Astronaut On The Masked Singer Performs 'You Say' By Lauren Daigle

A secret celebrity belts out the Christian song ‘You Say’ while they compete as an astronaut on The Masked Singer. In 2018, this song became a smash hit for Christian artist Lauren Daigle. The inspirational lyrics remind us all that God is with us each and every day. “I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know” The Masked Singer is a unique singing competition that features celebrities from every genre in entertainment. But the hook is that we have no idea who is singing. Each contestant wears an elaborate costume that conceals their identity and they will only be revealed if they are eliminated from the competition. Today, one of the talented contestants, dressed as an astronaut, stood on the stage and belted out the words to ‘You Say.’ “You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak And you say I am held when I am falling short And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours” With very little fanfare, this celebrity’s vocals truly had a chance to shine. Even though I have no idea who is underneath the mask, they obviously have a ton of talent. And their song choice was perfection! Who do you think is the astronaut?

4-Year-Old In The Grocery Store Starts Heartwarming Friendship With Elderly Man

A heartwarming friendship started up when a friendly 4-year-old spotted an elderly man shopping in the grocery store and asked for a hug. How precious! Norah Wood was with her mother, Tara, and the pair were going through the food aisles of their grocery store in Augusta, Georgia. While Tara was pushing Norah around in the cart, Norah noticed an elderly man, Dan Peterson, as they were making their way around the corner. She quickly reached out to Dan and said “Hi, old person!” while waving enthusiastically. Immediately after her greeting, Norah asked Dan for a hug. Dan smiled from ear to ear and wrapped the little girl in his arms. Without Norah knowing it, she was showing Dan love and kindness during his darkest days. His wife had just died, and he was feeling very depressed. Dan expressed that meeting Norah and the hug that she gave him was the first time he had felt happiness in quite a while. “His little lip quivered, and he was tearing up. And it was just sweet,” said Norah’s mother. After Norah got her hug from Dan in the grocery store, she asked her mom to take a picture of her with her new friend. And this friendship lasted years past that grocery store encounter! Over the next few years, Dan and Norah got to see each other about once a week! Dan was there for Norah’s kindergarten graduation, and Norah was able to take many strolls with Dan through his garden. Even the day before Dan died last month at the age of 85, Norah was able to visit him and give him one last hug. This sweet friendship just shows off humanity at its best! And reminds us all how important it is to love one another and be loved.

2 Wheelchair Dancers Stun Melissa McCarthy On Little Big Shots

In a beautiful performance on Little Big Shots, two wheelchair dancers stun Melissa McCarthy with their talents. Little Big Shots is a show created by Ellen DeGeneres, Melissa McCarthy, and Ben Falcone that celebrates a new generation of remarkable young people. In this season, Melissa meets with some of the most inspiring, talented, and hilarious little kids from all over the world. The kids share their remarkable stories on the show and show off their unique talents for the audience. According to their YouTube page, the show is “a celebration of how resilient, funny, and inspiring kids can be when we allow them to be unabashedly themselves. They may be little, but their hearts are big.” In this portion of the show, Mayli and Chelsie Hill perform an inspiring wheelchair dance routine. The song that they are dancing to is “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman. “When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me” The powerful lyrics in this song match the powerful performance that these girls put on. At one point during their dance, a large banner comes down from the ceiling with phrases on it that say, “she can’t,” “confined,” “poor quality of life,” “will never,” and other negative phrases. Then, the younger dancer, Mayli, rips the banner apart and moves forward on the stage as the audience cheers. As the girls are spinning around the floor, they hold up signs that say “strong,” “capable,” “beautiful,” and “brave.” It is empowering to see, and the audience is on their feet clapping and cheering for the girls. “That was just amazing. An incredible dance,” Melissa McCarthy says after their performance. “There’s one more thing…our very good friends at Caulipower are donating $10,000 to you and your family so that you can keep on dancing and inspiring us all. Because we need you to keep doing your art.” What a beautiful sight to see that these girls don’t let their disability keep them from doing what they love and sharing that joy with others!

NASCAR Driver Ryan Newman Speaks After 'Miraculous' Survival From Crash

NASCAR driver Ryan Newman is giving credit to the angels after surviving a fiery crash during the Daytona 500. On February 17, 2020 Ryan was entering the final lap of the annual stock car race when trouble started. Ryan was in the lead but after a bump from the driver behind him, Ryan’s car went into a spin that included going airborne. After landing upside down, officials raced to extricate Ryan from the fiery vehicle. He was quickly taken to the hospital where he was said to be in serious condition. Footage of the wreck had many people gasping and praying for his safety. But after just two days in the hospital, Ryan was released with zero broken bones or serious ailments. Aside from a ‘bruised brain’ and some bumps and bruises on his body, Ryan was otherwise in great shape. Recently, he sat down with The Today Show to discuss the incredible recovery and give credit to the real Healer. "Just a miracle on so many levels, and thankful for so many people for prayers, for all the things that went into me being safer in that situation." Ryan went on to say that so many things lined up perfectly to result in him sitting here today. "The angels aligned and held a really good grip with their hands.” And if you’re wondering if Ryan is nervous about returning to NASCAR, the answer is a resounding ‘no.’ After explaining that racing was a part of who he is, Ryan is anxious to get back into a car and go racing.

Opera Singer Takes On Andrea Bocelli Classic During The Voice Blind Auditions

Mandi Thomas gives the coaches an unforgettable blind audition when she belts out the opera classic ‘Time To Say Goodbye.’ This song was originally released in 1995 by award-winning musician Andrea Bocelli. But it was his 1996 duet with Sarah Brightman that propelled the song to greatness. “Time to say goodbye Paesi che non ho mai Veduto e vissuto con te Adesso sì, li vivrò, con te partirò Su navi per mari che, io lo so No, no, non esistono più It's time to say goodbye” Today, classically trained singer Mandi Thomas is putting her own spin on this tune as she auditions for The Voice. Opera singers are rare on the singing competition, so the coach were all ears when they heard Mandi. Afterwards, newest coach Nick Jonas commented on the unique performance. “I had goosebumps the entire time. I don’t know a whole lot about opera, although I’m a fan of yours now,” he said. “You are exactly what this show needs.” Kelly Clarkson was the only judge to hit her button and turn around. It was a ‘heaven-sent’ moment for her. “I was singing in a shower going, ‘Please, God, like, I just want someone to come on and sing opera.’” And Mandi was overjoyed to be the newest addition to Kelly’s team, sharing that while she is classically trained, she can also sing other genres. Kelly said, “I’ll let you sing whatever you want, but I do think that we should visit this often. Because it’s gorgeous and it’s different.” This is definitely a competitor we’re going to keep our eyes on.

Wheelchair User Marna Michele Unanimously Earns Ticket To Hollywood

27-year-old Marna Michele easily earned her ticket to Hollywood after an incredible performance of ‘Million Reasons.’ Marna has been an American Idol fan for years. “I have daydreamed about getting a golden ticket since I was 12. This is where my future starts. I truly believe that.” But getting to this point wasn’t easily. Marna was born with a condition called arthrogryposis that causes very weak muscles and stiff joints. “So, I can move. I can feel. I just cannot walk and I can’t lift my arms above my head.” When she was younger, Marna never had anyone she could look up. She used leg braces and, eventually, a wheelchair but that was never portrayed in the media. Now, she’s hoping to be that role model for others. “I want to be that inspiration for the little girl, or little boy that’s looking at the TV going, ‘Well, where am I? How am I being represented?’” Today, she’s standing in front of the judges with an amazing performance of ‘Million Reasons’ from Lady Gaga. From Marna’s contagious personality to her strong vocals, she quickly made an impression on the judges. After earning 3 ‘yes’ votes and her ticket to Hollywood, Katy Perry let Marna know that this had nothing to do with her condition and everything to do with her talent. “We are going to treat you the same and put the same pressure on you.” An excited Marna fist-bumped the judges and shared the good news with her family. What an unforgettable audition.

18-Year-Old Michael Williams Sings 'You Say' During The Voice Blind Auditions

18-year-old Michael Williams impressed the coaches with his rendition of ‘You Say’ on The Voice. In 2018, this song became a smash hit for Christian artist Lauren Daigle. The uplifting lyrics remind us all that God is with us every step of the way. “I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know” Today, Michael Williams is hoping his unique rendition of this Christian tune will be enough to earn a chair turn from one of the coaches. As this young talent belted out the iconic words, newest coach Nick Jonas was moved to turn around. “You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak And you say I am held when I am falling short And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours” When God is by our side, there is truly nothing that can stand in the way. What a beautiful blessing for our Savior. After hearing Michael’s falsetto, Nick knew that this was an artist he wanted to have on his team. As a singer who sings in his falsetto for upwards of 60 minutes every night, in concert, Nick knows how to help Michael tap into all of his potential. This is sure to be a pairing to look out for in the upcoming competition.

18-Year-Old Zack Dobbins Is A 'Diamond In The Rough' On American Idol

18-year-old Zack Dobbins shows the judges to never judge a book by the cover with his unique American Idol audition. Zach hails from Clay, West Virginia where it’s no surprise to see a relative going down the road or recognizing a friend from their exhaust. Despite his rough exterior, Zack is a music man at heart. “Music is a passion. You just gotta do what you like. And if nobody likes it, then that’s too bad, ‘cause you do.” After making a promise to a girl, Zack agreed to audition for American Idol. Even though he is no longer with that girl, he decided to honor his word and attend the call. But even Zack admits that he isn’t experienced in this glamorous world. “I don’t know nothin’ about singing. Other than I like to do it.” Donning cowboy boots and a ball cap, Zack had the judges taking a second glance. But a few beats into his original song ‘Miss Use’ and he had won over the judges with his soulful tone and honestly. Judge Katy Perry said, “You’ve got a sound. You’re so authentic. Yeah, a lot of these people out here, they’re polished. They’ve been to some fancy school. They know blah, blah, blah. They can’t sing half as good as you.” And Lionel Ritchie agreed that Zack had a unique quality. “You’re giving us heart and soul and real. And you just stay being like you.” After 3 ‘yes’ votes, Zack was given his golden ticket to Hollywood where he will compete with others to win the ultimate title of American Idol. I think Katy said it best when she said, “He was a diamond in the rough.” And we’ve only scratched the surface of this rising star.

Alright,” John Legend says while Thunderstorm is performing. Right after that, Blake Shelton turns his chair around to see the beautiful acoustic performance of ‘Blackbird.’ By the end of the song, Thunderstorm managed to get all four judges chairs turned around and a standing ovation from the audience. “That is what this show is all about. That was unbelievable,” says Nick Jonas. “Your vocal control was just perfect, and I need you on my team. I believe that with you, we can go very, very far together. There’s definitely a story there that you can share with the world. And I’m telling you, they’re going to be honored to get to hear you sing. And I would be honored to be your coach, man.” After Nick shares his thoughts, Kelly asks the performer a question. “Is that your given name? Thunderstorm?” she asks. “Yeah, from birth,” he replies. “Oh my, I love your parents,” Kelly tells him with a huge smile on her face. Then she goes on to tell Thunderstorm why she would love to have him on her team. “We turned around that quickly because we’re all very aware what is standing on stage right now. Which is someone who could win this competition,” she explains. “There’s nothing really anyone here is going to do for you vocally what God has not already gifted you with naturally. I think it would be really cool to take songs, and then you totally twist it. I think that you are going to do that all day and all night on this show. We’re just going to be your cheerleaders, trying to help you navigate the competition aspect. I have navigated a competition as a singer before and ended up winning. So, I can do that with you, I promise.” It's clear to see why all four judges want this amazing singer on their team! His God-given talents are sure to take him far, no matter who he chooses!
