In this powerful performance, America’s Got Talent contestant Cristina Rae earns herself the golden buzzer after Simon gives her a second chance to sing.
Before her audition started, Cristina Rae shared that she has been performing all her life, and she feels that performing on AGT is going to change her and her son Jeremiah’s life.
“He’s the reason I’m here,” the Nashville native says. “I need this to change my life. As you can see, I’m a single mom, and I was living in my vehicle while pregnant.” Cristina Rae then goes on to share that she now lives with family, but she has bigger dreams for her and Jeremiah. “I want him to have his own room. I want us to live in our own home.”
At the start of her audition, Cristina Rae sings ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins.
“I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord”
What an incredible and powerful voice she has, and the audience was clearly impressed!
But Simon wanted to see more, and he asked Cristina Rae if she would sing another song for the room.
“I want you to imagine that you’ve just done the concert, and this is the encore moment,” Simon says.
Cristina Rae then goes on to sing ‘Gimme Shelter’ by The Rolling Stones. Everyone is amazed by her performance, and Simon’s jaw even drops as she finishes up her second song. The whole auditorium gives her a standing ovation! What a phenomenal voice!
“There is absolutely no point making shows like this, unless we find people like you,” Simon says to her.
“I think that you are absolutely out of this world. My heart is racing for you right now, it really is,” says Heidi Klum. “Are you ready for this right now?” she says to Cristina Rae while she points to the golden buzzer. “Because I’m ready to push this button for you!”
As Heidi jumps up and down and pushes the golden buzzer, tears start to fall down Cristina Rae’s face as the golden confetti falls to the ground. She is completely overwhelmed and falls to her knees as Heidi comes up on stage to give her a hug. And then her son runs on stage to join her. What an incredible moment! And we can’t wait to see more of Cristina Rae in the live shows on AGT!
One 14-year-old named Kelvin Dukes stuns the audience on America’s Got Talent with his incredible performance of ‘Ain’t No Way’ by Aretha Franklin.
“Ain't no way for me to love you if you won't let me
It ain't no way for me to give you all you need
If you won't let me give all of me”
Before his audition, this young man from Maryland showed off his outgoing personality during his interview.
“I say I’m crazy! You know, I like to have fun,” Kelvin says. “You know, I’m wild. I might talk a lot. I’m a little talkative.”
“Kelvin has a lot of personality,” his mom shares. “When he gets up in the morning, he’s singing all day, every day.”
“He keeps us busy,” says Kelvin’s dad while chuckling.
“This is his dream!” his mom says. “I can’t believe he’s here and in front of Simon! I’m very proud of him.”
As Kelvin takes the stage, Simon asks him where he thinks he sees himself in the next five years if he were to do well in the competition or win this season.
“Definitely still singing, still doing music,” Kelvin explains. “But I also want to become a dentist in the future as well.”
As he is performing, the audience and judges are loving his soulful and powerful voice. He is incredible! And he exudes such a sweet confidence while up on stage.
“This is a young man who believes in himself,” writes one person on YouTube. “That will take him far in life.”
“His enthusiasm, his energy, his self-confidence is so pure,” comments another person. “It pulls you in.”
After he finishes singing, Kelvin gets a standing ovation for the audience and the judges. May he continue to do well in this competition, because his bright spirit is one that we want to keep on seeing!

Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up

Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know”

Enjoy this new upbeat and uplifting song called ‘Look for the Good’ by Jason Mraz.
“Look for the good in everything, look for the people who will set your soul free
It always seems impossible until it’s done, look for the good in everyone
People done gone crazy, people done gone mad
People done forgot the superpowers we all have
We were born to love not hate, we can decide our fate, and look for the good in everyone and celebrate all our mistakes, if there’s a silver lining, you still have to find it”
In the music video, Jason Mraz is performing the song at a recycling plant and around a forest. While he is dancing and singing in different environments, he reminds us all to keep an eye out for people who are doing good in this world. What a beautiful message! And a great reminder to think about as we go about our days.
The song ‘Look for the Good’ is Jason Mraz’s new single, and it will be included on his new album when it is released this summer. His music always brings so much joy and is sure to make you smile!
May we continue to look for the good in this world, as well as be the good. Let us love our neighbors well and be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are here to share God’s love and shine a light in the darkness, and may we focus our actions on doing just that each and every day.
Galatians 6:9
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11

A finalist on The Voice France belts out an incredible rendition of ‘Hallelujah.’
Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ is one of the most popular songs of all time.
The powerful song was originally released in 1984, but it wasn’t until Jeff Buckley released the song on his 1994 album, ‘Grace’ that the song really started to gain momentum.
Since that time, it’s become a worldwide phenomenon and cementing itself in music history. Over the years, many artists have covered this powerful song, which sounds like a perfect blend of a rock ballad and a gospel song.
Some notable covers include Bon Jovi, Pentatonix and Susan Boyle.
“Well I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah”
Today, Antony Trice is singing ‘Hallelujah’ during the semi-finals of The Voice France. As he steps up to the microphone, he flawlessly hits every single note of this iconic tune.
