In Prototype, Jonathan Martin creates a vivid understanding of what it means to be beloved by God. To completely trust, as Jesus did, that God loves you. To live life without fear, confident in your identity and purpose. To handle life’s wounds as Jesus did, and to wake every day with a deep awareness of God’s presence.
Martin reveals a startling truth at the heart of the gospel: Jesus is our prototype. And as we discover how the knowledge of being God’s beloved changed everything for Jesus—how it set Him free to live out his purpose and love God, others, and the world—it will begin to do the same for us.

Colton made it pretty deep into the American Idol competition in 2012. Bumped out probably earlier than he deserved. Still, good job to get as far as he did. This is a very inspiring song that he co-wrote, from his album "A Messenger". A message of praise and thanks to our everloving Lord.

Karen Lynne is a bluegrass singer/songwriter from Australia. She is awesome. She recently recorded a gospel bluegrass album called "Shine Your Light" (see Matthew 5:16), which I don't believe has been released yet, but she was kind enough to send me a preview copy. I was hooked by the very first song, "Little Mountain Church House", written by Carl Jackson and Jim Rushing. Very touching lyrics. What imagery.
Yeah, I know, I already created a video for this song as recorded by Ricky Skaggs. There are no rules here (well, that's not true, there are lots of rules, but not one that applies to this situation), I can cheat and make another video with the same pictures and different music.
Anyway, thank you Karen, this is a wonderful rendition. And the musicians are fantastic, too.
I heard this song on Lisa Daggs' weekly radio show "Reality Check" on 103.9 The Fish in Sacramento. It's from her album "Forgiveness Is A Powerful Thing" (and, yes, it is). I used some artistic license and interpreted it as a song about a Down's Syndrome girl, but it could go many different directions. But that was what I envisioned. Very cool song. Thank you, Lisa! Written by James Hudson and C. Evan Leonard. Hope I did it justice.
