Sheree tells her family story as part of our midweek Lenten series, “God Can See You Through This…” It was just another normal day until tragedy struck the family at 7:15 a.m. on March 8, 2012. Jacob, youngest son of Baxter and Sheree, suffered a massive head trauma as a result of a single car wreck on the way to his last week of high school as a senior. Sheree takes us through this 2 year journey and shares how their daily lives have changed; doctors, work and faith. God continues to give the family strength and hope to fight on, sometimes against medical advice, as God works miracle after miracle in their lives.

Reef was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 5 months old. At 11 months old he achieved remission through a Bone Marrow Transplant but then contracted GVHD. I think most (if not all) of us Christians have times in our lives when our faith wavers, worries consume us, and doubts and questions creep in. Then we remember the Truth, God's promises. He will never let us go. And that Truth is always the same. It's what we know.

"You Are' is a God inspired conference for teenage girls to help them uncover their identity in God. Often young women define themselves by what media says they are and because it sets a standard of beauty that is out of their reach, they don't feel they measure up. Equally, society often sends the message that external beauty makes them more valuable so again, they get the get the strong message; "I am not enough." God says "YOU ARE.. precious, loved, empowered, created for a purpose. His definition of beauty is different. EVERY young woman is unique. Inspired by the studies of Brene Brown around shame and vulnerability, the Self Worth project and the word of God which speaks TRUTH and LIFE for our young women.
Teenage girls can struggle with their self confidence as they wrestle with who they are and the adult they are becoming. The best gift a mother can give her daughter is to accept herself. In doing this, she will give her daughter permission to accept herself. This movie clip is a tribute to mothers and the special relationship they have with their daughters. It took awhile for me to truly see myself as that. When I did and walked in confidence, I began to minister to other women about their worth and how God sees them as a Princess. One day, through my faithfulness, God promoted me. He revealed that to lead and help other women see themselves as a princess, I must advance to Queen.
