045 - A Walk Through The Book Of ROMANS (Sess 45 - CH 13:11-14) 2-17-15 SD

We continue our ongoing walk through the Book of Romans. This week we finished chapter 13, verses 11-14. We looked today at the need to walk the walk as we know to walk it, and to live soberly and godly, as the day draws nearer for the coming of the Lord. (Pastor Charles was dealing with an extremely painful sinus headache, but he pressed on and conducted the Bible Study anyway.) (Sess 45 - CH 13:11-14) 2-17-15 SD

The Story of Samson

n this message we hear the Old Testament story of Samson (about a God who works through, around, and in spite of, our disobedience, selfishness, violence, trickery and sacrilege to save us).

“A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, “You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son. Now see to it that you drink no wine or other fermented drink and that you do not eat anything unclean. You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines…”
Judges 13:2-5, NIV

Stay Focused

Hebrews 12:1-29

Even though you have faith, it doesn't mean that you get the promise. The promise of the Messiah that was to come. We are holding to something that we don't have to, and it's not letting us finish the race in our lives. You need to try to do what God set before you to do. We have to lay the weight down.... We have to be vigilant in the things of God to stay on the course that He has for us; those same things that are holding you back from seeing Heaven. We have to build our strength in Christ Jesus. You have to be the manager of the things that you let in your mind, and take responsibility for the things that you are looking, listening and doing. This run for Christ is like running a marathon. You have to run with patience. Run this race the way the hair grows out of your head. God wants us to run this race with patience. We don't consider the consequences for our actions.

Not only did God write your course he also know how you finish. He is the author and finisher of our lives by following the Holy Spirit. We have to let Jesus lead us. Life is not always roses and good. There will come a time that you will want / need to be hidden in Christ. You can't finish your race in Christ Jesus if you don't endure. When you are going through you have to keep trusting God, you can't turn away. Some of the issues that we find ourselves in is our own doing. Only by the Grace and Mercy of God, he can see fit to keep us and help us

2-15-15 MESSAGE: "Trophy Bride or Stepford Wife?"

The fictional "Stepford wives" were robotic creations of their husbands. Many preach that this is what God expects of His people. Mindless, robotic submission and mechanical obedience. But God has made a way for His bride to be a trophy bride, not a Stepford wife! Very inspiring and uplifting message!

Romans 1:1-17

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: 7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
