Excited Bison Enjoy A Snow Day

There’s nothing quite like a snow day. People enjoy time off from school and work while they play in the snow or snuggle up indoors under blankets. Even one of God’s grand creatures--the Bison is enjoying a snow day. But this guy isn’t just happy about it, he is downright excited and it shows. We know penguins, snow leopards, and polar bears love the snow. But who knew a creature of the Midwest would love wintry weather too? In this cute video, a passerby sees a bison run, romp, and frolic in the snow as more than four inches of snow accumulated on the ground. He stands for a moment and exhales and the frigid winter air condenses the moisture to fog. He dips his head and trots despite his fur being caked with ice and snow. He snorts, frolics, and romps, on and on! The plains are blanketed in snow and he’s acting as if it’s just another fun day of winter recess! Despite roaming vast distances in the Northern Great Plains, bison do not move south as the weather grows cold, though they may move to lower elevations where snow is not so deep. Temperatures will plummet to well below zero but these massive animals weigh up to 2,000 pounds and were created for this kind of weather as you can see in this video! This little clip reminded the viewer of God’s majestic beauty and playfulness. Later, it quickly went viral because of the Bison’s apparent joy of the falling snow. One spectator said, “Love it! Playing, rolling, dancing around. Then he looks at you and... "I'm just strolling along here.” Another wrote,” Thanks for posting this! I’m so jealous that you have Bison near your house. Alas, I must be satisfied with squirrels near my house.” While Lady Serena added, Is it wrong that I kept going “almost big guy, almost” every time they tried to roll over, lol.” I think we all agree with her it was comical to watch this fella roll and romp but never quite making it in terms of rolling over. Who’s ready for a snow day? “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold, Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear. Like the cold of snow in time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.” Proverbs 25:11-13

Dog Waits Outside Hospital Every Day Until Owner Recovers

There’s an old saying, “Patience is a virtue.” One dog showed her display of patience by waiting outside the hospital everyday for her owner. There was no telling when he would be released, but this canine companion didn’t care. She desired to be reunited. There’s another popular saying, “Dogs are a man’s best friend.” This story proves that there is much truth to that sentiment. Boncuk showed her faithfulness to her human owner by doing something some humans don’t even do. She began waiting outside of a hospital after seeing her owner be driven away in an ambulance. First, she chased after the ambulance. When she arrived at the hospital she waited outside for her owner to come out. He didn’t. Eventually, her human family took her back home. However, being home was not an option for this devoted dog. Boncuk left and went right back to the hospital, again waiting. And still, her owner was nowhere to be found, so she simply waited at the doors. People passed by the dog, and still she kept on waiting. Unbeknownst to Boncuk, her owner was recovering inside. After her owner recovered enough, he was finally released from the hospital where his furry friend was waiting. And she wasn’t just waiting, Boncuk was happily waiting. After he passed through the hospital doors, Boncuk began prancing around enthusiastically at the sight of her owner. Where she was once very still, she then burst with energy. Finally, they could be back together. “She’s very used to me and I miss her too, constantly,” her owner commented after being discharged. He was also excited for his reunion with Boncuk, smiling as he spoke. Boncuk modeled both love and patience for her owner, that maybe we as people can take pointers from. “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

15-Year-Old Sings Inspiring Cover Of 'Small World' By Idina Menzel

15-year-old Reese Oliveira showcases her vocal talent with this stunning rendition of ‘Small World’ by Idina Menzel. And, for the first time, we see Reese’s amazing dance skills to compliment her powerful voice. “I'm brushing off the rain While climbing through the clouds Nobody can see me No one can hurt me now” Young Reese Oliveira is a talented singer and performer. You may recognize her as a member of the viral Rise Up Children's Choir. Their incredible covers of songs such as ‘Show Yourself’ and ‘Thankful’ have garnered the group over 16 million views across social media. Now, Reese is stepping out on her own with this beautiful performance of ‘Small World’ from Tony award-winning artist Idina Menzel. This song also marks Reese’s first solo dance video. But Reese is no amateur. On YouTube, we learned more about her dance background. Reese “is a member of the Lone Peak Chevaliers (Drill Team), and a member of Lone Peak Musical Theater Productions Company. She has extensively trained in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance at Barlow Arts Conservatory.” And when you combine her powerhouse vocals with inspiring choreography, it is a perfect combination. “Goodbye, gravity Goodbye, enemies I'm going up to a place where the world is small Where I can fly above it all” Reese may be just a teenager, but she is already talented beyond her years. There is no doubt that we will be hearing more from this rising star for many years to come. What song do you hope Reese performs next?

'Take Me Home, Country Roads' Performance At The Grand Ole Opry

Listen to this wonderful version of 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' performed at the Grand Ole Opry by Dailey & Vincent along with Jake Hoot. “Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze Country roads, take me home to the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads” This great performance was part of the Grand Ole Opry's live broadcast on January 16th, 2021. And Opry members Dailey & Vincent along with Jake Hoot sound so good singing together! Their harmonies are wonderful. At the end of the song, they all sing a cappella with just the sound of clapping hands. And they sound just as great without the music playing in the background as they do with it. Jake Hoot is a country singer, and he was the winner during season 17 of The Voice. Dailey & Vincent is a bluegrass music group composed of Jamie Dailey, Darrin Vincent, Aaron McCune, Josh Cobb, Patrick McAvinue, Shaun Richardson, Bob Mummert, Gaven Largent, and Blaine Johnson. Between all of them, they have guitar, bass, vocals, mandolin, fiddle, drums, banjo, and piano all covered. The song ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ was written by Bill Danoff, Taffy Nivert, and John Denver about West Virginia. It was released as a single performed by John Denver on April 12, 1971, and it became one of Denver's most popular and beloved songs. Now people all over the world know this song, and most people can sing along to all the lyrics. We hope that you enjoyed this wonderful rendition of 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' by Dailey & Vincent and Jake Hoot and the performance was able to bring a smile to your face today!

Dad Moved To Tears When Toy Puppy Turns Into Real Dog

Here’s a perfect video to remember the holidays. A father finds himself teary-eyed when a toy puppy becomes a real dog. The transformation was almost magic! The father, who lives in Idaho, was reclining on the couch spending time with his family. Off-camera, his daughter says, “We’re not here for me. We’re here for you.” Robbin, the father, had longed for a puppy for years at that point. That yearning gave this family a great idea, one that would truly surprise him. His grandson walked up with a nicely wrapped red Christmas present. Robbin took the gift and unwrapped it immediately. Afterward, his daughter came up behind the recliner and helped him read the note on the package. The note read, “Hi. I’m so excited to finally meet you. I’ve been waiting a really long time.” It continued, “My name is Blade. I can’t wait to be your shotgun rider, your best friend, and forever companion. Merry Christmas, Dad.” “Love, Blade and Keennebug,” the note finished. Robbin then opened the package and pulled out a black toy dog. “That’s for your truck,” his daughter said. “Cool,” he responded casually. This dog was a replacement for one he had before that was less realistic and very worn out. If the gratitude didn’t show then, along with the tears, there was another surprise. His daughter asked him, “Dad. You know how in the Night of the Museum everything comes to life at night?” “Yeah.” “Isn’t that based off a true story?” Robbin thought to himself, likely trying to figure out if this was a trick question. She asked again, and he answered, “I don’t know.” In the background, one woman holds a puppy in her hand, and he was completely oblivious. His tone and response are definitely comical because he doesn’t know what’s coming. His daughter continued, “Well, the reason I ask is ‘cause if it’s not, then how is this possible?” The woman handed him the puppy. “Here’s your boy. There’s your Blade.” His face reddened and his eyes brows tightened. He was definitely moved at the sight of the dog. This time the dog was real. From there Robbin went silent, turning his attention to the pup, and letting his emotions run free. His family watched and recorded, laughing with joy at the sight. This heartwarming sight is a great display of what family is all about. During a time where many stand divided, this family here stands united, sharing love with one another and even adding a new four-legged family member into the fold. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

2 Storks Share Adorable Celebration After Laying An Egg

Finding out you are going to have a baby is exciting news regardless of what species you are. Watch these two storks’ adorable reaction to seeing their egg for the very first time. The stork is a beautiful white colored species of bird native to Europe and parts of western Asia and Southern Africa. With a wingspan of over seven feet, the white stork is a massive yet highly graceful bird. Although white storks do not always pair for life, they are monogamous breeders, only having babies with one partner in their entire lives. These birds will usually breed in areas with access to marshy wetlands and will proceed to build nests out of sticks in which to raise their young. Many storks will choose to build their nests in small colonies where they can remain safe in the proximity of other stork families. In this clip, we can see a stork pair spending a seemingly uneventful night in their nest in the Czech Republic. The pair is being monitored on a twenty-four-hour live stream camera watching the nest in night vision when suddenly the pair is joined by an unexpected visitor. We see the female stork, Bohunka, shake and stand up seemingly startled, exposing a large white egg where she once sat. Bohunka then proceeded to stare intensely at her little creation, and was soon joined in her examination by papa stork. After the two got a good look at the new member of their family, they celebrated together by quickly clapping their bills open and closed and tilting their heads back, a typical but adorable communication method for white storks. There is one question that still stands though… if storks deliver human babies, who delivers stork babies? "Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him." Psalm 127:3

Emotional Strong Man Audition Leaves The Judges In Tears

An emotional Strong Man audition leaves the judges in tears, and when you see it you’ll understand why. As usual, the show Got Talent has its share of surprises. But no one saw this coming on the premiere. Breakdancer Youcef Mecheri, aka Bboy Haiper, disabled from birth, auditions and leaves the judges in tears. Youcef has always been different. Born in Algeria, he moved to France to follow his dreams of being a professional dancer despite the fact his legs do not work because of scoliosis. He fell in love with break dancing at the age of 13. He believed he was created to dance. So, instead of using his legs, he uses his hands. His dance moves involve walking, spinning, and so much more on his hands. When he started his career as a breakdancer, he took on the name Bboy Haiper and he says he brings all of his emotions to the dance floor. Even though he couldn’t walk as a child, he is now a competitive breakdancer. Carried by the sheer strength of his arms, Bboy auditioned on France’s Got Talent even though he was told that he couldn’t make it on the stage because he uses crutches and his legs don’t work. Yet, God helped open the doors to this amazing dream and he was allowed to audition and his performance was greeted with a standing ovation! Bboy tells a story about being a young Algerian boy whose parents invested in his dreams to dance. The judges were not only blown away by his incredible and emotional performance, they were brought to tears because his performance included so many barriers, obstacles, and the opinions of others that he couldn’t be a dancer. Yet, Youcef defied the odds and proved every person on God’s earth has an incredible purpose. He is proof God created each of us in his image! “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them;male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

2 Teens Sing Beautiful Duet Of 'The Prayer'

The voices of two teens fuse to perform a beautiful duet of ‘The Prayer’. ‘The Prayer’ has been sung by many, but is probably most famous for the beautiful duet by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. This worship performance of the classic song comes from the show Fairytale of Waterford, delivered to us by Mount Sion Choir. They posted their video just in time for the new year of 2021. In the video description they write, “Happy New Year to you all, thanks for all the support and hopefully 2021 will be a better year for everyone xxx”. This talented choir finds home in Waterford, Ireland. And in this video we see two of their young members sharing their voices with us. The boy we see on the left is Kingsley Ekedozie and the girl on the right is Niamh Mcknight. The scene in the video is unsurprisingly decorated nicely with religious and festive imagery. They filmed at a local church called The Sacred Heart. In the video description the choir writes, “Thanks to Father Chestnutt for allowing us into this sacred space.” The choir used the space well, giving us powerful voices to listen to and be reminded of our Lord. However, this performance did not come easy for the choir. By their own admission, this song was difficult to sing. “The Prayer is hands down the most difficult song we have ever tried, we nearly gave up so many times. Teacher Elaine Ryan made us persevere at the song and there was such a sense of achievement when we finally got it right.” Their efforts to conquer the song paid off, and now we have been blessed with this beautiful tune. As they say in the song, may we too find God’s light as we enter into the year of 2021.

Boy Breaks Down After Hearing Late Grandpa's Voice In Teddy Bear

Some of this young boy’s memories will fade over time, others will remain, but this grandson can’t help but break down after hearing his grandfather's voice in his teddy bear. You see, this sweet moment was even more poignant since his grandfather passed away. The special teddy bear even shares the same nickname as Ryan’s nickname ‘Bubba Lou’ for his late grandfather, Terry. “I miss him so much” the young boy said through tears and a strained voice. Ryan’s mother, Jessica Turpin, explained how Ryan gave his grandad the nickname. “So he goes by Terry, but he started to call Ryan, Bubba Lou, when Ryan was little. Um and so, when Ryan first started talking, he would just say, ‘Bubba Lou,’ because he associated it with grandpa.” Ryan has a leukemia diagnosis, which he received in 2018. Ryan’s grandfather helped make Leukemia all the more manageable with his emotional support. Terry was a very loving and involved grandparent. He spent a lot of time with Ryan and his brother, taking them to sports games and getting in a lot of quality time before his eventually passing. The beloved and active grandfather’s death was not foreseen when it happened. Back in March of 2020, Terry contracted the coronavirus and became ill. After two months of bravely battling the illness, he sadly passed away. Jessica had the unfortunate duty of explaining Terry’s death to Ryan. He didn’t take the news well. To help her son cope, Jessica came up with the idea of using voicemails she had of Terry saved on her phone. She compiled the recordings and sent the material to Build-A-Bear. They sent back a bear with the grandfather’s voice. According to his mother, Ryan was comforted by the voice of Terry coming from the bear. The sight of the child crying is heartwarming as it is heartbreaking. The COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of pain and suffering, including death. May we all be comforted by the fact that though our circumstances and seasons of life are in a constant change, Jesus is always the same. May our knowledge and awareness of Him comfort us when we experience such hardships as Ryan. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8

Pan Flute Performance Of 'When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder'

Listen to this beautiful pan flute performance of 'When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder' by David Döring. “When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more, And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair; When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there. When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.” David is playing the pan flute in this video, and the instrument has such a peaceful sound when it’s played. While he is playing 'When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder,' he starts to play the song faster and in a higher key as it continues on. ‘When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder’ is a hymn from 1893, and the words and music are by James Milton Black. The song has since been translated into at least 14 languages and sung all over the world in a variety of Christian denominations. And there are more than 500 versions of the traditional tune recorded by various artists such as Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Jim Nabors, and Willie Nelson. David Döring shares about his affinity for the pan flute on his YouTube page. “At the age of 6, I started taking violin lessons at the music school. At the age of 12, I heard the best known and best pan flutist, Edward Simoni, play,” he writes. He was so influenced by that performance, that David switched from playing the violin to playing the pan flute. “Since then I have devoted myself exclusively to this fascinating instrument,” he shares. “It is important to me to reinterpret old and well-known songs.” We hope that you enjoyed this lovely performance and it was able to brighten your day in some way!

Youngest Gaines Joins Chip And Joanna On Newest Season Of Fixer Upper

Chip and Joanna Gaines return to our televisions with a helpful, new assistant for the latest season of Fixer Upper. It’s been a few years since Chip and Joanna decided to step away from television and their hit show on HGTV. After five successful seasons, they decided to take time to focus on their family. But it you thought they were just relaxing, you would be so wrong. During that time, Chip and Joanna welcomed their fifth child, Crew, to the family. They also opened a shopping destination complete with a restaurant and coffee shop and became frequent collaborators with stores such as Target. But their fans have been eager to see them return to television. Thankfully, that wait is finally over. Chip and Joanna teamed up with Discovery Inc., who owns HGTV, to create their lifestyle channel, Magnolia Network. The channel premiered in January and this new network will feature new episodes of Fixer Upper, as well as other original productions. And while we’re all looking forward to seeing Chip and Joanna back in their element of demo and design, this season they have a new addition. “Back in the day, Drake, who is now our oldest, was Crew. And he was just with us. It’s almost like we’re taking a trip down memory lane.” In this adorable clip, we see Crew on the job sites with his parents and he definitely isn’t afraid to get down and dirty! If this glimpse is any indication, I think this might be the best Fixer Upper season yet.
