the stretching out of nets; the fish will be of every sort, like the fish of the Great Sea, a very great number.”

I wrote this song years ago after hearing stories from people who came to my church of abuse that they had suffered. Today, around the world, Christians suffer and are even tortured and killed because of their faith. Our hope is that this song would give comfort, strength and courage to those who suffer at the hands of others in the world. Jesus suffered horribly on our behalf in order to bring the power of darkness and to offer us a future and a hope. May you find that hope and healing in Him - Dan Adler. One man with Down syndrome has achieved a marathon milestone, completing the world’s top six marathons.

People can be needlessly cruel. They will say or do harmful, painful and damaging things to others for no apparent reason. Even if people don’t intend to be cruel, their words and actions can have a long-lasting impact. People may not do something because of what someone said to them in the past.

Sadly, in addition to being coldhearted and cruel, individuals can be dismissive and closed-minded. Most people don’t seem able to look at someone and see their potential. Instead of saying what they can do, they will often look at someone and state what they can’t or will not be able to do or achieve.

Chris Nikic and his father know this situation all too well. Chris is an athlete and has Down syndrome but has not let his condition or other people’s opinions or hurtful words keep him from achieving something no one else has done.

According to a video posted on YouTube, Chris recently became the first person with Down syndrome to participate in and finish the world’s top six marathons. Chris set the world record in March when he completed the Tokyo marathon.

The clip adds that Chris is also the first person with Down syndrome to take part in and complete an Ironman triathlon. 

Chris’s father understands that people can be cruel, but instead of letting their hurtful words stop them, they have used those remarks as motivation.

“When Chris was born, everyone told us all the things he couldn’t do,” his father said. “And part of the reason that we go all over the world, and we do so many events, it’s an opportunity to show other parents like me and my wife that there’s hope and that their kids can do amazing things and live an amazing life.”

People look at others and see what they cannot do, but God looks at someone and sees their heart,  potential and what they can do.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

One young woman’s remarkable recovery ended in victory after tripping and falling during a race.

Life is a series of often unexplainable and unpredictable ups and downs. Some situations and circumstances will throw your entire world into chaos, and you won’t see them coming. Many of these instances will be immensely painful, resulting in terrible grief and heartache. Some may even feel that they can't go on any longer. 

As painful as it may be, and even though life can and will cause you to stumble and fall, knocking you down, giving up is never an option. Persevering through those trying times and hardships is the only way. We never know what’s on the other side and how God will use that trial to bring about good in your life and those of others.

A clip posted on social media shows a young lady participating in the 100-meter hurdles race during a track meet. The short, 15-second clip begins with her way out in front of the pack, as she easily moves over the hurdles.

But then she encounters trouble. As she continues the race, her foot clips one of the hurdles, causing her to tumble forward, sending her face-first into the next hurdle. 

However, the young woman doesn’t stay down long. She immediately gathers herself, gets back up and continues running and jumping over the hurdles. 

Despite her fall, she perseveres, finishes and actually ends up winning the race. 

In that short 15-second clip, that young lady demonstrated a ton of character and a refusal to give up when things became difficult, which literally sent her to the ground. We’d all be much better if we had that level of tenacity and perseverance during life’s trials and hardships.

We really never know what may happen and what God will do if we keep going and don’t give up. 

1 Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not see that in a running competition, all take park, but only one gets the reward? So let your minds be fixed on the reward.”

A song about forgiveness. Christians aren't people who are perfect or always consistent, nor are we people who hope to have our good deeds outweigh our bad deeds before God. We are people who have One who atones for our sins as we humble ourselves and confess them to Him. Jesus Christ's death on a cross made atonement for those who receive Him and He invites us to boldly come to Him to receive grace and mercy in our time of need. He is our Hope and Salvation so that even when we fail, we can find peace, hope and even joy in coming to our Savior to receive what only He can give. From the CD 'Songs for the Battle'. While we were recording our Native American flute and guitar CD, "Wind of the Spirit", Sandy wrote this beautiful melody on the flute. It was so lovely and sad at the same time, that we decided to entitle it 'Trail of Tears' in reference to the tragic forced relocation of Native Americans in the early 1800's and also to the path to His crucifixion that Jesus walked in order to redeem sinful people like us. Actress Golden Hawn turned kitchen chores into a dance party as she showed off her quick-footed moves.

Most people, if not everybody, dread household chores. Who really enjoys doing the laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the windows or scrubbing the floors? They are obligations, and no one likes feeling obligated to do something. Regardless, they are necessary activities that need to be completed to have and maintain a clean and properly functioning household. 

But just because they are tasks that must be completed doesn’t mean you can’t find a unique and creative way to make them fun, right? You might as well try to make the best of them. Moaning and complaining about doing chores doesn’t do anybody any good. You’ve got to do them anyway. 

In a clip posted on social media, actress Goldie Hawn found a way to make doing the dishes much more fun. She added a few dance steps as she scrubbed, dried and then put dishes away. 

The clip begins with the “Overboard” star rinsing and drying a couple of cups while she dances around the kitchen to “Hey Ya!” by Outkast. She then grabs a plate and dances her way to a nearby cabinet, putting it in its place. 

But Goldie isn’t by herself. A young man is helping the “Private Benjamin” star with the dishes in the kitchen.

Goldie understands that just because washing dishes is a chore, it doesn’t have to be a tedious, mundane and dreaded process.

“Washing dishes doesn’t have to be a chore, it can be a dance!” Goldie writes in the video’s caption. “It’s all up to us.”

Also, Goldie isn’t the only famous face in the short clip. Right before the end of the video, fellow actor and Goldie’s longtime partner, Kurt Russell, can be seen dancing along to the tune. 

Psalm 30:11 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing: you have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness.”

The “smallest baby ever born” in a suburban Chicago hospital has finally gone home after spending the first six months of her life in the medical facility, and her story is a miracle for sure. 

Children are one of the Lord’s biggest blessings. Becoming a parent and welcoming a child into your life will forever change you and how you view the world. Things that seemed like a big deal will be much less critical when you are entrusted with taking care of a little one.

However, every pregnancy is different and has its own complications and precautions. A team of dedicated doctors and nurses will guide and support that mother and father-to-be throughout the process. But there are limits to what those medical professionals can do, and sometimes, the Lord will have to come in and perform a miracle or two.

Nyla Howard was born at just 22 weeks. A YouTube clip describes her as a “micro-preemie.” Her lungs were underdeveloped, her skin was still translucent and she weighed as much as a can of soup. 

The child was delivered so early because her mother had been diagnosed with preeclampsia. 

The clip adds that little Nyla was only given a 10 percent chance of surviving. But that precious little child beat those odds, and she is now at home with her parents, having left the hospital after six months. She left the medical facility weighing in at 10 pounds. 

One of the doctors on the child’s team said she came out crying, calling her a fighter right from the start. 

Nyla’s mother is thankful for her little miracle baby.

“I just don’t have the words in all honesty,” Nyla’s mother said. “We’re just super grateful that she’s here, she’s healthy and she’s doing amazing.”
