A Prayer to Thank God for the Earth | Your Daily Prayer

When was the last time you truly stopped… and noticed God’s creation?

From the vast oceans to the smallest details of life, the earth reflects the power, wisdom, and beauty of our Creator. Yet so often, we rush through our days without recognizing the wonder around us.

In Job 38:4–7, God reminds us of His greatness:

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?”

Today’s prayer is an invitation to:

🌍 Slow down

🌿 See creation with fresh eyes

🙏 Thank God for His incredible work

As believers, we don’t just admire the earth—we recognize it as a gift from God and a reflection of His glory. And we are called to care for it as faithful stewards.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, distracted, or overwhelmed… let this prayer recenter your heart in awe and gratitude.

How To Be Lifted By God (James 4:10)

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10 Reflection: We all know the ache of striving—the chase for dreams, the balancing of demands, the weight of uncertainty. The world shouts that worth is earned through achievements, polished appearances, or tight control. But God whispers a better truth: True greatness begins when we stop climbing and start kneeling. Like an ancient oak, humility isn’t about shrinking your story; it’s rooting it in the One who holds all things together. Whether you’re juggling deadlines, caring for loved ones, or facing trials that steal your breath, surrender isn’t defeat—it’s wisdom in motion. When we unclench our grip on timelines and outcomes, God lifts us into His unshakable purpose. That dream that’s stalled? That relationship that feels stuck? That fear whispering “failure”? Entrust it to His care. What looks like an ending, God calls a seed—planted in fertile soil, waiting to burst into bloom. Here’s the miracle: Your surrender isn’t loss. It’s the sacred exchange where God transforms your humility into shelter for others, your trials into testimony, and your quiet “yes” into a legacy only He could write. Today, let your heart rest here: The Author of eternity is still writing your story, and His best chapters begin when we trust Him with the pen. Ask Yourself: Where in your life are you exhausting yourself trying to prove your worth? What might change if you surrendered your need to control to God's perfect strength? #JesusisLord, #GodisLOve

Blocks That Keep You From Reading the Bible

Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today!

When the desire to spend time in God’s Word feels more like a heavy obligation than a joyful habit, how do you get back on track—and why do we carry so much guilt when we fall behind? In this episode of the Praying Christian Women podcast, Jaime and Alana reunite to tackle a struggle that impacts almost every believer: making daily Bible reading a consistent reality.

What starts as a simple lack of interest or the temptation to "coast" on past spiritual knowledge can quickly form towering "Bible blocks." Through honest and candid conversation, Jaime and Alana unpack the hidden obstacles keeping us from Scripture. We explore how decision fatigue, physical limitations, and the pressure to study the "right way" can paralyze our quiet times, and why envying someone else’s 5 a.m. discipline might be missing the point entirely.

Along the way, they share personal stories—from memorable first Bibles to the sometimes unpredictable results of playing "Bible roulette."

Whether you are overwhelmed by where to start or simply need a reminder that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to quiet time, we hope you’ll join us as we learn to strip away the expectations of others and discover a genuine, grace-filled way to connect with God through His Word.

How Trauma-Informed Support Brings Hope to the Homeless and Restores Dignity – Episode 366

Homelessness is more than what we see on the surface. Behind every face is a story shaped by trauma, loss, and a longing for dignity. In this conversation, Baron King and I look deeper at how trauma-informed support can bring healing, restore identity, and offer real hope to the homeless through compassionate care and community.

Powerful Story of One Woman's Faith, Obedience and God's Amazing Work

This powerful story demonstrated the power of one woman’s faith, obedience and God’s amazing work. The pastor mentioned how his mother contracted a devastating, life-altering disease and how the Lord was still able to do jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring things regardless. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to hear this tear-jerking story of faith that shows that little is much when God is involved.

Human beings are by nature fallen and lost. Perfection is not an achievable state for anyone. We all have our failures, flaws and blemishes, and this doesn’t change even after confessing our sins and accepting the Lord’s forgiveness. We will always fall short here and there, but thank God for His grace because without it. It is only through His continual grace that we are forgiven and have hope and a future.

Amazingly, even though humans are imperfect and make a mess of anything and everything, God can and still does work in those situations. He can bring about beauty where there is destruction and ruin. He regularly turns our messes into masterpieces, creating something we never thought possible.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pastor shares a powerful story about his mother, which happened when he was a little kid, around 8 years old.

Sadly, the story begins with the pastor of his church telling his mother, who had just contracted polio, that the church no longer wanted her and her family to attend. She was, according to that pastor, “God was through with her.” What person, who considers themselves a Christian, thinks that, let alone says it to someone?

Well, she refused to listen to that pastor’s hurtful words. She knew that the Lord was not done with her. Soon, another pastor came into town, and he put that woman in charge of the church’s Sunday school. Sunday school attendance was next to nothing, but she was faithful and obedient, trusting God would deliver.

And He did in a big, powerful and surprising way. No one could have ever predicted or envisioned how the Lord would come through in that situation.

Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Lord God! See, You have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm, and there is nothing you are not able to do:”

How to Find Peace in the Midst of Chaos

Today, let's discover the restful peace our Shepherd provides in life's chaos. Have a blessed day.

A Prayer for Humility | When You’re Tempted to Think Too Highly of Yourself (Luke 18:9-14)

Have you ever caught yourself quietly thinking… “At least I’m not like them?”

Pride can be subtle—but it can also be dangerous.

In Luke 18:9–14, Jesus tells a powerful parable of two men who prayed—one full of pride, the other full of humility. And it was the humble man, not the religious one, who walked away justified before God.

This prayer is for those moments when:

  • You feel spiritually “better” than others
  • You struggle with comparison or judgment
  • Pride begins to creep into your heart

Scripture reminds us that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. True growth in our faith begins when we recognize our need for Him.

Tonight, lay down your pride…

and receive His mercy.

This Child's Generosity Will Touch Your Heart

This child’s generosity will touch your heart. Surprisingly, he was willing to do whatever he could do to lend a helping hand. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see what the young man did when he learned someone was in need.

Everyone would like to think that they are generous and kind. No one thinks of themselves as stingy or uncaring. People want to believe that if someone approached them with a need and asked for help, they’d instantly respond, give generously and do so without hesitation. But is that really the case? We’d sure like to think so, wouldn’t we?

Are we really generous, or is that belief simply something we perceive in our minds, and not reflective of reality at all? What would we do if someone approached us and said they needed help with this or that, and if we could only give this amount of money, that would solve their issue? Would we give them the money or turn our nose up at them, believing their problems are not our issues? That’s certainly something to think about and consider.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man was approached and informed about someone in need. This person was in desperate need of money for formula. What he did next will warm your heart and touch it.

After hearing about his mother’s friend, the little guy did not hesitate. He immediately went out to his piggy bank and started sorting through his money. He lovingly and generously started handing over his own money to help someone else.

“I’m pretty sure I can share my money,” the little guy said.

His actions and concern are a perfect example for everyone. He was not even worried about being paid back for his generosity. He did not set any conditions on the money he was handing over. The only thing he did not want to part with was his coins, because he likes them.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, crushed down, full and running over, they will give to you. For in the same measure as you give, it will be given to you again.”

TV Station Meteorologist Fulfills Childhood Dream Live on Air

A television station meteorologist fulfilled a childhood dream live on air. This surprising thing was something that he had always wanted to do since he was a child, and he made his dream a reality. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to hear what he had always wanted to do and how, when he saw an opportunity to make it happen, he took it.

Everyone, even people who may not always vocalize and announce them, has dreams, goals and aspirations - things they hope to accomplish in life. People are always looking toward and planning for the future, and part of that includes setting goals and other achievements we hope to reach. That’s only natural. Can you think of anyone who does not have something they want to do or accomplish?

Now, while everyone has goals, they are not always, if ever, the same, of course. Some dreams and aspirations will change over time, whether because of our age or because we make them a reality. Others, though, will remain the same despite the passage of time. It’s likely that everyone holds onto goals and aspirations from childhood.

In a clip posted on social media, a meteorologist was reporting outside when he saw an opportunity to do something that he’d wanted to do since he was a child. He didn’t let the fact that he was on live television keep him from trying to make it a reality either.

“Now, this is something I’ve always wanted to do,” the meteorologist states.

What he wanted to do was get a large truck to honk its horn by making the universally agreed-upon motion for someone to honk their horn as they drive by. Initially, he didn’t have success, wondering out loud where all the traffic had suddenly gone. But then, things quickly turned.

A truck driver obliged the meteorologist’s request as it went by and honked its horn, causing him to jump up and down with excitement.

“I did it,” he said. “I did it, man! I got one.”

Philippians 3:14 “I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

A Night Prayer to Stop Striving and Trust God | Rest in His Work (Philippians 2:13)

Do you ever feel discouraged in your faith… like you’re not growing fast enough?

Tonight’s prayer is a reminder that you were never meant to carry your spiritual growth on your own.

Philippians 2:13 tells us:

“It is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”

Even when you feel like you’re failing…

Even when growth feels slow…

Even when you’re discouraged…

God is still working in you.

If you’ve been:

  • Striving to be “better” on your own
  • Feeling defeated by setbacks
  • Wondering if you’re making progress

This prayer will help you release the pressure, embrace God’s grace, and rest in the truth that His power is made perfect in your weakness.

You don’t have to strive tonight.

You can rest.

A Prayer for Those Who Hurt You | Choosing Grace Over Bitterness (1 Peter 4:8)

What do you do when someone deeply hurts you?

When you’ve been wronged, misunderstood, or even betrayed… your natural response may be to defend yourself, expose the truth, or hold onto the hurt. But God calls us to something higher.

In 1 Peter 4:8, we are reminded:

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”

That kind of love isn’t easy.

It requires surrender.

It requires grace.

It requires trusting God with the outcome.

If you’re struggling with:

  • Bitterness toward someone who hurt you
  • The desire to defend or expose
  • Letting go of offense and disappointment

This prayer will help you release that burden to God and choose love, even when it’s hard.

Because healing begins when we trust God to handle what we cannot.

Prayer for Spiritual Growth | Your Nightly Prayer

Do you feel like your faith isn’t growing the way you hoped?

Tonight’s prayer is a powerful reminder that true spiritual growth doesn’t happen on the surface—it starts deep within. Just like a tree needs strong roots to thrive, our faith depends on how deeply we are rooted in Christ.

Colossians 2:7 tells us to be “rooted and built up in Him… strengthened in the faith.” But in a busy world, it’s easy to settle for a shallow connection with God—turning to Him only when we need something.

God is inviting you into something deeper.

If you’ve been:

  • Feeling spiritually stagnant
  • Struggling to stay consistent in your faith
  • Wanting a deeper relationship with God

This prayer will help you cultivate a heart open to growth, build stronger spiritual habits, and draw closer to Jesus in every season.

Tonight, rest in His presence… and let your roots grow deeper.

The Workers Are Few | Your Daily Prayer

What if God is calling you to something greater than you’ve imagined?

In today’s prayer, we reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:35–38—“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” These words are not just for the disciples… they are for us today.

Jesus saw the crowds and was filled with compassion. He saw people who were hurting, lost, and searching for hope. And He still sees them today.

The question is:

Will we respond?

Whether you’re called to go across the world or serve right where you are, God invites you to be part of His mission. Even small acts of obedience—praying, giving, sharing your faith—can have eternal impact.

If you’ve ever felt a stirring in your heart to do more for God’s Kingdom, this prayer will help you surrender, listen, and say “yes” to His leading.

God Is Holding You Through This | Your Nightly Prayer

Are you walking through a season of change?

Tonight’s prayer is for anyone navigating transition—the bittersweet moments where joy and sorrow exist side by side. Whether you’re letting go, stepping into something new, or feeling uncertain about what’s ahead, this devotional is a reminder:

You are not alone. God is holding you through it all.

Inspired by Deuteronomy 33:27, we are reminded that “the eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Even when life shifts, relationships change, or the future feels unclear—God remains constant.

If you’re:

Facing a major life transition

Grieving what was while stepping into what’s next

Feeling overwhelmed by change

This prayer will help you rest in God’s presence, trust His plan, and find peace in every season.
