He declared that understanding their primary identity as "images of God", opposed to just sinners, is essential.

On September 24, 2012 at Convocation, North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students, Donald Trump began his speech with the dire state of the nation's economy and its failed foreign relations and then engaged students for 30 minutes about the values that brought him to the pinnacle of real estate development and business success. Trump finished by addressing a few questions from students, which had been texted during the speech. Trump also spent time praising Liberty for its notoriety and honoring its founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr., whom he had met on several occasions and Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. Prior to his speech, Trump was awarded an honorary doctorate of business in recognition of his "unwavering and public commitment to our nation's founding principles of limited government, individual liberty, and the free enterprise system, and in further recognition of his iconic status as one of America's most successful visionaries and entrepreneurs."
On September 26, 2014, at Convocation, North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students, TV and Movie actor Kirk Cameron addressed the students about the war on Christmas. Kirk talks about Christmas and the worlds view on the holiday. He takes a stand for Christmas and looks back on the word and how it relates to the holiday of Christmas and Jesus.

On October 16, 2013 at Convocation, North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students, Bethany Hamilton shared her story with students and faculty, explaining how God was with her through it all. Bethany held their attention with her words of motivation, saying, "If you choose to give God your life, He will take your passions and make them even bigger passions."
At the age of thirteen, on October 31, 2003, Bethany was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark while surfing off Kauai's North Shore. The attack left Bethany with a severed left arm. Since losing her arm, Bethany's story has been told in hundreds of media outlets and she has been recognized with numerous awards, public appearances, and various speaking engagements.
Just over a year after the attack she took 1st place in the Explorer Women's division of the 2005 NSSA National Championships -- winning her first National Title. In 2007, Bethany realized her dream and turned pro. Bethany has since participated in numerous ASP and World Tour Events with her major highlight being a second place finish in the ASP 2009 World Junior Championships.
On March 22, 2013 at Convocation, North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students, Lecrae talked about erasing the secular-sacred divide. He pointed out that everything is God's, so there shouldn't be a division between our role in society and our role in the church. As representatives of God's kingdom, we should engage, love, & rehabilitate every aspect of today's culture for His purposes.
Lecrae is a Christian recording artist and multiple-Grammy nominee. He won the Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Gospel Album.
