A Prayer to Embrace Imperfection | Your Daily Prayer

This encouraging prayer reminds believers that God lovingly shapes imperfect people through grace, growth, and redemption.

The Importance of Scripture Memory Part 2: Alana's Testimony

Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today!

What happens when the spiritual disciplines that once came naturally suddenly feel completely out of reach?

In Part 2 of their conversation on Scripture Memorization, Jaime and Alana tackle the mental blocks, perfectionism, and daily distractions that often keep us from hiding God's Word in our hearts.

They discuss why getting an "80%" on a memory verse is infinitely better than never opening your Bible, and why the simple act of slowing down to absorb Scripture is a valuable spiritual practice in itself—even if you forget the exact words a few weeks later.

Alana opens up with a deeply personal testimony about a grueling season in college when the stress of her studies caused her to lose her ability to recall Scripture completely, and how God graciously restored that gift during a profound moment on a mission trip to Russia. Jaime shares a beautiful story about how a specific passage in Matthew ministered to her teenage son's doubts, proving that the Holy Spirit can bring the Word to mind exactly when it is needed.

Along the way, they swap practical, everyday tools for getting verses to stick when your adult brain feels a little too full. From using dry-erase boards and acronyms to incorporating sign language and leaning into the undeniable staying power of catchy children's Sunday school songs, they offer realistic ways to make memorization work for you.

Whether you are battling the friction of an overwhelmed mind, wondering which passage to pick first, or simply need a gentle reminder that your spiritual gifts are a daily grace to be stewarded, we hope this episode encourages you to embrace the beautiful, imperfect process of knowing God through His Word.

Wayne Stiles Walks Where Job Once Did—and Brings His Story to Life

Wayne Stiles walked where Job likely once did and brings his story to life. While giving viewers an up-close tour of and a look at the lands where the Old Testament figure lived, Wayne shared some fresh and powerful insight into Job’s suffering and the knowledge and ways of God. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear and see the story of Job brought to life.

Life is a gift bestowed upon us by the Creator. However, not every moment in life is full of rainbows and roses. Everyone will face hardships and trials. Pain and suffering are very, very real. It’s an unfortunate and inescapable fact that everyone will encounter struggles at one time or another. But it’s how we handle those struggles and what we do amid those unfortunate situations and circumstances that count.

The Bible makes this incredibly clear, especially in the story of Job. Job was a man of God who was materially extremely blessed. He had a large family and lots of friends. However, all of that was soon taken from Job. He was being tested to see if he would continue worshipping and praising the Lord amid his struggles and heartache.

Despite instructions from friends and even his wife to curse God and die, Job remained faithful. However, Job still questioned God, asking why he endured so much suffering.

In the video, Wayne explores the Timna Valley in southern Israel. The camera gives wide, sweeping views of the awe-inspiring landscape, making you feel as if you can almost reach out and touch one of those many beautiful rock formations. The landscapes captured in the nine-and-a-half-minute clip are nothing short of awe-inspiring, something to behold.

While walking through the stunning area, Wayne periodically stops and reads from the Bible, literally bringing verses to life and giving viewers a look at the land where Job likely underwent his great struggles.

Throughout the video, Wayne shares valuable words of wisdom about the reason for Job’s suffering.

“God never told Job why it all happened to him, and Job couldn’t have understood it anyway, even if he was told,” Wayne says. “Knowing why wasn’t what Job needed. What he needed was a deeper appreciation of the God who is in control.”

Job 5:17 “Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not you chastening of the Almighty.”

Wayne Stiles Explores the Land of God’s Deliverance in Egypt

Wayne Stiles explores the land where God delivered His people out of slavery in Egypt. It’s a beautiful, up-close look at the land of the Pharaohs, where Moses was raised and eventually led his people from captivity to the wilderness, where they wandered for 40 years. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to see the story of Moses and ancient Egypt come to life.

For every follower of Jesus Christ, getting into and studying the Bible regularly is a must. The Bible is God’s Word and is essentially a blueprint and an instruction manual for life. The lessons and teachings found in the Bible can and should be applied to our everyday lives, guiding, directing and influencing how we think, act and interact with one another.

Additionally, throughout the Bible, we encounter many recognizable and memorable people, including Noah, Moses, David, Paul, the 12 disciples and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible also provides details about where these people lived. To many people, while they may be followers of Jesus Christ, those ancient lands may seem so far removed from their reality, including Egypt, the African country in which the Jews, God’s chosen people, were held in captivity for hundreds of years.

In the video, Wayne brings that ancient land and the stories mentioned in the Bible to life. He explores and tours the land of the pyramids, where the pharaoh refused to let God’s people go until He sent several plagues upon the Egyptian people. He also provides viewers with a look at the pyramids and ancient monuments constructed to honor the pharaohs mentioned in the Bible.

In addition to the tour of the ancient land and the awe-inspiring views, Wayne provides excellent historical context. He mentions which pharaohs ruled during which section mentioned in the Bible.

Even for a regular reader of the Bible, grasping the timeline can be difficult at times. However, Wayne does a terrific job of breaking this down, mentioning who would have ruled Egypt at this or that period.

This short clip is absolutely fascinating! Wayne brings to life the story of Moses and Pharaoh’s refusal to release the Jews from captivity in Egypt.

Acts 7:22 “And Moses was trained in all the wisdom of Egypt and was great in his words and works.”

What the Israelites’ Time in the Desert Teaches Us About God and His Word

The Israelites spent a fair amount of time wandering in the desert after escaping captivity in Egypt. God did not permit them to enter the Promised Land immediately. However, their wandering and time in the desert can teach us some important things about God, His word and our attention. Specifically, it shows us that we must slow down, spend time with God and read and study His Word daily. Watch the short but insightful clip to hear how the lessons from the Israelites’ time in the desert can be applied to our daily lives.

Most people lead busy, chaotic and hectic lives. Because of work and family commitments, many are pulled in 100 different directions daily. We have this or that we must get to, or that has to be completed or we’re running little Johnny to that practice or game.

The demands on our time have become so great and frequent that we’ve come up with a term that has become quite popular: multitasking. Often, because we are crunched for time, we’ll do more than one activity at once to squeeze in another and make the most of our limited time.

In the video, Wayne Stiles explains why it’s essential to slow down, make time for God and get into His word daily. He uses the time the Israelites spent wandering in the desert to help illustrate this point. He also tours and walks through the likely site where the Israelites spent all that time in the desert.

“What gets your attention first each day?” Wayne asks. “Before the rush of our to-do lists and our daily productivity, God urges us to come up here to the foot of Mt. Sinai and pause. That’s what the Lord did with His people. After freeing them from Egypt, He could have led straight up into Canaan. After all, what better place to receive the Holy Bible than in the Holy Land? But the Lord wanted them to have His word before they moved into their future.”

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and full of power, and is sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through and making a division even of the soul and the spirit, the bones and the muscles, and quick to see the thoughts and purposes of the heart.”

Josh Groban Takes Rapid-Fire Questions Mid-Teacup Ride

Josh Groban took a series of rapid-fire questions mid-teacup ride. The beloved singer, while enjoying a ride on one of Disneyland's most iconic attractions, was asked a series of questions. Watch the short but eye-opening clip to hear what Josh had to say about a variety of topics and subjects.

Disneyland in Southern California and its East Coast counterpart, the Disney World resort, in Central Florida, are two of the most iconic and beloved theme parks in the entire world. Whenever someone mentions Disney, more than likely an image of those towering castles immediately pops into your head. It’s either the castle or one of their legendary attractions, like Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It’s a Small World or the Matterhorn.

In addition to all the iconic rides, those sweet, sugary treats and long lines, you can never be totally what or who you might see when visiting a Disney park. You may get off Pirates of the Caribbean and run right into Captain Jack Sparrow, Capt. Hook and his faithful, diminutive and slightly overweight sidekick, Mr. Smee. Or as one clip posted on YouTube shows, you might even come across a celebrity, a world-class singer.

Josh Groban was just about to enjoy a ride on the Mad Hatter’s Teacups when he had someone else join him right before the attraction got underway. He was then asked a series of probing questions as he enjoyed a ride on the whirling and twirling teacups.

Naturally, being in Disneyland and with Josh being a world-renowned singer with an unmistakable voice, the first question was about his favorite Disney song.

“Oh, got to be ‘When You Wish Upon a Star,’ a classic,” Josh said.

Later, he was asked which Disney character, if given the opportunity, he would like to sing a song with, and his answer is likely to surprise you.

“I would love to duet with Goofy,” he said. “I feel like the two of us have beautiful, baritone voices, and it would go really well.”

The “You Raise Me Up” singer was also asked about his first concert. This one is sure to throw you for a loop, too.

“My first ever concert I ever attended was third grade – New Kids on the Block Christmas concert at the Forum,” he said. ‘Thanks, Dad!”

These are only a couple of the handful of questions Josh was asked during his ride on the teacups.

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

Where Is God When Satan Is Knocking?

A powerful reminder that even when the enemy attacks, God is still present, still protecting, and still fighting for us. For anyone facing spiritual pressure or silent battles, this message brings hope and strength.

I told my crew about it beforehand and the pilots gave them a warm welcome, especially my little nephew. They let him do cool things in the flight deck. Credit: Lauren Brinkley

God Sees Your Consistency | Your Nightly Prayer

Faithfulness can feel exhausting when you do not see results.

There are seasons where serving God feels quiet, unnoticed, and even discouraging. You keep praying, helping, teaching, loving, and showing up faithfully, yet it seems like nothing is changing. But Scripture reminds us that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.

Tonight’s devotional prayer encourages you to stay consistent in your obedience, even when the fruit is invisible. God sees every act of faithfulness, every unseen sacrifice, and every moment you choose to keep going. Your consistency matters more than you realize.

A Prayer of Thanks for the Prayers God Didn’t Answer | Your Daily Prayer

Have you ever thanked God for a prayer he didn’t answer?

At first, unanswered prayers can feel painful and confusing. We wonder why God stayed silent or closed a door we desperately wanted opened. But often, with time and perspective, we begin to realize that God was lovingly protecting us from something we could not yet see.

This devotional prayer is a reminder that God’s wisdom is always higher than ours. His delays, denials, and redirections are not signs of abandonment — they are evidence of his loving care. Even when we don’t understand his answers in the moment, we can trust that he always sees the full picture of our lives.
