Broken Roots Duo Performs For The First Time Together During AGT Audition

The duo of Broken Roots impressed the AGT judges with their Bon Jovi cover during their very first performance together. Joey Kar and Austin Edwards both have a law enforcement background. And that is what ultimately brought them together. Before the audition, Austin shared that “In our jobs, we see a lot of things that, quite frankly, we don’t want other people to see and our outlet became music.” The two men were both performing as solo artists in the same locations. When they took notice of one another, they decided to combine their talents and created Broken Roots. But the biggest surprise of all is that they have never performed on stage together. Joey said, “Literally, we met six months ago and this will be the first time we will play together, ever.” These men had nothing to worry about because their passionate performance of ‘Dead Or Alive’ from Bon Jovi was an absolute hit. “It's all the same, only the names will change Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away Another place where the faces are so cold I drive all night just to get back home I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive” After the performance, the judges were in agreement that Broken Roots deserved to move on. They truly put their heart and soul into this song and it showed on stage. Now, the duo has another chance to fight for the winner’s title on America’s Got Talent and claim the one million dollar prize.

'Orange Blossom Special' Southern Raised Bluegrass

The talented siblings of the Southern Raised Bluegrass perform a rousing rendition of the classic tune ‘Orange Blossom Special.’ This favorite was originally released in 1938 and it has been covered by countless artists through the years including Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels. “Look a-yonder comin' Comin' down that railroad track Hey, look a-yonder comin' Comin' down that railroad track It's the Orange Blossom Special Bringin' my baby back” Siblings Lindsay, Sarah, Emily and Matt make up the Southern Raised Bluegrass band. The group was raised in the Ozark Mountains and they have blended their traditional music upbringing with multiple genres and their deep-rooted faith. They describe themselves as creating a ‘Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads. SR has morphed a progressive sound that spans Christian Country/ Bluegrass, Celtic and Classical.’ Today, they’re taking on one of the most popular bluegrass songs of all time with ‘Orange Blossom Special.’ And when you hear their rendition, you’ll be toe-tapping along in no time. “Well, I'm going down to Florida And get some sand in my shoes Or maybe Californy And get some sand in my shoes I'll ride that Orange Blossom Special And lose these New York blues” It’s so amazing to see the next generation continue the bluegrass tradition. This is a beloved form of music that we don’t hear nearly enough. I hope we continue to hear more from these siblings. Who else was singing along to the words of this classic tune?

String Musicians Ember Trio Light Up The Stage During Britain's Got Talent Audition

The talented men of Ember Trio made quite an impression during their audition on Britain’s Got Talent. Ember Trio is comprised of violinist Elliot and cellists Tom and Chris. After forming, the group started to upload unique covers to YouTube. The group quickly garnered millions of views and went on to perform all over the world. On their Facebook page, they describe their musical style. “Ember Trio combines a unique blend of classical and contemporary production elements which have elevated them to become Europe’s most successful classical crossover string trio.” Today, they are taking their musical talents all the way to the Britain’s Got Talent stage for a chance at the winner’s title. And as soon as these three men started to play, we all knew it was going to be epic. It truly sounded like the soundtrack to a movie and the visual elements added a dramatic touch. After the performance, the entire theater was on their feet and cheering. The judges had nothing but good things to say about the trio. Judge Amanda said, “I got goosebumps all over me from the minute you started. I thought that was such a great act.” Simon Cowell gave them the ultimate compliment when he said, “I think you guys have got the talent and also amazing creativity.” The men easily earned four yes votes from the judges and they will move on to the next round of competition. I am so excited to see what this trio comes up with next.

Stunning Daddy-Daughter Duet To 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'

This talented daddy-daughter duo warmed the hearts of the world with their rendition of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’ This iconic song was released in 1969 by the popular duo Simon & Garfunkel. Over the years, many artists have lent their voices to this tune with notable performances from Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin and Andrea Bocelli. There is no doubt that this song has truly stood the test of time. It’s combination of difficult notes and poignant lyrics make it a one powerful number to perform. “When you're weary, feeling small When tears are in your eyes, I'll dry them all (all) I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough And friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down” Father-daughter pair Mat and Savanna made headlines earlier this year when their performance of ‘The Prayer’ went viral. Now, they’re back with another classic cover and it might be even better than their first. After Savanna first heard this iconic song, she knew that this should be their next cover. She wrote about the inspiration behind the performance on YouTube. “My mom has always reminded me that “We rise by lifting others.” We are entirely free to support and celebrate our fellow men on this life journey; to encourage, lead, learn from, and love. Be a bridge over someone’s troubled water, and you’ll soon find that that by doing so, your cup was filled, too.”

Amazon Delivery Driver Prays Over Packages And Doorbell Cam Catches It All

It was a heartwarming moment captured on camera when this Amazon delivery driver prays over a package. Monica Salinas was delivering medical supplies to a house in Nampa, Idaho when the sign on the door stopped her in her tracks. The note explained that these deliveries were for 8-month-old Lucas Pearson, who suffers from a congenital heart defect. This means he is at a very high-risk for contracting COVID-19. Parents Raquel and Derek posted the thank you note on the front door to let workers know of their appreciation during these unprecedented times. When Monica saw the note, the doorbell camera captured her stopping and saying a prayer. “God, Heavenly Father, please protect this family, help them get through another day, please don't let them go without and baby, just grow up to be strong. And then I said ‘Amen’ and I blessed myself and got on my way.” When she spoke to Inside Edition, she said, “that's the kind of stuff that makes my heart cry and I felt the need to pray.” The family was touched by the prayer and shared the video online. The moment quickly went viral with many people commenting on Monica’s uplifting spirit in the face of many troubling days. This is such a beautiful reminder that it only takes a moment to spread kindness and joy in a world that is desperately in need of positive news. We are lifting up the entire Pearson family in prayer and giving thanks for good people like Monica.

Trained Pigs Pork Chop Revue Bring The Laughs On America's Got Talent

On America’s Got Talent, trained pigs part of an act called Pork Chop Revue brought the laughs for the audience and judges. Les Kimes and his wife, Nina, are from Florida and they brought their pig family to the America’s Got Talent stage to show off some tricks. The pigs even dressed up in some cute costumes for the occasion! Before the audition starts, one of the pigs roll out a long, red carpet. Then the different pigs, all ranging in size, performed tricks like jumping over hurdles, rolling barrels, and even pushing a baby pig in a stroller! The impressive and comedic elements of the audition sure brought a smile to the faces of everyone watching the performance. And the act showed just how intelligent pigs are. They can be trained to do so many things! Les’s father started Pork Chop Revue back in 1956, and he showed his act on Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin, and Mike Douglas’ shows. Les has been involved with Pork Chop Revue since he was a child, and he took over the show when his father died in 1979. Before bringing Pork Chop Revue to America’s Got Talent, Les has brought the act to festivals, fairs, and theme parks all over the country. It is exciting to see that this family act that has been around for decades is now being introduced to a new generation. And what a better way to do that than through American’s Got Talent, one of the most-watched shows on television! By the looks of the judges and the audiences’ reaction, Pork Chop Revue was a success and brought laughs and smiles to all that viewed the audition! Les and Nina must be so proud of their sweet pigs, and we hope that they continue on in this competition.
